    So we've been using the stock tank pool all summer and through much of the football season last year, but there was no where to sit near the pool or set our ice cold beers.
    A simple solution for that was a pool deck that would costs less than $100.
    This stock tank pool deck is mostly made of 2x6s and 6" decking boards. Everything is fastened together with 3" decking screws and eventually cut and rounded off with an electric Jigsaw.
    If you're interested in making a stock tank pool deck, this is the video for you - you just may need to customize it however you see fit but I hope this tutorial provides some inspiration and some tips on how to do it yourself.
    It's also a great way to hide the Intex pool pump for the metal pool.

    What are *your* thoughts on a stock tank pool?
    I get mixed comments on my other videos - I personally loved it.

    Gotta love that deck screw system. I used it on my deck and it made life so much easier!

      Yea it's a game changer. And supposedly helps the longevity of the boards since the screws are on the sides.

    I have been looking at artificial turf and travertine with the artificial turf in between to make a design. It looks so elegant and you don't have to cut grass.There are a lot of videos on DIY or how to. It stays so clean and only takes a blower to get rid of leaves. The ground is made level so no one will fall and get hurt.

      Underwater DIYing would be an awesome niche I'm sure anyone would watch! I probably won't do one here since it's a little cooler most of the year and the house came with a hot tub 😍

    Galvanized steel will rust if the water has chlorine or salt in it 100%. To paint wipe down using acetone (or any solvent) to remove the oil coating. Then a light sand followed by wash/wipe and you're good to spread the epoxy pool paint. The outside can be painted with rustoleom but still would need the same prep for the paint to stick.

    Good, you used lags because decking screws are not made for structural applications!

    • @KellyConcepts
      @KellyConcepts  Před 4 lety

      Good to know, I thought I went overboard with the lag screws but glad to know it is actually what's recommended.
