- Young birds moved from the weaning cage to the kit box. flight training in progress. hopefully in a couple weeks I can get some flying and kitting going on.

Nice kit box brother 🤙👌. Keep working them man ahh wish I could be flying my rollers. Too bad I live in Minnesota and yes we have snow again 😂😅. Has been super cold this year and I already lost five round of set of eggs.

Cut their feed back bro. Fly them after a week of a couple teaspoons of fed a day per bird. Fly them before you feed that day so they are hungry while flying. Gets them in better shape, fat birds don’t fly, and they will roll better when hungry.

@@SmokesLoft I struggled a lot with mine forever until I called the guy I got them from and said they sucked. He told me I was feeding almost double what I should. I cut them back on feed and boom…. Rolling like crazy

How many birds do you keep in that box , are they full grown, how long have you been doing this?
Each kit box I keep only 15-20 birds. The ones I see performing, outstanding and the right type are moved into my stock loft. I've been doing this for 3 years since I got back into the hobby. I don't keep a lot of birds but this year I'm going to stock more birds. 🙂
how do you train them? I have a bunch of pigeons but cannot get them to fly. I let them out and they just chill on top of the lofts
Depends on the type of pigeon you have. Some will just fly house to house. Some will just chill. Older birds tend to just chill. What you can try is take a flag and spook them to see if they can fly. 🙂
Hi, how many time they are flying?
If they are young I try to fly them every day until they show the progress of kitting. Then every three days. Some do it every other day. I haven't been flying my birds due to the hawks and been busy with work. But hopefully that helps. ,🙂👍

I like my birds to fly 20-30 mins and sometimes for up to an hour only. But these are my preferences to fit my schedule. 🙂
