The last 2 Big 12 Championship Games have been hugely entertaining. Last year Baylor wins at the last minute. This year it was Kansas State in OT. Both games had huge playoff implications. I love seeing these type of games. It feels like a playoff game. You can’t say that about the other conferences. Every year in the Big 10 it’s Ohio State or Michigan against some 3 or 4 loss team from the West Division that is always a blowout. The SEC is always Alabama or Georgia blowing out somebody. The PAC 12 is always 3 or 4 loss teams playing each other. The ACC is always Clemson blowing out somebody. The Big 12 is the most competitive conference in the country. Every team is evenly matched.

My heart goes out to Duggan, who left everything he had on the field. We may have taken the Big 12 championship from him (and TCU), but they still have an opportunity to play for a much bigger prize.

TCU deserves the playoff spot still. They should stay at 3 anyway. Ohio didn’t play a game this weekend or make it to a championship they should be put in at 4. But who knows. But they played there hearts out for it to even be that close. (If you only watch one team and then look at win loss columns your not a football fan, your just a team fan and those are the worst types of fans).

TCU coaching staff lost this doggone game. I'm so mad I can't even think straight right now... TCU with the ball at the end of regulation decides to take a knee and to go into overtime when they're playing with house money, unbelievable. And then they're down at the 3-inch line and your quarterback is smoking and you don't run a quarterback sneak. It's unbelievable the individuals that have coaching/coordinating jobs in college football and in the NFL. I'm sitting at home watching this game and can do a better job as a pedestrian.

Riley has some sick fascination with running up the middle right after running up the middle didn't work. We were calling for the Field Goal attempt, but he couldn't hear us in the nosebleed section.

TCU is still top four. They may have lost, but so did USC, and Ohio State didnt make its conference championship game, and Bama has no signature wins and 2 losses. TCU will get the fourth seed I think. They just have a better resume than Bama and OSU right now.

I’m really torn on this game and how I should feel afterwords. I like Big 12 representation and I especially like it to be TCU, so I’m kinda bummed out. But I’m a born-and-raised Midwestern so I’m kinda pumped that K-State gave us some pride and relevance back.

my question is in OT inside the 1 if you are going for it on 4th down why not a PA Bootleg with a RPO option for the QB or just a QB sneak with RB running behind to push him in, you don't even need 1 yard. Oh well i am a Alabama fan and i do not think Alabama should be in the playoffs but im all for the chaos just cuz this is a crazy year.

Classic example of a coach somehow completely forgetting what got them there. QB with an amazing effort, carrying the team, somehow had the ball taken out of his hands for the biggest two plays of the game. Unbelievable.
Man, sad to see TCU lose. However, I think they made some mistakes here and there. I also felt that Dykes made too many risky plays. That's my opinion.

Coach and play calling were to blame for TCU to lose the game. Play took too much time, Kansas St. had it pinned. Should have had a series of different plays, not just up the middle handoff. I feel bad for Duggan, his coach let him down.

Im pretty confused cause Hendon Hooker was the favorite for like 7-9 weeks of the year and now isn’t even in consideration and apparently not everyone voted at once? I swear if Matt Duggan does not win the Heisman after this season, it would be such a robbery you might as well give Reggie Bush his vacated trophy back.
This man went from having an nine hour open heart surgery in the summer to being a walk on starter for TCU four weeks later, having to lead his team to comeback after comeback the whole season. And it leads to this fourth quarter drive. The offense is worn out, nobody can get a play going. And this kid just runs it out. And when he finally gets the game tying touchdown and two points, he's on his knees, dry heaving, elbows and nose torn up to hell.
That's the epitome of a Heisman winner. Putting it all on the line for your team, your school, your community, win or loss. 👍

Oklahoma has been in a few times. The Big 12 has no dominant teams so all these games are close and anyone can beat anyone. They want a change because TCU got left out of the playoffs one year because they didn’t have a conference championship game. Everyone agreed that was a joke what happened to them. It made no sense for them to get jumped for not playing an extra game.

@@jonnybaze7449 The criteria is who the CFP picks. There were three 12-1 teams with conf. titles that got in that yr. Baylor (11-1) was #5 and TCU (11-1) was #6. So even if they left a conf. winner out TCU .still wouldn't have got in. It would've been BU, who beat TCU.
