You clearly only watched him at the World Cup if you think he’s just a penalty saver he makes incredible saves every week at Villa and is one of the few keepers who can actually catch the ball at corners when he gets crowded by players rather than punch it like most.

@@jameskerr5180 that’s because they all have world class defenders in front of them look at Ramsdale’s record when he didn’t play for the team top of the league. Ederson hardly gets tested and now City are not as defensively sound they concede most games but their forwards are so good it doesn’t matter and I’ve seen Allison make some terrible choices he runs out like a headless chicken sometimes. I guarantee you put Martinez in those teams and the team will be just as good defensively if not better.

Won the accolades thanks to a stellar World Cup, yes, but he isn't in the top-5 of the world's best keepers at present.

any coach will say this about their goalkeepers, it’s just bias, let’s be real here, he isn’t the best, it’s quite clearly Courtois
