    I wouldnt use it like that. I would use it for storage of rarely used items. Or for secret storage.

    I did not see any power cables, but the back side was not provided. I did not see any power cords hanging down as the unit was lowered into the cabinet below.
    For those who purchased this item: Would you please provide information regarding these two electrical questions.

      You can see the cords underneath the cabinet. There may be a hole drilled in the back for electrical cords to pass through. Unfortunately, all coffee machines I have seen have tiny cords, so I don't see how these could reach. The only thing that would make sense would be if this unit had an auxilliary power socket that connects via a long cord (like the black one shown in this video) to a permanent wall outlet (similar to the set-up on those A/V carts that schools used to use).

      Changing the cord out on a coffee maker or a longer one is an easy enough task.
