It's such a shame that all these beautiful things can't be preserved and/or restored. They should be in a museum so that everyone can see such wonderful old things.
Andy you remind me of myself ( been told I have quite a dirty mind and talk with my face) my best friend reminds me of Matt, we would banter back and forth feeding off each other's words. Now she has passed so watching you two really makes me smile and most times laughing till tears run down my face. Very nice, you really don't know how you make my day . Thank you..🤣❤
Matt reminds me of my husband, he needs to see and/or read everything. While on vacation and stop to see an attraction, my husband has to read EVERYTHING, while I am happy to look around and read little. :)
Oh my days that was hilarious I've never seen two grown men so jumpy over rats before the noises you were making had me in stitches, all the stuff in there was really good especially the clothes rack we had one in our kitchen when I was a kid so that brought back some fond memories, thanks guys you're the best

@@MeRia035Rats are ok, they'll only go for you if they feel threatened otherwise they're pretty tame, one of our neighbours kids had them and used to breed them, he also kept and bred ferrets

I feel like I should take a shower. 😳 You were the most interesting thing those rats had seen in ages....pure entertainment. Think how boring and mundane their lives must be normally....they just wanted to be friends and see what you were doin'!!! 🐭🐀 They're very intelligent!
This was fabulous, I loved every minute. Bizarrely I saw an explorer visit this place the other day, he was in & out of the place in speed, didn't open drawers, look at photos, absolutely nothing, that's why you're the best explorers there are, you search for the property's history. How I wish I could have looked through that pile of black edged cards, I guess the majority were those lost in war 😞 Thanks for the laughs again 🐀🐀😂
I saw that video too, compared to this one it was so bad, and the story he told of the couple that lived there felt so pretentious. I'm glad Matt and Andy have done this place, they make it so much more interesting and funny 😁

Sometimes when they are alone they don't spend a lot of time in.places.
I'd have liked to go through those and flip through the Golden annual for girls 1925 as well, they looked very 'modern' on their bicycles.
I love when you find all those little personal bits and Bobbs! So many things collected in love! Such a shame so,e one can’t rescue all these wonderful collectibles!

Yes your right it looks like an arm in the mirror it’s white and it’s in the right hand side and it moves as Andy enters the room. Well spotted I have heard and seen quite a lot of paranormal stuff in there videos 👍👏🙌

Oh my gosh, I love this one of course. but, after watching it I have taken 16 showers and set 47 rat traps (and I don’t even have rats). My heart goes out to Andy, I am right there with you on the fear of rats. Please be safe guys.

That was a fascinating and funny video. I love that you show the photos and postcards and let us read them. All those memories that the family accumulated over the decades now lost. Those photos tell us they were there, they laughed, they cried, they lived life. Those rats were really upset that you'd disturbed their tranquil life. Still makes a change from pigeony b*****ds.

You opened up a manicure set for ladies finger nails and the ear scoop was actually a cuticle remover! Keep up the great work guys!

Oh Matt & Andy! This is the first time I’ve seen one of your videos and I must say you two should start a comedy tour!! Lol. Matt when you started laughing I got so tickled that I was laughing right with you & also had tears I my eyes! What a house filled with so many amazing things. I went here many months ago and it’s clear that since then, lots of stuff has been rifled through and the house is more messed up. That’s what’s wrong with the hobby now, some people aren’t there just to look!!

Did you know the margins on books were created because rats cause so much damage and with margins you won’t lose any information?
Such a major shame it’s all left to rot away it’s got such a lot of artifacts that need putting in a museum? The stamps on the letters I would love them!! I love reading old letters etc even if they weren’t mine! They should be put in a museum totally!!!! It drives me crazy watching these I love them but want to save so much out of them, frame them anything other than English History rotting away so sad!!!!! Andy saw a rat i thought they were all in parliament 😂 yes the duck's hung on Hilda and Stans wall in the living room in corrie . You pair are nuts and full of fun, I'm loving the sound effects of you thinking its another rat. Enjoyed the craic and banter and a great explore. The scoop as you called it matt was for pushing back the skin on your fingers to get the cuticle showing..not for scooping out ear wax 😂👂 I can feel Andy's fear of the rat's, I'd be the same 🐀 XX 💙💙 Rat's lock their teeth and cling on so Andy has a point there..if you corner them they will attack. 😬
I noticed on the White Star Line letter is was addressed to Alice and family and in the marriage photo of Eliza to Cornelius it said Eliza was the daughter of William and Alice Howard! The letter was addressed to an address in Rochester NY. Also if you look back through your footage you'll see there's little numbers in the top left corner letting you know which order to read the letter. It look me about 15 mins to read and figure that out. That house was amazing with all the beautiful antique furniture and belongings, so many memories just left for the rats to eat and tear up, such a shame!

The ear scoop (so cute, I laughed out loud) is a manicure set. The part in question is a cuticle pusher. Sometimes made of wood too.
It also works good for an ear scoop. 😊

This is what urban exploration is about you two are at the top and the mix of humour and seriousness just makes it so entertaining to watch can I ask that when you take things out to look at do you put it back as it was I have been watching others and they take things out they say we will put it back but then on another channel you can see that the previous people either didn't or did but someone else has taken it out and never put it back what got me is they took a photo sleeve out of the box looked at photos and just put the lot back in the box completely mixing it up

OMG I’ve never laughed so much. I’m with Andy over the rats that were gaining in size every time you spoke about them. They really have no fear, but it was so funny and a bit of a pay back when the rat making a noise behind Matt made him jump.

There were so many amazing things to look at throughout that house. The books were so old but yet in pretty good condition. The pictures are truly very interesting to see, too!! I never laughed so hard! You two made my day! The bantering, the do this and you can’t say that! Lol. The items in the trunk were amazing! The little embroidered Always Merry was from WW1. My grandad sent several home while in France. Too bad the attack rats were hungry, I would of loved to see the treasures in that room.

I think them tokens were for the bus, the pensioners was given a bag full every couple of months that they gave to the bus driver for payment. My kids great nan used to get them.

Believe it or not but the Original Camera was called the Camera Obscura. The olderst Record was way back in 319BC by a Chinese Philosopher. The oldest known use was by an Arab Physicist in the 11th Centuary. With the Camera Obscura the only way to retain the image was to trace it by hand onto what ever it was showing on. The first Photographic Camera was in 1777 though the images didn't last long because there was no fixing agent used. The first 'Kodak' Camera came out on sale in 1888 called 'The Box Camera''. In my opinion the Camera Obscure was actually the first Projector. Hope this was helpful.

Can't understand Andys girlish fear of rats. Just carry a golf club or hook up a big cattle prod onto a walking stick. Unless you see 10 or more coming for you you'll be ok. Maybe push the guy next to you wearing shorts to the front.😂

Loppy in Australian - a person employed to do maintenance tasks on a sheep or cattle station. (So I can see you having it mean Dirty etc.)

Loved the explore Gentlemen, as usual. However, please take rats seriously. You don't have to be bitten to be infected. Their piss carries nasty stuff and you don't wear gloves or masks. Not an urban legend, I assure you, a farmer I know died of handing ropes and getting blisters. He was treated for pneumonia until the tests came back and it was too late. Look after yourselves. x
We use lop /loppy in Northumberland to mean the same thing which probably comes from our Viking heritage as the Danish word for flea which is 'loppe'
