Aside from France, Finland have been the only entry to really impress me this year. Loreen is very good but I did not understand the hype after the first watch - at times I found it generic and a little boring. Finland on the other hand impressed off the bat - I would be surprised if this does not win outright.

There's a lot of circus to the show but it is genuinely also a good song. I love the first part of the song especially.
Also it's not _a joke_ song, just a song with humour.
What's fun is that Käärijä is actually a really sweet guy even though the character is shown of as aggressive and badass. In reality he's cool because he's so _uncool_ - a goofball.
If at this point 95% of Eurofans manage to pronounce Kaariah somehow successfully, he's definitely going to win 😂 By the way, what does this name mean? is that a saint? a Finish hero?

But the juries who always adore Sweden they will vote massively for the plagiarised, generic, predictable song of Sweden, and will vote much much lower Finland to make sure that their darling Sweden wins, like they did in 2015 with il volo of italy and the plagiarised song of mans zemerlow of Sweden. @@debsiduracel I read an article that said the creative director is a Swede called Benke Rydman who was offered to do Loreen’s staging but declined.

In Loreen's case, the strongest contender just happens to be a silly performance that's relying on fun factor and engaging the audience like in both 2012 and 2023. 😛

I really have a very split opinion about ChaChaCha. On the one hand, the very original performance gets me totally carried away, but on the other hand, it's musically very undemanding.
Now let's be honest... Every one of us could sing this song. It needs absolutely no talent. Yes, the performance does. But if you just look at the vocals, it's really flat. Very, very flat.
For me, it always takes the whole package to win. Here I get a great cover but the content is missing.

It's not a singing competition! It's a song competition! This is a great song!
This is a song competition that consists of things other than vocals as well. There's composition, production, staging, cinematography, choreography, stage presence, charisma... They look at the whole show. Or do you think Toy won based on stellar vocals? It's also time people stop being so snobbish and recognize rapping as a legitimate form of vocal performance. I guarantee you could not rap with his tone and flow with a couple of practice sessions, people look down on rap so much and it's giving elitism (and especially with black rappers also racism but y'all aren't ready for that convo 🥴)
