- I hope everyone is doing well! MORE VIDEOS ON THE WAY!
This is footage of an American Airlines Boeing 757-200 departing from the Eagle County Regional Airport (KEGE) to Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport (KDFW).
As an active American Airlines employee for 34 years, I must admit, this was our potent bas azz jet we ever purchased. The power of these RB211 engines can't be compared, this was our BEST product to load and unload and will.take off with maximum load with short runway. She is truly missed...
Always wanted to see a Vail video. love the sound 757 fan for life
Got plenty of Vail videos on here. Check them out! ;-)
The Boeing 757 is one of my favorites. Not a "heavy" aircraft, but if you're following a 757 you better be ready for some wake turbulence. Awesome plane and awesome engines.
This is the kind of takeoff that no A321 or 737-8/9 can perform while loaded on this mission.
Awesome video! I'm a native of Denver, Colorado and I live in a suburb of Denver. I've been to Vail, but have never flown into or out of it.
I am very jealous of you! I would love to live out in Colorado. Absolutely gorgeous out there. Can't wait till I head back out there later this year.
amazing video
Why is he holding the breaks on 50% power
Eagle is a tricky airport. After departure you need to rip a left hand turn to avoid a mountain in front of the runway. Therefore, the pilot wants to get off the runway as fast as possible to be ready for the turn. On the same coin, this was a loaded 752. Holding 50% power (or some % of power) prior to letting go of the brakes allows for the thrust to be built up and ready to be used fully after the brakes are released... You can actually relate this directly to newton's third law of motion and conservation of linear momentum.
