There’s such a duality of emotions in watching these great podcasts. On one hand I’m celebrating the win and on the other I’m p*ssed off about how long it took to profile the brilliance of these athletes and their sheer humanity. Most often, I see their intellectual thought and business prowess far exceeds their athletic abilities. Not surprising at all but certainly not the image perpetuated by the masses. Such a time as this might be where we have to focus.

This is random but it’s based off what Gil said, I noticed that the primary defenders on Westbrook are usually the small forwards . How come ball analyst never mention that ; point guard rarely guard him.
Cause none of the guards can stay in front of him. I think he’d still put up OKC numbers if guards were guarding him

Isn't a contradiction for every NBA player to be successful just by getting to the league, but the definition of success is reaching your full potential?
They were successful up to that point. Like when you’re in high school trying to get into college, getting into college means you succeeded. Now you might fail out of college later on, but that later failure doesn’t take away the earlier successes that you had. Maybe your potential was just to make it to college for a few years before dropping out.
Gil have a great point on 34 post up and mid range would only extend his career also impact the offense overall

1. Congrats, Iggy. Not surprising-- well deserved in fact!
2. Gil is such a great get and interview. Great, great story teller with an amazing history and colorful set of experiences. And truly brilliant. About the only time I have seen Iggy cede some intellectual ground in a convo..
3. I hope there is another round of this. And I hope it's longer. When Gil gets going he is hard to follow and sometimes even he loses the train of thought/thread he's on so more time is needed to help balance the banter and side tangents with coherence. And selfishly I just want to hear he and Iggy hash things out as few can go toe to toe with him and make him pause for full thought the way Iggy can.

Steph, 30 points off 14 shots. Okoge will be on the same program as Brooks. Steph was quite masterful with his gravity. Nobody in league history has done it quite like that.
CP is exploring a new way to play basketball. It is a pleasure to watch. He will really be a problem once he gets his handle all the way buttoned up. Not there yet. Everyone says Kyrie has the best handle. My favorite handle is Fultz with Conley having the safest. CP 3 ball is wet!
Klay reminds me of this greyhound I once knew. That greyhound just wanted to run. Klay wants to shoot. I get it. It is tough for him because others get to handle the ball and shoot whenever. He needs to be fed. Gotta be difficult sometimes going your whole career watching Steph shoot whenever as he always has the ball. He should get tremendous credit just for being a great sport about just that. When he plays the total game the Dubs are hard to beat. Luckily he has CP always looking for him.
