Lots of the relationship system, imo, feels down bad and rushed, but I really appreciate this scene as it's a very mature, honest, and what I feel like was lacking previously, loving talk between two characters, really glad they added this.
id love short little dlcs where you can catch up with your after story. maybe hanging out with gale in waterdeep, travelling with spawn astarion or helping him rule over the spawn of the underdrark, or dealing with his as the ascended. fighting with karlach and wyll in avernus etc etc etc, maybe even rescuing laezel from vlaakith if she chose to ascend to her or to help her fight

I’m so happy I was able to get this ending on my second walkthrough 🥺 To me, the relationship with Gale was more deep and sincere than with Astarion. He was the one to approve most of my decisions, and I was playing “myself”. So I guess we were compatible in the first place and that is also why this romance became so special ❤😢
I am already grinning like a fool from imagining my Origin Karlach Honor mode playthrough lmao... This is amazing, simply incredible. It won't happen soon though... Don't have much free time and still have a lot to learn about encounters to tackle Honor mode with as little problems as possible.

Spoilers for the Dark Urge storyline I romanced Gale in my Durge playthrough. When he said I can invite my people I was like "Bruh who would i invite? I killed my "sister" and my "father" is the god of murder I have no family" 😂
A number of things I don’t like about the Waterdeep idea, don’t really like teacher Gale, he seems pompous and he’s just started to get away from that, plus Waterdeep is where he had his relationship with Mystra, got into trouble with the orb and spent months living alone in fear on dying, it doesn’t seem like the best start to the marriage, also like the idea of adventuring with my new husband.
@@samantha_shaw that’s a valid point but if you choose the right options you get a really wholesome ending with him in waterdeep Worth it to try if you want to romance him on your next playthrough

You do know his ex is literally the one he worships, right? He can never escapes her but he can be content with you. For him, you put the stars to shame after all.
It's not just an ex. She is his goddess, and she has a claim on his soul. He needs to stay devoted to her, or when he dies she will not claim his soul, and he will suffer for eternity. And he only mentions her name, because she is going to get rid of an orb, and that will assure his and Tav's future together. Any Tav that wants to have Gale by their side will need to make peace with the fact that Mystra will always have to be a spiritual figure in his life, not to mention he feels her presence every time he uses magic, because she is the Weave. But at the end of the day he loves Tav more than he ever did Mystra, probably because they are equals.
@@pativi6643 I believe Mystra doesn't really care what Gale does as long as she gets the crown back, he still respects her as the god she is and the weave but no longer as his love, that is what she wants.

Though interestingly, if you play as Gale and romance someone, during the meeting with her, she will ask him - why didn't he follow with the order to blow up and destroy the brain in Act 2. If he answers with "I found someone I have to live for." She will reply with.... "I know. Your union is a surprising one, but it is not the worst choice you have made." Ha! Imagine if she said that to Gale while Tav is romancing him. Players would like to throw hands at her.

Honor mode is a tough one, I never finished tactician mode, a few of the act 3 fights were such a pain.
