Not a big Minecraft guy (the last time I played it Llamas weren't even in the game), but this set looks fantastic, and the Minecraft theme has been consistently really good for what it is.
The beautiful thing about it is that Minecrafts blocky nature translates perfectly into LEGO and the sets consist almost entirely of basic bricks in basic colours!
This seems like the first set over $100 that Lego has put out in a while that actually feels worth that much money.

Great review and I love your discussion at the end about how much value it provides to kids. I love to see Lego sets that aren’t just “display” pieces. This is definitely one to be used …and a fun one at that!
The overall look of this is a nice reminder of what Lego was before all of the specialized parts were introduced.
Even tho I can kinda take or leave the fact that it's a big llama (although it's a very good giant llama) it's so nice to see a huge playset with tons of usable space. A rare case of a "village" set that feels like a village, just bc it has so much that can sprawl out. Love the interior being detailed and fully featured and still being accessible and playable. What a great set, tbh. Pricy, but one of the very few sets anymore I don't look at and go "why does it cost that much?"
As someone who absolutely loves llamas in minecraft, this set is so tempting to get. Its such a good set too. If only i had the space for it ),:
I'm not all that interested in llamas in Minecraft, but I love the modules in this set, the spacious and complete-looking interior, and as always the rebuild potential of LEGO Minecraft. What I don't love, besides the prices of LEGO Minecraft sets, is the baby sheep... it's once again built inconsistently compared to the rest. The legs are built differently. First it was the white legs in the Bee Farm. It's only five pieces! Make up your mind, LEGO!
These Minecraft sets really are very pure. And this is just a really fun, really playable set that I can see being so much enjoyment for children. Its really a very very LEGO experience and one of the best sets that they have made recently.

We need more modular designs like this in other themes, it looks like so much fun even just watching you move the modules around

I myself never played minecraf but I am liking how the Lego minecraft sets are more Lego like than any of the other lines. Don't get me wrong, I like the other themes and I very much like the end result of the other sets but I totally agree with what Jang said at the end, with the pieces in this set, it is so much easier to build sooooo many other sets. Minecraft sets are basically classic sets with high part count that you can build so much stuff.
Really wish it was cheaper of course but in 2022 and with what the new prices of the City theme, this set is a bargain. Still would probably wait on a good discount (double VIP or a good GWP).

This is my very first Minecraft set, I bought it for CHF 114 - regular price CHF 159, so quite reasonable -, and I was absolutely thrilled about the amount of large pieces. The figures are a bit strange, but I like the rest very much.

This might be my first minecraft set. The price is fantastic for what you're getting, like all the bricks and tile pieces. Cost $220 here in Singapore but we usually get sets 10% off RRP if not go online to get it 20-50%(Higher % usually on days like 6.6 7.7) off. Reasonably priced, lovely llama.
This is amazing! I need to find room for this lama! I have found the mine crazy sets to be the best for building and playing in for a while now

You do bring up why I’ve always found Lego mine raft instresting, is that due to the simpler pieces, allows for more to be done.
Lots of themes like Ninjago and Star Wars, can be hard to make something good from the pieces

This set is way too basic. Just basic white bricks and that's it. Completely wasted potential and totally overpriced.
