After a confrontation following the Conti Cup final, Emma Hayes claimed Jonas Eidevall showed "male aggression" with the Arsenal manager forced to defend himself.
The pair clashed at the end of the Gunners' 1-0 win over Chelsea at Molineux - retaining their competition title in the process - with Hayes pushing Eidevall during a heated exchange of words.
There also looked to be an incident between Erin Cuthbert and Eidevall on the touchline towards the end of extra-time, with the then-Chelsea captain appearing angered by the Gunners boss.
The Arsenal manager later explained how a disagreement over using a multi-ball or single-ball system had been the root cause, but Hayes was angry with his actions towards her player.

Male aggression? As a man I find this very offensive
Agreed and as a man that say what she did tho she should be called out and given the same media outrage that the media would give the men for
Yea disgrace against our male rights
Won’t be renewing my Sky subscription unless they call out this sexism.
Had the role been reversed, the male counterpart would have been banned from football forever.
it was FEMALE AGGRESSION !
Male aggression? You make me laugh. If the roles were switched it would have caused a scene
If the roles where switched he may have lost his job
Gender discrimination seems to be okay if you're an angry woman. She did wrong & was trying to deflect responsibility by saying something knowingly inflammatory. A suspension might get her to reflect
@@Martin-rh7mfagreed! Won't happen though, Hayes is a bully and a bad loser. Go to America already Emma, and stay there until you've calmed down.
@@Purpleakiindahouse May 🤣🤣
I don't follow soccer in England, but apparently from other folks comments who do, this Jonas guy has a pattern of aggressive behavior on the sideline and received a yellow card for this particular incident. Emma shouldn't push him, but WOSO also shouldn't accept a pattern of behavior from coaches. Both are in the wrong - Jonas is more so in the wrong if it is indeed a pattern. Period.
Did she not push him??? Hypocrite
No he reached out to embrace her and she pushed him off.
@Pumpkin-vg1ur
So she pushed him. 😂
@@RoadsideGee Yes she pushed him when he went to embrace her. His hand lifted towards her first and she did not want to embrace him because he had been so aggressive earlier. I would push him if he tried to hug me too.
@@Pumpkin-vg1urso it was female aggression?
@@RoyJoyce873 I don't think males have sole rights to aggressive behaviour especially when it comes to defending one's self. When females retaliate, some males like to use this to prove that they are not alone in being aggressive. Male aggression is about using physicality to make a point which is what he did and resulted in a yellow card.
If you ask me Emma Hayes has got an attitude problem, she’s a sore loser, and not very gracious in defeat.
She isn’t a sore loser cause she doesn’t lose she’s not city 😂😂😂

@@Pumpkin-vg1ur he wanted a multiball system whilst Emma the playing victim wanted a single ball and so their match was decided to play with a single ball.
Fast forward to her team trailing a goal, she wanted a quicker throw in that is why He Jonas intervened and reminded her of what they agreed upon the game.
Violence against men is unacceptable. As the victim of an abusive woman, to hear this woman blame men for her violent actions is upsetting. She needs to be reported for violent assault. The sheer arrogance makes it even worse. Shameful behaviour.
So Emma hayes pushed eidevall and she is mentioning male aggression? Women like to use gaslighting well this is a perfect example. If Eidevall pushed hayes then he would be in jail right now!
Totally agree and the media don’t say anything about it about women doing those things but reverse the roles they be talking about for weeks

@@liamjohnson7887ANDDDDDDDD.....lol.... It was passive aggressive. He'd been verbally and physically aggressive when making his point about the ball change, fronting up to one of the players inappropriately. Weird that he thought Emma would want to accept his embrace after his poor behaviour. Yes he had a point but it was the way he expressed it that was the problem. She is very protective of her players and he received a yellow card for his behaviour. Combine losing in a game Chelsea dominated and his yellow card behaviour and you can understand why she was not in a mood to be touched by him.
Emma Hayes should be sacked. That Ruis Rubiales was sacked for giving a World Cup winner a kiss, this woman assaulted a guy, but nothing will happen. Disgrace.
Bingo!
Assault? She barely touched him. She just gently pushed him away when he went for a hug. Nothing wrong with that. Weve seen much worse
"Assaulted" okay and I guess we're handing out mid-game sackings for players pushing each other too? Or if it's only for managers then Wenger on Mourinho, Ronaldo on Guardiola, they should have been sacked too?
Pushing someone and forcibly kissing someone are veeerrry different things
She is leaving anyway. America welcomes her.
Agreed!! 100% she pushed him and is a sore losing liar.
She literally shoved him because he addresses the Chelsea teammate in black that threw the ball to Cuthbert as well as the sideline officials, and somehow it’s “male aggression” lol
He got booked for whatever he did or said. So it's not just Hayes perceiving him as aggressive. - Doesn't make her push after the final whistle any better though.
He never even spoke to Cuthbert, at one point while he was talking to the referee's assistant Cuthbert wandered into the area. Everything she said was a complete fabrication.
@smallGatsby No, it's Emma Hayes and every other Chelsea fan too immature to accept the loss. Referees booked him because he challenged their decision to allow Chelsea to start using multiballs on throw-ins when they were chasing an equalizer, after Hayes specifically demanded single ball only before the match. Jonas didn't do one thing wrong, and there's video evidence exonerated him (which Sky of course chose not to include). So maybe stop taking a liar at her word.
I can’t stand Emma Hayes
Me neither. Not since the arrogant way she dismissed the Wimbledon job.
@@liamjohnson7887 Yes saying they couldn't afford her.

@stolentardis2111 it used to be but then women wanted to be part of the man's game ie presenters, commentators etc . If they were refused its deemed as sexist. Didn't she push him?
She pushed him after getting mouthy and he’s the one showing male aggression?
What about the female aggression? Oh nothing said about that.
Pathetic behaviour by Hayes if that was the other way around.. and that's why she's doing it.. she knows she gets away with it.. yet still claims the victim..
Imagine the fall-out if he had pushed her and spoke about 'female hormones', I'd wager he wouldn't last the week in his job and it would be all over the media, the news, equated with domestic violence and questions asked in parliament.
You push someone and accuse them of male aggression 😂😂😂
They want to be treated as equals but cant handle some shouting? get over it 😂😂😂😂
She's lost the plot
...or ate it.
She assaulted him after he saw one of his players rushed to hospital? She should be banned for a year.
Don't forget to mention that Eidevall was actually booked for squaring up to one of her players, namely Erin Cuthbert.
I don't think that Hayes should have pushed him after initially accepting his handshake but he hasn't been very peaceful either
@@smallGatsbymaybe don't cheat and you wont be held accountable, crying about being called out for cheating ffs 😂😂😂
@@smallGatsby did you even watch the incident? Jonas was standing still complaining about the extra ball used, it was Cuthbert who went to the technical area to square up 🤣
Male aggression ?
"sexism is why I lost" is just the greatest cop out every invented by feminists, Emma sounds rather insufferable and getting booked on the touchline can just show emotion, something she as a professional robot seems to miss, also, didn't she push someone and she did not get booked? smells like overt female privilege to me.
There's a shock.. a woman allergic to accountability & playing the victim.
So her player was the one that stormed up to Eidevall and got in his face while he just stands there, then she pushes him after the game and accuses him of "male aggression" (which we all know has connotations and hidden meanings). The hypocrisy and unprofessional nature of Hayes is ridiculous. I hope she gets fined or in trouble for this. Extremely irresponsible behavior and comments.
Oh brother 🙄
If Sky are not going to call out Miss Hayes sexist remarks, I will not be renewing my contract with them.
I’ve cancelled mine last year.
Sky & BBC are scared shitless of the left woke brigade and will not call out a woman behaving badly. No chance. Had this been role reversal Jonas would have already been cancelled, sacked and hounded out of the country.
SLY Sports
Cringe
Yawn
The only aggression I saw was female aggression after the game when she shoved him in the stomach. That sort of behaviour is not ok just because you are a woman. Imagine if he did that to her, there would be hell to pay. He was correct in his call about the use of a different ball. Arsenal wanted to use multiple balls but Chelsea refused, so you can't change your mind in the middle of a game. What was his "male aggression?" He said something to Cuthbert and she reacted. What was said? Was it aggressive? He said he reminded her of the one ball agreement. Her reaction seemed more like "female aggression." (joking). Seriously if he badmouthed Cuthbert that's not on, but definitely what Hayes did was aggression and that is not something you hide behind being a woman.
Imagine if she did that to another woman! The reporters' heads would be spinning as they try to deflect from the female perpetrator while still acknowledging there was a female victim. "Quick, find the nearest man to blame!"
I didn't have a horse in this race, but I have tonnes of respect for both Eidavall and Hayes as coaches. I think they are two of the best. But that said, I think Hayes's comments after the match regarding 'male agression' were in very poor taste. As others have said here, it came across as sour grapes. She's obviously been a great winner but a truly shitty loser. Congrats to the Gunner, and I sincerely hope Frida Maanum will be ok. She's been a remarkable example of the current crop of young footballers who are not only highly skilled, but also possess the kind of vision you used to see only in players with far more pitch time behind them. Beautiful game, indeed. Cheers!
I worked in the women's game coaching from 2007 - 2020 and without hesitation will tell you given the level of financial support these teams get you could coach them and achieve the same results. If you want to see a really good coach look at Melanie Copeland of Sunderland and the adversity and victimization that club has overcome whilst she has been the manager.
After the league loss to Chelsea, I was questioning Eidevall's ability to take Arsenal to the next level. Now I realise what he's up against in woman's football where expressing the competitive edge that a manager needs to have if they want to win can be construed as male aggression....
"Male aggression" 😭😭😭 men can't be men anymore 😭😭😭
Imagine, if you will, that the Arsenal manager had talked about ' female emotion ' or if it had been him who had shoved Emma Hayes...the mob would be out in force demanding that he be sacked. Double standards in how this has been reported and it needs to be pointed out. She should apologise for going down the somewhat predictable rabbit hole of ' toxic masculinity '...but she wont...mainly because society has decided that women can never be wrong and men are inherently problematic.
The definition of gaslighting
UNBELIEVABLE...lolJonas wanted to play this game with the "multi-ball" system where another ball is thrown into play to maintain continuity however Emma did NOT and wanted a "single ball" game and yet, near the end with Chelsea losing 1/0, she NOW wants a second ball to get on with the game so Jomas says something and Cuthbert goes to him and they argue.
THEN at the end, SHE aggressively points her finger at him and pushes him in the chest and THEN complains about "Male Aggression".
CLEARLY, Emma is a Founder Member of The "Good Winners Club" and a sour loser.
1:59 bloody hell like she’s playing the victim didn’t she technically sort off assaulted him tho both went shake hands but she goes into little barge at him with her left hand touch his side belly reverse the roles if a man did that he be in jail now and lose his job yet crickets no talk of conversation about her behaviour
Emma Hayes is right…there is a way to behave on the touch line. Now all she has to do is admit that she was in the wrong by pushing the opposition coach. Her attitude makes her perfect for the US job, she will fit right in!
What does "Male Aggression" has to do with wanting multiple balls in the final? 😂😂
😅😂😂😂😅
Hayes meant the moment where Eidevall squared up to Cuthbert for which he was booked. So it's not only Hayes who spotted aggression from him.
BUT I don't think Hayes first accepting a handshake and then suddenly pushing him is acceptable either.

The game is going to great lengths to represent women & drive equality, yet Emma Hayes has undermined all that with such a divisive comment.
Why does she have to say “male aggression”? I’m assuming “female aggression” is fine then based on her choice of words? I think this is very offensive to men in general. What a toxic person.

Absolutely pathetic by Hayes.
If the FA wants to maintain equal standards for all, Hayes should get either a hefty fine or even a multi-match ban based on precedents. Gender quality means being judged in the same way, regardless of gender. The authorities cannot and must not tolerate that kind of gaslighting.
Its bad enough that she pushed him, then she claimed it was male aggression. If there was no video recording of it, media and the rest will side with her.

Sour grapes from someone who is the most aggressive and ungracious manager in women's football.... Don't throw in the male card when you lose.
Male aggression, and she's the only one going hands on. She needs to explain what she means by male aggression as well.
I just saw there is no penalty for her pushing him ...how many male managers have been punished ?? favoritism for british managers ...
That’s it always blame the men and their “aggression”.
If the arsenal manager would of pushed Emma Hayes there would have been an uproar and a call for him to be fined and banned from football, Emma Hayes is just being a sore loser....
There was an entire media cycle a few years ago when Hayes was doing really well where everyone was saying "well why shouldn't she try coaching in the mens game and be the first to break that barrier?"..... Can you imagine her standing on the touchline next to Klopp when he's snarling like a werewolf? 😭 She'd try to have him sectioned 😭

But in all seriousness her behavior need to be called out you can't shove a man then say it was "male aggression" when being aggressive toward a man as a woman smh
Aggression, she literally shoved him. How on earth can you play victim when there is video evidence of what happened. Women have been so empowered in sport they are starting to think they can do anything and get away with it.
He went to shake her hand and she acted aggressively, typical woman with power in this day and age she lost so now she is going to get him sacked and cancelled
Shes trying to deflect the attention on the arsenal manager. She knows shes done wrong by pushing him but can't except it.
And she thinks no one will notice her hypocrisy, it appears. What a brilliant mind she has.
Emma hayes has been lucky as the chelsea manager whereby having the money to bring in some very top and talented players over many years since she has been the chelsea manager.

SHE IS THE AGGRESSOR, SHE PUSHED HIM!! I am so sick of this naive narrative of "male agression" when she was in fact the aggressor, how about the mainstream media call it for what it is...female agression! She obviously has a aggressive attitude when losing it makes you wonder what she is like behind closed doors
If you watch the game, you know what happened, because i watch it live, and i saw when it happened
Chelsea caught cheating swapping the ball and got called out for it. The Chelsea player approached the Arsenal manager , its all in the recording. Chelsea manager is lying , he did not square up to anyone.
As a Chelsea fan I'm extremely disappointed in Hayes🤦♀️
Male aggression??? He literally did nothing wrong but show emotion.
However she was the one that pushed another manager...
If a male pushed a female it would be deemed as wrong and disgusting and people would be asking for him to be sacked but if a woman does it its totally fine... the double standards in football is absolutely disgusting 🤦♀️
He’d have been sacked had he pushed her.
She wrong for saying she dont stand for male aggression, she basically implying if it was a women you wouldn't care, she should have just said I don't stand for aggressive behavior on the touch line
Would it not just be aggression? Why was it male aggression. Just take the loss.
In this age of wokeness, every possible opportunity to bash men has to be used. Including times when the aggro comes from the woman.

My friend tried to get a ticket for ArsenalMen's team and was told no chance but for £134 he could have EIGHT tickets for the Womens game for FOUR people meaning £4 a ticket which is why you, occasionally, see a large crowd but the media stay quiet about that.
