    At 3:42 that one rider on a unicycle took fixie to a whole new level. He even has only one tire

    See shit like this is why I wish I lived in a bigger city.. our fixed gear community here is tiny and very exclusive, you can't just meet up with people to ride. No forums/subreddits, no fb groups, nothing. I would love to do this.

      I feel you bru, here in my city is ultra tiny. Most of the fixed riders are friend I've convinced to ride fixed or a few other dudes i met on IG. Even the delivery community is small, the majority of deliviers are made on motorcycles.
      Most people here ride MTB (even after the fact that there are no mountains nearby), not even gravel, just full suspension MTB for minor hills.

      @coreygolphenee9633 Před 2 lety +2

      @Bebo not track drops but compact road drops offer more hand positions and are just better for longer distances

    • @herrdaniel7607
      @herrdaniel7607 Před 2 lety

      @Bebo I mean tbh the drops are good for sprinting and hard efforts thanks to better control of the handlebar, and it puts you in a lower position so you are more aerodynamic. Also easier to bump elbows with other riders when you are fighting for position in a pack. But for normal day to day riding I wouldn’t miss my drops if i cut them off

    • @kennethward9530
      @kennethward9530 Před 2 lety +1

      We should probably also mention the lesson of steel - after crash one merely needs to straighten bars, see if wheels are reasonably round, then go catch group.
      (With carbon one should really check for cracks and ensure headset adjustment still good to avoid "ring of death".)

    530mm is the perfect size for risers, I bought a 40mm Riser bar and totally changed the ride
    I tested every type of bar possible, flat wide (620mm), narrow risers (440mm), bullhorns, drop bars with and without hoods

    • @artvandalay2736

    • @humildemarcelo
      @humildemarcelo Před 2 lety

      For me is 600 mm. I started with 45 flatbar and felt pain in my wrist and shoulders, then I tried 52mm curved flat (city bars) and wasn't just right. In my other bike I ride with 620 mustache bars and now I installed 600mm risers in my main fixie and feels just in the sweetspot.
      Also I can't use dropbars :C
