I’m so glad I came across your channel not only are your videos interesting but they are informative and positive just want to say thank you for making CZcams videos
Just finished chopping "Oak" 2hr work out no wood bullett! Turn 60 this month its a great work out! What a great video Buckin chopping in the forest love it!
This brings back a lot of memories, back in the days my Dad, my brother and l split all our wood like this, we didn't have a wood splitter. Some where so big we had to use wedges, if it was hard wood , sometimes the wedges would fly back out at us! My Dad and brother have past, I thank you my brother for this video, it brought back some very good memories, love your videos!!
My all time favorite workout brother. Nothin relieves stress and anxiety better than swinging an axe. Especially one that’s a pleasure to use. Have a great weekend Buckin! Love ya brother!
Man ain't that the truth! Been busting up maple for a few days solid now and I got a lot of pretty dang scary things goin on at this time in life but when I'm getting it done at the wood pile everything stressful seems to be greatly reileived. So good for the body mentally and physically
@@dannymcelyea2596 Amen to that bud. I have three little ones running around at home. The oldest one is three, the middle one is a year and a half and the youngest is eight months old. We have a fourth one coming this August. Needless to say our hands are full, so it is nice to go out to the wood pile after I get all them down to bed, or during naptime, and swing the axe for a little bit!
Finally a man that gets a mans hair cut. Look young men this man knows the proper style to have. Take notes and screen shots. 😁. Love ya buddy. Great job and have a great weekend. ❤️🌲❤️🌲❤️🌲
I just found out you had something to do with Axemen. Wished I seen you sooner but I'm glad I met you and the Army a few months back. Love you all. Thanks again Buckin
G'day TA, in my humble opinion I believe all is well and he's simply trying to demonstrate that the axe prototype profile that he's developing is a superior splitter than the vintage dual purpose Tassie pattern axe .
Billy thank you so much 56 years old I’ve been in a dark place for a long time bought a collins commander double bit refinished it bucked a giant red oak that fell on my tree line the commander and me are now in a better place thank you for the inspiration !!!!!!
"Tiger Woods of the woodpile" teasing us with the Wood Bullet again! 😆 The content is good. I'm convalescing from eye surgery but still have one good eye to watch with!
@Buck’n, a fellow tree arborist died today in LA. Details fuzzy but the news mentioned he was found suspended hanging from the tree he was working on. Stay safe fellow loggers, tell people where you are just in case.
Nice Weather, today. , so I decided to make some Firewood. Considering taking the husky 61 , but instead took splitting hammer, and a nice axe that I restored, and went of to action. but now I see that I made a 3rd of that what Buckin did in far less time with ease . So blamed my low performance on me, my axe, and the wood :). , seriously I think I need to satisfy my tool addiction and get me a woodbullet :). , thanks for inspiring , thanks for sharing, thanks for being positiv,
I would hate to admit what I have spent on axes over the yrs and still find myself wanting anytime I find a style I haven't experienced. Maybe its an edged tool disease as I find knives just as interesting. Really looking forward to the day I find a Wood Bullet in my hands bustin wood and enjoying life. God bless all of ya
Splitting wood right there where you felled the tree is the best way to save a lot of work. It's the way I do it. I tried to tell that to the Wranglestar guy and he didn't reply to my comment yet he replied to all other comments under that video. He loaded the round wood onto a trailer and brought it back to his back yard, unloaded it, and stacked it. He then brought his wood splitter out, split the wood and stacked it again. Then he trailered it or carried it into his shed and stacked it yet again! Way too much work. Way too much handling. When you split it on site you trailer it home and put it away. That's it. Thanks for another great video. Oh, and nice axe!
There really is something special about swinging an axe. You find your happy place and the world just melts away. Hope to end up with a buckin special wood bullet some day!
very nice picture billy .i loved the woosh of the wind coming through the trees in between that lovly chap with the axe.banging away .awesome peace an love from scotland stu an family
Beautiful gym you have there Buckin. Thank you for sharing the WOODBULLET Journey with all of us. The Ole Macs standin proud around the stump. Lovin it. Love ya brother 🌲❤️🌲👊🪓
I only discovered your site very recently. Studied forestry back in the 80's in Thunder Bay, ONT., and do some wood work back home, (Hellas, Greece for outlanders ). I recently read this on a motorcycle site: The idea is to die young as LATE as possible, and friend what drew me to subscribe is that you seem that kind a guy! Grateful for the good time I spend watching you. If ever you consider visiting this part of the world, you 're more than welcome. Cheers, Phaedon
Yeah Buckin, spring is here. Time for the splitting to begin. Never get tired of seeing the different types of wood, or axes of your trade. Let the season begin my friend.💯❤️👍🏾😀🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
What a spectacular show of axemanship. Not only the skill it takes to split the wood, but having the right tool for the job. Very nice buckin. You look great!!!!
You know when you're working hard when your home made finger wrap falls off. Nice ax swinging, beautiful setting. Hearing the sound of wood chunks flying, stacking and crashing makes me feel at home. 🌲🌲🌲🥦🌲🌲🌿
I am at peace with world but I am at war with the Bullet. Nothing seems to slow the Wood Bullet down....not the knot nor the stump! Beautiful day in the woods Buckin!
as much as I appreciate you splitting that second growth fir in the forest....how does that profile work on knotty fir or nasty hardwood? Love the channel brother!
Sumetimes I feel stupid for watching a guy splitting firewood and that for years now. But I cant help it, I love Buckin! Hes one of the last guys out there that lifes in the moment.
Nothing beats a good axe when you have wood to break down can’t wait to get my shoulders fixed so I can get back at it I’m down to the hydraulic method now and it’s so much slower and boring to me
My son and I are just getting into splitting wood with an axe after using a wood splitter for many years. We enjoy the time together splitting and are learning more and more from watching your videos. We now need a better axe. I cannot find a wood bullet anywhere so I'm thinking they aren't for sale. What would be an axe you would recommend we purchase? We are looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks friend!
I think one of these wood bullets might be the last axe I need in my stable..besides a hatchet...I've got an axe that limbs nice and a nice 3 1/2lb chopper that does a nice job splitting with a little persuasion..and I just roughly restored an old splitting maul head 8lbs that I need to haft up soon
I like wood splitting as well. I do it not everyday and I don’t need that much wood by myself BUT I do it for people (even unknown) who are not able doing it by themselves anymore. Not because I’m after the reward -I’m an Egoist; but I do it because I love doing it - and if helps others as well, even better. 😜. No seriously, I like working with wood in all phases and dimension and I love people (most of them). I think doing something physical with you hands makes you a better human and fights the mental destruction of only doing virtual things in life. Feeling your muscles after splitting a pile of wood in the evening makes me feel alive!
Billy, my saw spec. Sheet says 7/16 pitch. Is that the same as 404? If yes would you leave it 404 or change it over to 3/8? I'm only going to use it for felling, and buckin bigger stuff. Got a mid size husky for the rest. It's a McCulloch super 44. 80cc saw.
Hi Billy 72 yr old living off grid in north Arizona thanks for thr filing videos on chain saw i finally got rid of my guide and followed your advice on angles saw cut great and now i just gotta get rid of the Gut thanks a lot how do i contact you about a splitting Axe Thanks
Even at 53 years young Ya put some of these youngsters to shame there Billy bumper😀 … I was out doing some firewood myself today , like to stay a few years ahead - better to have and not need than need and not have! Took a built saw to local STIHL dealer up the road, he ran in some hickory and said - build me one of these - looks like a new customer on me paper-route …. Beerwhoop 😉
