I just listened to your beautiful testimony and I am so much like you in thought. Thank you for your testimony and I feel that there are so many Christian’s today, like myself, that cannot quote exact scripture nor many, like myself, that can’t always speak easily ie, giving prayer, but I can certainly pour out my heart to God in the privacy of my bedroom. I can tell Him all of my problems and yes, praise for all the good things He gives us throughout our lives. So, thank you so much for not only your testimony but just being human🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Amen!! God meets us where we are and encourages us in multiple ways to bridge the gap. He loves EVERYONE. He doesn't always approve of our actions but He will love us back on track if we'll let Him. Good recipes today!!! I’m from Arkansas and in one of my church cookbooks, the cornbread salad had taco meat as one of the layers😋 It is so good!!!!! Tators looked delicious as well!!

I had a similar “ summer salad”. The lady soaked the corn bread with pickle juice ( sweet or dill your taste), layered with lettuce, boiled egg, pimentos, bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, green onions, make 3 levels, top with Sour Cream sprinkled with sugar, Mayo, few green onions… spread ac
Ross top of salad. Let sit a few hours in refrigerator. Excellent. Overall these idea of this recipe is outstanding.

When I picture Jesus in my mind, His arms are wide open to receive everyone and He has a big smile on His face. As Christians we are not perfect but we aim to be like Him and I think you're setting a great approachable example ❤️

It's not who you are it's what's in your heart & actions speaks louder than words.
Suggestion: if you put a towel under your cutting board it will keep it from sliding around & possibly prevent accidents.

Also I work 12 hour shifts at the hospital, in Trauma. Came home at 9 pm and made quick beef stroganoff! Please don’t think bc I have a degree that I have it together. I DONT!! But you made a difference in my life and I’m feeding my family off a recipe I heard while driving home from work at the hosp. You matter. Your recipes matter. Love you. You MATTER!!
Wonderful, I love the recipes. You are right, Jesus showed love to everyone and taught them along the way that their sins were separating them from God and to repent and turn to Him so that they could have the blessings as God's children. Teach with love ❤️

The first time I had cornbread salad was at a potluck. The salad was mixed together and topped with in-season, fresh tomatoes, yum! No cheese or ranch, just mayo, cornbread, bell pepper, onion, corn and BACON. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. When I went back for seconds (I hadn't taken much because I didn't know what it was) the bowl was scraped clean. I was pretty sad about that, so I tracked down the lady who had brought it got the recipe. Been making it ever since. THIS IS THE TIME of year to make it, when tomatoes are good. I love your encouraging words! To realize that you never have to claim to know more about the Bible than you have had an opportunity to learn adds to your comfort when you share what you do know. What all Christians do know is that Jesus loves everyone and everyone is welcome to seek him out.

Great video Jen. I am a Lutheran and have a great deep relationship with God. I have had more then my share of bad breaks and unfair situations in this life to deal with. I have had a relationship with God since I was a child. I also don%’t go to church as much as I should. I have learned the God and Jesus are with me everyday and I talk to him several times a day. I am a huge fan of Joel Osteen and his ministry and his messages have taught me so much about the Bible and the stories that I never knew. I would never have survived my life had not been for my relationship. Gid has always brought me out if every situation in my life. Even the closed doors that I didn’t understand, looking back I realized that God had a better plan for my life. Jen you have been such a inspiration for me in expanding my cooking skills. I have several church recipe books. I love them. I am saved and on my way to heaven when He calls my name. I love the song It is well with my soul. I have thousands of favorite good ole southern gospel songs. They never get old. They get sweeter and sweeter every day. My Daddy was a preacher, so from the day I was born I was hearing them good ole songs and hearing the word of God. I got saved when I was 9 years old. Our church was having revival and I asked Jesus into my heart on that Sunday night. My daddy wasnt the one who shared the plan of salvation but he did get to baptize me and my brother and many others that got saved during that week of revival. Southern folk sure know how to cook for get togethers and especially home coming! We don't skimp we have enough food to feed the whole community! Lol Always better to have too much than not enough. I'm the same way when we have company. There will not leave hungry. That's just good southern hospitality. Ok all for that. Hope you have a great day.

I first had cornbread salad many years ago at a family reunion. So, so yummy.
Cornbread salad use to be brought to almost all summer church socials lol..have not seen it in awhile. Thanks for the reminder. I will try that sauce for my taters and the seasoning.. I am Baptist and was raised in church every service. Daddy was Baptist preacher and mom played the piano. I'm so thankful for my heritage. We raised our 3 boys in church. I think is so important in this time to take our children to church and keep them involved in church activities having good Christian friends to me is such an inspiration and support. I am a wife , mom of 3 , granny to 5 grandchildren! I have found that getting a daily devotional to read helps with scripture! I love southern church recipes! I really appreciate that you share so many wonderful recipes that are truly from scratch and yet not complicated. So many of the channels I watch use bottled, jarred, or canned ingredients that my family is mostly allergic to. Finding more quick and easy recipes that do not rely on store-bought processed foods is refreshing
I love church suppers and also to comment on the heat I live in Texas it is 12:30 and it's already almost 100° not even the hottest part of the day so I feel that southern Heat 😭😂🤘💛
