Henery's team their hands were down in front of the goal line making the line of scrimmage technically a foot away from the goal line, (Blue line) and doesn't the ol saying goes "Football is a game of inches? • @schuylersavage276
      @schuylersavage276 Před rokem

      I think you are right and aren’t speaking hyperbole. As fast as many backs have been, I think his on field production with long plays and quickness, the eye test, and finally his fastest 40 ever tracked by a RB I believe prove it as much as it can be proved.
      I think it is fair to say that some backs who don’t have the fastest 40 appear to have wild game breaking in game speed, but Chris is not that. He has the testing speed and the actual in game speed to back up the results of the test. I think the 40 is great, but also somewhat flawed in predicting on field in game speed or breakaway ability. Tho perhaps a better way to say is it that there are some outliers who have been able to constantly pull away from defenders despite solid but not amazing 40 speed. I think it has something to do with how good some guys are at changing speeds and stamina. When you run a 40, there is no endurance test really. It’s not testing to see how many gears of speed you have, or to see if you are able to expend a bunch of energy going 70 percent top speed to make cuts through the line, juke someone, stiff arm someone else, and THEN still have enough left in you to kick on your top speed.

    • @schuylersavage276
      @schuylersavage276 Před rokem

      Barkley running a 4.41 comes to mind. That’s SO fast, rifgt? BUT it isn’t anywhere close to the fastest we’ve ever seen. Yet on the field? Man…that dudes speed on top of all of his strength and agility? I mean there is a reason he is already up there all time in total 50 yard plays from scrimmage. His rookie year he joined Barry and I think possible AP as the only players with 8 plays of at least 50 yards( 6 runs, 2 catches, 6 TDs). Like that’s insane. We’ve seen many great backs not have more than that in a career I believe.
