You may well be some of the last people to see those historical gems. Incredibly sad to see them end up part of the rubble. Many of those items should really be in a museum, they are very very old and of public interest. The little domino piece was the star of the show! Well done Beepers!
Ok Matt and Andy, I found some info for you on the pen tips, George Hughes first set up his business in 1860 at 56 St Paul's Square and later moved to Legge Lane. His old factory lay disused for many years but has recently been turned into the Million Pen Building - named after one of his pen nib trade marks. Also, I caught a couple of very significant orbs, one at about 1:06 to the left of Andy’s head and another one at 1:59 that goes in front of Andy’s face. This was an awesome explore and with your permission I would like to share it in my paranormal group on Facebook. Much love and respect from Oregon.
I heard voices whispering very quietly after that really loud bang, this place gave me the chills so spooky.You would not catch me in this abandoned house way too scary, & that photo you showed at top of stairs gave me the heeby jeebys. 46:17 sounded like feet shuffling behind Matt....what a creepy sound!!...and that blast of cold air Matt got earlier is usually seen or felt before something paranormal happens...😳🥺at 51:59 sounded like someone moving around in the room with you two...😳😳 We all have senses that tell us things, like the feeling of being watched, or the feeling you're not alone or a feeling in the atmosphere of doom, or sadness or evil or an oppressive feeling...Whether you believe or not one thing remains FACT...Just because you don't believe, does not mean it doesn't exist or is not possible.....My dad used to say that. ---->> THUMBS UP GUYS!!!...Ummm...while you guys were talking about selling merch...and orb came from the roof of your vehicle and went towards Andy's head.....at 1:07:30
That was The BEST explore EVER!! It had a lil bit of everything; history of family/home, scare factor, artifacts, unique architecture, illegal evidence & more! I know you don't go for "hauntings" but you both handled it well! Happy Mother's Day to All!! 💐
I love how Urban explore videos seem to pick more ghost encounters than Ghost hunting teams do. It makes you wonder how this method would look if ghost hunting team acted like faux-Urban explorers then review what they caught.
Even though I have many favorites when it comes to abandoned houses I think Victorian are my Ultimate favorite! I love. The detail of woodwork, wallpaper flooring fixtures staircases etc. especially the kind with the witches hat that era has always intrigued me
This place reminds me of my great aunts house. She lived in an old Victorian 3 story house in Southport. Many of the things in here she had like the indoor clothes line and the artecture. She was born n died well into her 80s in her home. Thank you for taking me back to my childhood. X
Loved the video. So interesting. BTW the oven in the cellar is a tudor type bread oven, had them in stuart era also. Has the beehive brickwork inside. The inglenook idea with the stonework round the outside frame. Not roman I'm afraid. Was put down into the cellar as this was their kitchen area. This idea of separating cooking area came from tudor times as Henry 8th hated cooking smells and didn't want to smell them while in his living areas. Just looked it up, they found roman base pillars used to support a large kiln where the oven is situated. However don't think this is original roman kiln. Plus, it is said to have at least a male and female spirit there, poltergeist and sometimes cigarette smoke is smelt. Its a listed building. The last owners, a elderly couple, were moved out due to the property being in bad condition and could not afford to update it. All the antiques were removed in 2015 and sold at auction. I don't know if they are still alive or have any kids.
Fascinating house, amazing architecture. The bags you found in the antic were beautiful. So many unanswered questions about this house and so many evidence of different periods in time. The framed drawing of the children, found in the attack was really ghostly. All really spooky. What happened to the squatting gardener? Did they die in the house? Is that why it stank of death? Creepy! Amazing architecture and original features in the house. Maybe that’s why it’s uninhabited and abandoned? Too haunted to stay in!
That was NOT plaster that fell!! Or the fireplace cover! What an awesome video!! The whispers throughout, I heard rustling, banging or doors, and whatever that big bang (right after Matt could see his breath!) was, it wasn't plaster, because the floor and ceiling looked exactly the same before and after. So much going on that these NON ghost-hunters caught more than people who actively search!! Love these guys missed them last week glad they are back! ❤️❤️

@@jojocanon2803 when the toilet door slams etc an matt runs out, you can hear what seems like little feet shuffling instantly (as if it's a young child playing) to do with the whispers I hooked my phone up to a soundbar with amplification an you can hear a woman faintly whispering something about 'stay' an she says some other things but that's the only word that stood out for me.
It really is too bad that so much history is lost this way. It would be nice to be able to find a descendent or be able to do something to save it. So very cool the stuff you've shown us!!

Just Watching the intro ….I’m only one minute in and there’s already tons of orbs zooming around. I have to say this is probably my second favorite explore of yours. This house was chock-full of amazing things. It would’ve killed me not to be able to go up to that third floor.

The sad thing about places like this, id that the place will be destroyed and everything inside will be put in a skip and just dumped or re-cycled, or just burned. This was some ones special home once and even being born there. There must not have been any family members left to pass it on to the next generation. As Matt said, it is such a shame, and he is quite right. Lovely video guys of years and always glad you both get out safe and sound. Respect.
That was an amazing place. Loved all the photos etc, and the brickwork in the cellar. But did you know you had a dried up old spider stuck to your hand when you said goodbye at the end? 🕷That was the scariest part 😳

This was fascinating thank you both! And in the bathroom as you say you can see your breath watch the shadow show itself on the door frame near the toilet! Someone stood in puffy sleeves and trim (Tudor wear) with their thin arm down by their side! And all the whispers too! Sounded female. Brilliant!

Thankyou matt and andy for another amazing explore. I could tell right away something was off with both of you/video, as your both usually joking and chatting. This time you both was clearly nervous cautious etc. That big bang was strange, as if something had been physically thrown not just dropped, when the 'bathroom' door gets slammed, an you look round the corner instantly after, sounds like you can hear shuffling footsteps maybe of a small kid, and i also heard a faint woman's voice whispering something like 'stay'... couldn't make out the rest of the words. Maybe consider selling finders beepers boxers as merch because with these scary videos a few people will need them i reckon. Loved meeting you 2 legends last night, it was a true pleasure. Does this place have a particular name Lisa? Would make amazing reading to find out if anything horrible or sad occurred there, as that would explain the dark heavy atmosphere an ghostly goings on. The photo they found above door frame of the ghost on the landing was spooky 👻
@@lisagathercole7822 much understanded and respected. As that is one of my personal peeves, people that willingly vandalise places or worse. Places should be kept intact as best as possible so that their stories and history can live on for many years to come. Only thing I wished was there was some sort of museum, so if andy/matt found something truly amazing, a historical museum can step it and take the unique items so they're never lost due to time or thieves. It's especially sad when you see its a man's war uniform/photos etc things like that should be saved and preserved so that those peoples stories don't just get forgotten.

The german looked like someone's grammar homework. The line you were trying to read said 'nichts wird für sie organisiert' meaning 'nothing will be organised for you'. 'Nacht' is night so v close!! Hello, nice to meet you both, It's my first time here, I'm not even half way through and I'm really loving seeing this amazing building, So many beautiful original places and gorgeous little bits and bobs, Such beautiful historic pieces. I love the fact you both love and appreciate the history and beauty as much as I do. I watch quite a few abandoned channels and honestly all the years I've been on CZcams your the 3rd channel that have a true love of all things original and beautiful. The stones/ brickwork with every place they come from is an amazing piece of history, I'd honestly be in there for a few weeks, I know that if I was to be fortunate enough to find a gem 💎 like this, I wouldn't be able to drag myself away to many treasures to see. To much history not to see. I really wish that someone from authority could come and save almost everything in the building otherwise its absolutely heartbreaking 💔 & it should NOT be allowed to happen. Just sayin 🤷 I like the building & history lol 🤣. Thank you so much for showing us everything that we would never have seen if it wasn't for both of you. I know that your channel is not primarily a ghost hunter type show but I must admit it really adds to it. I love being spooked out even thousands of miles away. Maybe once a month you could add a segment to your channel that focuses on " Haunted Houses". Just my 2 cents

Nah, their scary videos are so good because they are organic, they stumble into places occasionally that are undeniably haunted, that's what makes them so believable compared to others! Love these the best tho!

I think i have watched all of your videos pretty much now and I have come back to this one as it stood out! Great explore! The bag with the rock sample I believe says : Victorian (North facing) sandstone block. I’m also wondering if the owner was studying architecture since two of the papers he had written were discussing that in 1850 tax on bricks was removed as well as different types of brick architecture. He also references Putlog holes which were used in medieval scaffolding. Sounds like they were really into history, too bad his stuff and the place is falling apart😔
Amazing place. Very unusual staircase where you found the strange photo. When Matt was going to the basement the second time stopping to look at the pipe and domino … when Matt said he felt like someone was behind him I got goosebumps. Some very interesting artefacts in the house. Thanks fellows for taking us there.

What a treasure trove of antiques and history! That couple looked like the couple from the movie "Babe"! It's always so sad to see people's history, with pictures and their life's work just left behind and strewn about. Wonder if they had children? So many memorable artifacts of families in this house and its a shame that none of this has been saved. Ive looked on maps at the address of the postcard you found in attic, 15 pybus st Derby, its a row of terrace houses. Is there a way of contacting the owners of pybus st and maybe do a records check to find living relatives. Its a real shame. I love watching your videos guys ❤

Hi guys I'm new to your channel so I'm binging. And this place is just amazing, and I'm shocked 5hat with the history it has going back to the Romans, that it's not being looked after. And those beautiful little painted pictures in the cellar should be saved it's criminal. But I know there are many places like this all over UK, letvalone Europe. And I would be like you looking at the photos etc I'd be there all day. But on the ghosty side I took heard that funny noise that sounded like a bird fluttering by, could that of been a spirit of a much loved dog? Also at 44,29 just after the load noise, that was heard whilst you were in the bathroom, you can hear whispering sonds like 2 people, could of been one of you tow , but I don't think so it was to faint. Loving this channel, I love the paranormal, and I love history, and old architecture. Thanks guys ❤

I know it commented already but defo heard around 44:42 when the door gose turn it up and you can hear woman’s voice whispering! i dont believe in ghosts but that was pretty convincing!
That was an amzing find. Does make me laugh that Andy doesn't really believe in anything supernatural but he got scared in there. But please tell me at 44.21 when there was that bang, listen with headphones and I'm really sure I could hear a woman mumbling. Let me know if you can hear it.
When the bang happened, toilet door other people think, I think it sounds more like something was thrown as it bounces off a wall first and then onto the floor, I listened to it again using a soundbar with amplification...an as soon as matt leaves the toilet you can hear what sounds like a young child shuffling there feet in a playfull way, but also then there is a faint woman's voice who clearly says 'stay'......an a few other things, yet stay was the only word I could clearly make out
I really enjoyed this one. I have seen other urbex explore this place but you did a much better job of showing all the amazing things that the place still has.
Another good one guy's didn't care much for that basement either but that sure was a lot of family pictures in there.Time seems to slip by didn't realize how long I've been watching y'all.Great to get to see these old places before they're no longer accessible.👍🇺🇸

Poor Andy still doesn't look like himself he's flushed looking, those stones have taken a lot out of him literally. Great explore boy's and after the bangs you wouldn't have seen me for dust, I'm not very brave when it comes to the bit 😂 there would definitely be something in my pants if i was there for sure 😂 xxx 💩💙💙 He was called KING BILLY 👑 and every 12th of July in the marching season with band's etc, he is on a horse with all his attire on and long curly wig with the band's Lodge members behind the various band's.

This was fascinating thank you both! And in the bathroom as you say you can see your breath watch the shadow show itself on the door frame near the toilet! Someone stood in puffy sleeves and trim (Tudor wear) with their thin arm down by their side! And all the whispers too! Sounded female. Brilliant!
So many orbs down the cellar with you when you first arrived and whispering for sure after the loud bang, super spooky and the shuffling noise up there as well. Great explore you beautiful pair x
Thankyou matt and andy for another amazing explore. I could tell right away something was off with both of you/video, as your both usually joking and chatting. This time you both was clearly nervous cautious etc. That big bang was strange, as if something had been physically thrown not just dropped, when the 'bathroom' door gets slammed, an you look round the corner instantly after, sounds like you can hear shuffling footsteps maybe of a small kid, and i also heard a faint woman's voice whispering something like 'stay'... couldn't make out the rest of the words. Maybe consider selling finders beepers boxers as merch because with these scary videos a few people will need them i reckon. Loved meeting you 2 legends last night, it was a true pleasure. Keep up doing the amazing wonderful work you both do, an let's get this channel growing in size 😁😄 ❤ from sheffield as always.

Does this place have a particular name Lisa? Would make amazing reading to find out if anything horrible or sad occurred there, as that would explain the dark heavy atmosphere an ghostly goings on. The photo they found above door frame of the ghost on the landing was spooky 👻

@@lisagathercole7822 much understanded and respected. As that is one of my personal peeves, people that willingly vandalise places or worse. Places should be kept intact as best as possible so that their stories and history can live on for many years to come. Only thing I wished was there was some sort of museum, so if andy/matt found something truly amazing, a historical museum can step it and take the unique items so they're never lost due to time or thieves. It's especially sad when you see its a man's war uniform/photos etc things like that should be saved and preserved so that those peoples stories don't just get forgotten.

Hello, nice to meet you both, It's my first time here, I'm not even half way through and I'm really loving seeing this amazing building, So many beautiful original places and gorgeous little bits and bobs, Such beautiful historic pieces. I love the fact you both love and appreciate the history and beauty as much as I do. I watch quite a few abandoned channels and honestly all the years I've been on CZcams your the 3rd channel that have a true love of all things original and beautiful. The stones/ brickwork with every place they come from is an amazing piece of history, I'd honestly be in there for a few weeks, I know that if I was to be fortunate enough to find a gem 💎 like this, I wouldn't be able to drag myself away to many treasures to see. To much history not to see. I really wish that someone from authority could come and save almost everything in the building otherwise its absolutely heartbreaking 💔 & it should NOT be allowed to happen. Just sayin 🤷 I like the building & history lol 🤣.

I know that your channel is not primarily a ghost hunter type show but I must admit it really adds to it. I love being spooked out even thousands of miles away. Maybe once a month you could add a segment to your channel that focuses on " Haunted Houses". Just my 2 cents

Nah, their scary videos are so good because they are organic, they stumble into places occasionally that are undeniably haunted, that's what makes them so believable compared to others! Love these the best tho!

I’m also wondering if the owner was studying architecture since two of the papers he had written were discussing that in 1850 tax on bricks was removed as well as different types of brick architecture. He also references Putlog holes which were used in medieval scaffolding.
Sounds like they were really into history, too bad his stuff and the place is falling apart😔
There was a massive mudflood event. Every place in the world has mudfloody structures. Which means the buildings we see go way deeper than we believe
Amazing place. Very unusual staircase where you found the strange photo. When Matt was going to the basement the second time stopping to look at the pipe and domino … when Matt said he felt like someone was behind him I got goosebumps. Some very interesting artefacts in the house. Thanks fellows for taking us there.

So many memorable artifacts of families in this house and its a shame that none of this has been saved. Ive looked on maps at the address of the postcard you found in attic, 15 pybus st Derby, its a row of terrace houses. Is there a way of contacting the owners of pybus st and maybe do a records check to find living relatives. Its a real shame. I love watching your videos guys ❤

Hi guys I'm new to your channel so I'm binging. And this place is just amazing, and I'm shocked 5hat with the history it has going back to the Romans, that it's not being looked after. And those beautiful little painted pictures in the cellar should be saved it's criminal. But I know there are many places like this all over UK, letvalone Europe. And I would be like you looking at the photos etc I'd be there all day. But on the ghosty side I took heard that funny noise that sounded like a bird fluttering by, could that of been a spirit of a much loved dog? Also at 44,29 just after the load noise, that was heard whilst you were in the bathroom, you can hear whispering sonds like 2 people, could of been one of you tow , but I don't think so it was to faint. Loving this channel, I love the paranormal, and I love history, and old architecture. Thanks guys ❤

That was an amzing find. Does make me laugh that Andy doesn't really believe in anything supernatural but he got scared in there. But please tell me at 44.21 when there was that bang, listen with headphones and I'm really sure I could hear a woman mumbling. Let me know if you can hear it.
When the bang happened, toilet door other people think, I think it sounds more like something was thrown as it bounces off a wall first and then onto the floor, I listened to it again using a soundbar with amplification...an as soon as matt leaves the toilet you can hear what sounds like a young child shuffling there feet in a playfull way, but also then there is a faint woman's voice who clearly says 'stay'......an a few other things, yet stay was the only word I could clearly make out
