THE MAJORITY of people lost their moral compass 🧭& their ability to read through the BS that MSM feeds us.. plus the people who were in power in 70'$ are still in or have relented to an even worse, drunk with power, emperor with no clothes ,idiotic NWO ideologies which have put this once great nation on the brink of catastrophe..nice job ruling elite 👎🏿💩..& maybe that early 70'$ utopia always looked better through the rose colored glasses & bong smoke anyway 🤫🙉🤐🤔

As far as I can tell from this distance, CAPITALISM won the war or spirituality. Not the church kind, the hippie idealism. My lord, even POT is a product these days, tie-dies come from giant factories in Taiwan rather than our bathtubs. We lost.

I remember going to Baskin Robbins as a child, my father was a carnie and Santana was playing around the corner at the Fillmore.
Captain Beefheart was looking into taking over a fishing vessel. But I was front row for every single show ever.
    Believe it.
    It is right here.

I also saw Hendrix open for the Monkees and Neil Young change the tires on the Beach Boys touring van.

Yea , Now that we no longer have players like Emily Remler & Larry Coryell that would be a hard find to play this as these greats did. John & Carlos were the perfect match in those days & still going strong all these years later. It was great to grow up back then & lucky to have seen both & Emily before she lost her life . Mahavishnu Orchestra was so intense & though Carlos doesn't play as he did he's still got it big time. As for Billy , he's still a force to be reckoned with .

I saw them at the old Chicago Stadium when they toured so many decades ago and it was the worst big convert I ever saw. They were probably great but the sound was so bad we couldn’t distinguish anything. It was just a drone of the two of them trying to play more notes per second than the other. The sound for Elton John was not much better but, perhaps surprisingly, Elvis Presley’s people put he speakers on the scoreboard in the center above the crowd who absorbed the echoes and it was brilliant. It sounded great.
