Your dedication to Marcus is exceptional, my friend. I remember similar times. We made our tricorders, communicators and phasers out of spare wood and used flashlights or old PVC pipe for light sabers. We explored the "alien planet" that was just our town dressed up with imagination. Peace and Goodwill and thank you for the wonderful composition.
Nice one to remember and honour your treasured friend's memory after all these years, a touching tribute. I lost one of my best friends when he was just 33 and I still think about him loads. I sure miss all the good laughs we used to share. My nanny's brother died as a POW after being taken prisoner in WW2 by the Japanese and he didn't even make 30 either. Marcus, Alex and Kenny (my nanny's brother) our waiting for us over the other side. Keep up the good work mate, fantastic music, you've got some real talent. :-)

Ha, thank you man. I indeed submitted this track as well as Solitary Nights to NRW, but they rejected both, this can be for many reasons. But of course Retrowave evolved like most genres do when they leave their childhood-years behind them: What begins as a playground for countless individual ideas and different perspectives, as a place for the free flow of ideas becomes then a rigid, formula-based thing... All of a sudden "being true" doesn´t mean being true to a more or less extensive or wide idea or vision, but being true to the formula, the established rules of the genre. If your tracks don´t fit in exactly, they won´t make it in terms of success. That is one of the reasons why I am really glad that music for me is just a hobby, so I don´t have to follow the rules of the market ;-)
Very nicely and truly said, I have to agree. Unfortunatelly they just started to preffer quantity instead of quality.. Simply started a big bussiness with their project. Their decision... I can't say that everything is bad but the quality is going down, slowly but surely. I'm very thankfull for your music, I appreciate your tracks way more than hundreds tracks on NRW channel without any proper idea... Just keep up your hobby mate nad keep the soul in your tracks ;)
