One of the things I like the most about Shinkenger lore is the inclusion of the need of Sanzu River water for the survival of the monsters, and that the strongest ones need greater and greater amounts of water. This makes so that the bigger baddies that would have solved the problem day 1 wouldn't be able to come out without the help of the small ones, that slowly but surely rose the level of the river. I feel like that's a flaw in most action shows, when the monsters refuse to act smart just because. Shinkenger actually bothered giving the bad guys a handicap. The big pun of episode 5 is that "Kabuto" is the reading for both 'rhino beetle', and 'helmet' About the fight coreography and flashyness; this show is from '09. They had just changed to HD cameras. in '12 they up their coreography a lot, and by '16 they up they cinematography by a lot (angles, trolleys, drones and go-pro shots, plus single take scenes) About episode 6; Kotoha's actress, Suzuka Morita became one of TOEIs little sweethearts. She was called for a bunch of projects later on
Fun fact Kotaha actor was the youngest of the sentai at seventeen and the only minor of the samurais Kinda had a crush on her since she was the same age as me😅
