- OverDrive host Bryan Hayes was in attendance for Game 3 between the Maple Leafs and Bruins, and broke down if the crowd was really to blame for not being loud enough and why Toronto needs to stop with the excuses and come up with solutions to beat Boston.

I think the fans should stay home. That would send Leafs management a clear message. Harold Ballard knew Leafs fans were money win or lose. Maybe it's time to change that.

When the leafs play at home it’s like a morgue. But then again it’s not real leaf fans in attendance. It’s all suits and ties (corporate) . They don’t care about hockey 🏒 they’re at the games to conduct business.
The common denominator of Leaf playoff disappointments is the Leaf Core 4. 😀 The fans suffer playoff PTSD and are still in therapy. It is on the Leaf Core 4 to stop these playoff disappointments.

Only Leaf fans would think an actual player, let alone a future hall of famer and captain who is nothing but complimentary to the opponent in media, would say "it's over in 5" during game 3. "There's still 35" in reference to the time on the clock, is what was said. Nice reporting fellas, keep it up.
Excuses after excuses from the Leafs for the PAST 8 years? I blame coaching , management, and executives on the Leafs inconsistent play, time after time! The team has not been constructed correctly, to be a strong Stanley Cup contender. Signing 4 players to 1/2 the teams salary cap, does not leave much money to acquire quality forwards, skilled defenseman, and solid goaltending? BIG changes required in the off season! 57 years since the Leafs won Lord Stanley is f---ing long enough? LEAFS NATION and fans around the world, deserves BETTER, period!

The fans suck in Toronto but it wasn’t their fault when they gave up that 3rd goal in 18 seconds after tying it up. It’s just so Leafy. This organization deals with things that no other team does like opposing players coming home and playing their butts off because they have family and friends in the stands.

It is a playoff game. Players shouldn't need the fans to get them energized and motivated to perform at their best. Professional hockey players should be running on pure adrenaline with or without fans. Shouldn't the players be competitive enough to want to give their best regardless of the fans?
Leafs just have to score more than two goals. Make like hard on Bruins goalie.. go high on him.

At what point as a fanbase do you admit that your players just arent good enough to win in the playoffs. Its been nearly five years with this core and nothing has changed. The team has consistently shown a mental weakness and no will to win. Theyre more concerned with making money, its just the culture of the Leafs at this point. Selfish players making selfish moves.

They aren't calling that behind the play in the playoffs, especially when it was obvious to anyone with eyes Bertuzzi dove. Two blatant missed high sticking calls and soooo many more on both sides. No one got special treatment.
The Leafs have Bertuzzi, Domi and Reaves and have the AUDACITY to be butthurt about Marchand.
Score on the powerplay, don't take stupid penalties when you have one, and stop making excuses.

Can you imagine Boston playing without Marchand or Pastranak? Oh that’s what the leafs are doing by without nylander… no PP success because of it, line depth isn’t there… totally viable to make ‘excuses’ especially after the horrible officiating which gifted Boston game 3
leafs can't score more than 2 goals against the bruins 7th and 8th dmen - Leafs still had 5 pps with their 45m pp
The Leafs let the Bruins run out almost a FULL MINUTE with the delayed penalty so the Bruins would have a longer powerplay. Right after tying the game at 2, SECONDS LATER, they leave Marchand uncovered in scoring position, RIGHT AFTER THEIR GOALIE JUST LOST HIS STICK. They got 5 powerplays and did nothing with them.
Oh yeah, the refs really handed the Bruins that game....
plain and simple- the leafs top players don`t earn their salaries in the playoffs, take a look at Vegas and see how they built that team. Leafs need to trade some of these high paid primadonas.
