Everyone has different preferences. I like to stay with my family as I do not get to see them often. I did not hear Kyle complain about the cost of his flight. It is how he wants to spend his money. 😀

You did not live through a disaster. A disaster would be if they put people on a broken plane. I look at this is glad they caught the problem so they didn’t have a disaster.
I could never share a bed with my sibling, definitely would need my own room.

I love the family blogs. IMO: WHY would you spend $700 for first class? You would fit just fine in a coach seat. Don’t you think that $ would have been better spent on ADJOINING rooms…one for parents, one for kids. OR…. Food at Disney. OR…. Saved for your next trip? Also, you said First Class WAY TOO MANY times.

When I tell you I rannnnnnn to the comments😂😂 As someone who flies a lot - first class often - never ever EVER pay $700 for first class!!!!! At exactly 24 hours to flight departure, American will offer whatever first class seats are still available for an insanely discounted price - first come, first serve - lounge access is never included.
4 people in that small room? Living the high life on that vlogger budget.

I would say no. I’m in my 30s as a female and love using my back pack. Can’t stand huge luggage and having to wait for baggage claim. 😅

We went to Disney for the first time last December and started watching your videos when researching it. You are now our go to when we plan any vacation. We always check to see if you have any videos about them (Disney hotels and cruises)
This will probably sound crazy but I have been flying spirit airlines and getting an exit row seat. There is tons of extra space. As long as nothing goes wrong with Spirit it is a very nice flight with all that extra room. My last flight nobody was sitting in the middle seat and I had ridiculous space. The young woman next to me even ordered hot cocoa and a bag of boom Chicka pop to celebrate. lol
I feel like Kyle always has to repeat how much he pays for stuff constantly like in this case “first class” like dude we get it.
Get a credit card where you earn miles! We have flown first class for free! I love the warm chocolate chip cookies in first class!
5 hours is not a long trip
Seems every time I do fly, there us a delay. The worst time was in Chicago O'Hare. But the security was so nice and brought me pillows and blanket and a pad ( like a yoga mat) to sleep on the floor . It was so nice of them. I had a delay in Hartford Ct. They gave me a bottle champagne for the trouble. Both flights were delta. That was many years ago.
I think everyone who has flown has been delayed; pretty common

First time I flew was into LAX at night (1976). The lights went on forever, it was really cool.

Last trip to Disney we got on the Spirit plane and had to get back off and wait for another for mechanical issues. Delayed our first Disney day! Then on the way out storms in Atlanta delayed us 7 hours on Delta. That was insane.
Should’ve upgraded to the retro room for the fam instead of first class.
Kyle you need to look into what airport lounges your credit cards give you access to. Chase preferred has priority pass. Used it many times when we ended up delayed and it makes the delays a little less frustrating.
Just cause your first class doesn’t mean you get everything Kyle lol

I've been delayed for flights across all companies it happens and is quite common.
Stayed at the MCO airport hotel when my flight was cancelled. Lovely, restful place to make the best of travel woes.
Our family had to spend 10 hours at MCO because our flight got cancelled. They put us on a flight 10 hours later and had to change planes 3x, landed in Cleveland Ohio and had to rent a car to drive 4 hours home to Buffalo NY! We were up for 26 hours and lost our luggage for 2 days😂 what an adventure! We definitely know our way around MCO after that! Lol

Lol… for the record, anything under 5 hours isn’t a “Long” flight. 13 - 16 hours is a long flight!
MCI is definitely my favourite airport on earth. So cool and we stay at the Hyatt before going home every time. The runway view rooms are amazing and nice outdoor pool.
You should get a travel credit card that comes with Priority Pass, then you can visit a ton of different lounges at airports. There is a pretty nice one at MCO I go to often as I seem to get delayed there frequently.
I remember the days when if your fight is delayed you would get a discount for another fight.
They still do that discount but you have to contact them to ask.
Lets test out that theory together and fly overseas next year!

Should have went over to Airside 1 at MCO as there is a Club at MCO and it’s $40 to get in there as it’s a Priority Pass Lounge and anyone can go in there.
How you spend your money/time is your business and if you’re happy with the way you spent it, you should be! Always providing quality content for Disney fans. My family has been watching since the beginning and the critics in the comments are so harsh sometimes. Hope you have a great time in Cali!

Kyle do you feel like an Uber is a good way to go vs renting a car? We are looking into our first Disneyland trip and noticed everyone did Uber.
Even for me living in Ca, when I stay close to Disneyland I use Uber because parking at Disneyland is 35$ a day and you can’t come and go if you want to drive to the hotel to take a nap mid day or have to return to the hotel for something. Plus the hotels around Disneyland are very close and walkable unlike Disney World.

I have had the same thing happen to me with delta
I had a flight delayed 2 hours because they had to wait for a plane that had working wipers
We started watching you in early 2021. My son keeps talking about when you went on Rise of the Resistance with us in 2021.
We return to Disney on 11/9, and 11/10.

Yea, if you want to access the Admirals club for free, you have to have a business class ticket to anywhere outside the US or a transcontinental flight between NYC/MIA to LAX or SFO or have Oneworld Sapphire status and higher to have access to on another partner airline.
Also, the catering from outside the US is much better than it is stateside actually IMO. Though, I do like their short rib.
I would have paid $79 for the lounge to have a place to relax during the 3 hour delay. Worth it!

Why didn't you fly to John Wayne airport instead of LAX? It's much closer to Disneyland and less busier.
It’s also typically a more expensive flight that more than offsets the additional Uber fare from LAX.

American delayed us from Philadelphia to Punta Cana... all day long. We got to Miami that night and to Punta Cana the next day. We were in the airport at 6:30 a.m. and got to Miami at 12:30 the next morning... back at the airport at 6:00 a.m.
American Airlines - first class - DFW - left the airport at the time we were supposed to arrive at MCO. 2.5 hour delay. Replaced the plane.
That is one of several newer American 737-800's that are decked out in the previous livery - a "heritage" livery which they have also for America West, US Airways, Piedmont, PSA, AirCal, Allegheny, and TWA - all older air carriers that make up today's American Airlines.

I feel like Delta gets first dibs on being the first one on the runway and to gates. Then the rest of the airlines fall in line. It is almost like Delta has software with how consistent they are. No delays from wheels up to touchdown, gate to gate.

I use united from Tampa to LAX nonstop to visit family and united is my go to airline.
I started following July 2, 2019. Apparently July 2nd is a great day for me because I met my current boyfriend July 2, 2022!!

We did the same thing going to the wrong terminal. It made us the last ones on the flight.
I've had really good luck with American flying out of tampa. It always hits a snag when I get to dfw.

My American flights to and from Florida were the worst. Every flight delayed, gate changes at MCO 16 times before finally leaving. The only flight leaving on time was the connecting flight home and we had to RACE through the airport to have the door shut in us and that was the last flight of the night. That kind of turned me off on American.
Exact same thing happened to us too. Door slammed in our face only to see the plane sit on tarmac
The more you travel, the more you will run into delays no matter what airline you fly! Mechanical, weather, crew issues, Air Traffic Control delays, all par for the course and really just first world problems!! Welcome to adulting!
