Pinion gearbox motor - stop sleeping on it
liked the kona bikes😍
Dare I say it...but it 'feels' like we are almost back to normal? How does it feel on the ground?...
Is the buzz back? Awesome coverage so far...keep on truckin Doddy!
Links to videos you mention are never in the description... 😢
Hope dropper post lever floored me! Guna git it!
I imagine Doddy could load up a tour bus full of people and just follow him around while he geeks everyone out. The whole crowd would just clap and in unison say WOW as he explains everything.
Did someone do this, the "geeks everyone out" with the road-bikes on eurobike 2023?
Bibendum! As a kid in the 70’s we had a plastic toy walking Bibendum, attached to a weight hung over a table and he would walk, like a little lemming….towards the edge
Love Dodster! His enthusiasm is infectious
Interesting trivia: the term "Bib Shorts" that we wear as cyclists, comes from the Michelin Man "Bibendum" or Bib for short, because the tight lycra makes the riders fat bulge out and look just like the mascot! Fun!
Haha, nice story but untrue :) Bib shorts are called so because they strap around the top of your shoulder like a.....bib! If anything, they reduce the bulge and help give a more slimming profile, as non-bibbed cycling shorts with an elasticated waist really do make the stomach bulge
@GMBN..... Where the heck is the new XTR, it's long over due?
Calvin appears at 2:45
Amazing 😻 the park tool brush. The Shimano downhill bike. That silver concept bike and the Shimano shoes. This needed to be a 2hour show. Brilliant
And the digital torque wrench ❤
Give Bibendim a high five for me, even though I’m a Conti guy.
The multiple seat stay bridges to tune the amount of flex is brilliant! I want so badly to combine all the best ideas from leading edge frame developers under one roof, one brand, one frame. Do away with sizes all together and make each frames geo according to the customers physical measurements, with carbon tubing (like Atherton Bikes) and joints that are CNC'd in two pieces then bonded together (like Pole). An in house strut running from the rear triangle into the top tube supplying a larger positive chamber, larger negative chamber, more room for lubrication and an incredibly wide range of tunability as far as support in the pedaling/pumping platform and bottom out resist (like Digit). Flip chips in the rear thru axle and super wide zs56/zs56 head tube with multiple chain stay/rear center length positions to choose from, and multiple reach/front center length positions allowing for loads of wheelbase options, not to mention angle sets for multiple head tube angle positions. (Like Geometron) Provide several different volume spacers for the suspension strut to have a wide range of rear travel options. Include an interchangeable spherical eyelet where the rear triangle meets the strut that allows for mixed wheel sizes without messing with frame geo. (Like the one Cascade Components makes) And now finally provide 3 different seat stay bridges to tune the amount of flex . . .Doddy you got friends in high places in the cycling industry . . . . Wanna launch a kick starter company that makes ONE product? The Alpha&Omega Über Frame? Perhaps your connections to big players with keen foresight and deep pockets/unique resources could invest in our brand? . . . OKAY YES THERE CAN BE AN OPTION FOR GUIDED INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING AND EXTERIOR ROUTING! Now are you in?!?!
Love to see the Czech brand Rock Machine being featured! I ride their full suspension blizzard third year now and I really like it.
In Norway it was sold as Diamant Black Diamond(not the German brand owned by Trek, but the Norwegian brand) , but saddle had Rock machine branding at Gsport (went bankrupt, now Intersport) but Birk Sport sells Rock Machine, a short while they sold the hardtails under their own brand Birk, but also sold Superior Bikes as Birk. Both had custom branding paint jobs. But i see they no longer do that, but sell it as Rock Machine and Superior. I don't know if this was done elsewhere.
@@mtbboy1993 i guess they are more popular than I knew! 😂 But still, It’s a pretty small czech brand compared to other bike brands
Doddy! You're top guy! 🙌
I’ve always loved white Fox lowers and was sad to see that go away. But, like everything it comes back around again. Looks even better now with black stanchions as opposed to silver/Kashima.
It won't be cheap but custom paint job is an option.
I think Doddy likes that new Park brush because it matches his hair...LOL
Great job doddy. You clearly love your bikes and like the way you quickly identify the key element of all the new stuff
Great to see a SID in sparkly blue again. I had the SID race titanium back in the day. Sparkly blue, even the crown and the gold TiN stanchions, that was a good looking fork.
Wow, thanks for the detailed tour and sharing all this knowledge!
What an experience thanks for your review. The mini workstand was my favourite
Doddy is like neo of the bike world his knowledge on bikes is top notch 👌
6:43 where's the link to the video about the hub? It's not in the description or pinned comment...
Thanks for the tour guide, amazing explanation!!
That Pryme bike and i9s is dope
2:45 I've never been so excited to see a celebrity sneak into a shot
Great.. Thank you for sharing
Doddy is great.
Another great video thanks dude 👍 🤘
As always, super entertaining and you sniffed out all the cool stuff!
Looking at the treads, not much has changed since Spesh Ground Control in the 90’s.
Awesome recap. Great eye to details doddy!
Amazing video, thanks
Goodness Doddy... you crushed this video! Well done presenting this and thank you for your craft. Wonderful, lustful, bike video!
14:35 That brings back memories. I used to have a white raceface stem on my spesh stumpjumper hardtail. Them were the days 😀
loved to have been able to be there, some amazing looking bikes & tech, i was impressed with the road bikes shown on gcn, like the look blade road bike..omg, this year all disciplines are pulling out all the stops as every bike & bit if tech just look amazing & there is more to come... awesome.
Hope make some exquisite products. You can feel the quality through the screen.
Nice to see some Kona love from Doddy 🤙
That torque wrench is the best bit of kit i've seen in a long time! and he Rock machine Proto...
The Michelin man is Bibendum 👌👌👌
The new frame bag kit ,an shoes that have the boa adjust,it’s giving us so many choices ,time to build a flat bar gravel monster ready for foul weather having some upgraded left overs prices on frames to build are great 👍
Doddys the man, brilliant videos
Great video, Doddy!
Good to see you still buzzing about the gear after so long in the industry.
MEGA!!!
nice one dodi,
Doddy should work as a "seen on TV" product salesman.
2:45 like how Doddy dodge Calvin not even looking at the Legend😅
Still have my white GT Lts 2000 complete with white coil Z1 Maz Bombers. Still looks sick.
Topeak hitting the spot again; so simple but effective.
yeh agreed Topeak are very cool company
Super duper Doddy
Give me that Rock Machine prototype and take my kidney!
I used to live by Michelin's home base in Clermont-Ferrand. So of course I know about Bipendum or Bip for short
Bib, short for Bibendum. Worked with Michelin in Greenville and learned the history of Michelin.
Eveybody who read Asterix as a kid knows Bibendum
Extra points if you know what Bibendum means.
Michelin mascot´s name is Bibendum 😆
The Michelin man’s name in Bibendum I’m pretty sure 😂
Who else wants to hang out with doddy for a beer and just geek about bike components?
16:12 maybe it's to prevent seat pad to protect side of the leg from the pivot pulley, chain.
I've always heard the Michelin man called Bib.
That's right
If the controller is bumped and the chain not ran forward to shift the AXS will try to shift and drain the battery…..happens to me because my bikes get moved around by my 15 year old son. Just check for the green light before a ride. Also remember to carry an extra battery for the controller.
Odd how companies design the most direct engagement systems for hubs then add the Ochain device to add slip so suspension works better. Is this counterproductive?
yeeehhhh Doddys back
Bibendum ??
Bibendum, the name of the michelin's man. Known fact in France
Watches vid. Immediately trys to purchase hope dropper leaver
“Bit of a whistle stop” 😂😂 BRUUUUUHHHH SOOO BRITISH
i think I might have seen you at the national cycling show at the nec
Any more electronic gear hubs suitable for e-bikes, and compatible with Gates Carbon belt?
Michellin man is Blake!
Awesome video.
I don't get people that still dislike internal cable routing, I get that it might not have been perfect when introduced. But now with decent bikes the frame has channels through it that allows you to just push the cable in and it comes out where it is supposed to. Now you do not have deal with having to put 10 different zip ties on your frame and have your cables rubbing and taking off the paint. There is now way that there is a significant time saving when changing housing out, which lets be honest for the average rider may happen every few years.
Gerade erstanden: Gebrauchtes BMC Speedfox 02 two 2018, top Zustand, alles original, 1750 € (NP 5200)
why are the bolts facing up on the commencal seatstay bridge, just put them on the underside so you wont get crap stuck in the bolt holes when youre not running the bridge in
"I don't know how topeak keep coming out with new stuff". It's because they watch berm peak lol
MEGA!!!!
pinon has a gearbox integrated with a motor. you covering this soon?
Mr Bib!
Hey where's that link to the exploded hydra hub video?
2:45 I think I recognize that mustache...
25:41 that chain tension looks painful
I can't find that Topeak Torque wrench. Anyone have a link? Thanks!
The Michelin Man is named Bibendum
Roger from Doug still making content
Hello everyone which of these forks are the best the Marzocchi 350 or Suntour Auron 34? Let me know your thoughts
Bike: has internal/external cable routing.
Doddy: "I think that's great!"
So true.

Odi grips are made by a motocross champion

marzocchi having a coil enduro fork but not a downhill coil fork is mindbogglingly stupid
