Ital lifestyle has been around way before vegan lifestyle so Jamaicans are not shifting to a vegan lifestyle we have been cooking ital food all the time.
Agenda IsReal thats true but just because ital has been part of Rasta culture for years doesn’t necessarily mean its been part of Jamaican culture as most Jamaicans arent rasta.
@@RiazPhillips but if you look at most traditional Jamaican dishes most are ital food.

I was in Montego Bay in November for 10 days. Drove through JA to Kingston, but never saw a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. This food looks top notch!
Yes you have to really search through all the Fast food and fried chicken joints to see them. But once you know some rasta you find out there are many and actually one amazing one in Montego bay

Just came across this video and am learning about ital. The video was very interesting and makes me wanna try so much new food... Atm I'm getting back into a plant based diet and now looking into ital as I'm curious by the health benefits and to help the environment. The food looks just wonderful!

@@RiazPhillips All the suggestions I have are childhood favorites mostly in the hills, you would need a local. Caves, rivers, farms, traditional festive dances, little tukshops with delicious roasted yams and all a that😆 The view from the farms on the hill sides are priceless, it never leaves your memory♥💯♥ (Get a good well known local guide)

There are different opinions on soy/tofu. I have no problem with it as long as it’s non-GMO. Keep in mind that over a billion people in Asia consume soy on a daily basis and I never heard of them having any problems.

@@Knockoutchronicles_ now. Jan to april - Summer is too hot, then it gets rainy in the late year. No hotel. Guesthouses or family/friends

@@RiazPhillips I go with sugar usually but that is because I stopped drinking sweetened drinks over a year now. I rarely ever have to sweeten anything unless I'm eating porridge but that's just me.
