    You should consider Head Studs on one of your next upgrades. Running over 40 lbs of boost it's a good idea.

    • @AmericanThunder
      @AmericanThunder Před 5 lety +1

      Yes. I'm running 32 psi, and one day, coolant started coming out of the overflow.. After diagnosing, I began to pull off the head and noticed the middle head bolt between 1 and 2 cylinder was ripped in half. Just the bolt head was laying there. lol Stock head bolts are a no no unless boost is stock. ARP head studs all the way.

    • @Beardgame
      @Beardgame Před 5 lety

      The factory head bolts are stronger then most people think. At only 400hp a retorque is sufficient.

    • @AmericanThunder
      @AmericanThunder Před 5 lety +1

      @@Beardgame the retorque wasn't sufficient 350 horsepower and 32 psi ripped the center head bolt in half

    • @Beardgame
      @Beardgame Před 5 lety

      @@AmericanThunder you must be the exception. Usually it will stretch them and the vompression will blow out the gasket, if it broke there are other issues.

    • @AmericanThunder
      @AmericanThunder Před 5 lety +1

      @@Beardgame I'm sure you get some discrepancies in metal quality of Fasteners anyway but to be on the safe side anything over 20 psi I would suggest ARP studs. It's just a hell of a lot easier to put studs in it than it is to pull the head off after a stock bolt fails.

    Why are you getting rid of the THD pin? You have a lot of injector for that turbo, are you hoping it will clean up more with the M&H? Keep up the great work, love your vids

    I went with the 3200 gov spring because my truck is rather stock so I figured 3800 would be too much.

      1stGenClub I’ve got one on my 93 4x4. I love it!!!! Takes a little fab work to install and the only drawback is you loose 1-2 mpg with that turbo vs stock

    • @1stgenclub619
      @1stgenclub619 Před 5 lety

      Jason Truman oh ok i wAs thinking about swaping a he351 but i might go with hx40 or what this guy has

    • @jasontruman1215
      @jasontruman1215 Před 5 lety +1

      1stGenClub hx40 is old school, there is much better options now. The hx40 is a laggy pig!!!!! If your on a budget go he351 but if you can afford it go with a small borg Warner like he has.
