You’re so thoughtful to bring up the trauma unpacked for others while being so grateful for your experience. Shows your emotional intelligence ♥️ so happy for you!
Hearing you start a video months ago saying “I am a pregnant woman” then here saying “a mother” 🥹🤍 Biggest congratulations to you and your wee family!
Fabulous story well done congratulations ❤
In tears hearing you relay your story with such love and energy Jamie. You are a complete hero 🥹. Romy will one day watch this and be so proud of her mama and feel so loved. It was a total privilege being there for you as you navigated your story 🧡 Emiliana xx
🥹🥹🥹 So grateful to have had you there!! Thank you thank you xxx
when you said you and your book club were crying i was like “thank god” bc i was crying this whole video. i have been watching you since i was 15 and im 23. it’s crazy to watch your life grow with jack, the dogs, and now you have a daughter. literal tears congrats jamie and jack ❤️
Yesssss same!!!! Omg I remember learning and becoming comfortable with makeup FROM/WITH Jamie 😫😭🫶🏼 I’m now 28!
I’m 5 weeks postpartum from my second baby. I’ve had 2 traumatic births and I don’t realise how much it has affected me until I think back to it or listen to others positive birth stories. I hold no bitterness to those who had great experiences, more grief for the experience I didn’t get. However, I have 2 healthy children come from my experience, even if bad experience - and for that I am grateful as I am still very fortunate compared to some others. I’m so glad you had a great experience, Romy is a beautiful name 😊❤
Lots of love to you Leonnie. I feel the same. It brings up huge grief but I’m also happy for others having a good experience. And having a healthy child is everything. I wish you and your kids every happiness and all the good things ♥️
I have three children and my first birth was perfect. The second came with some problems but my third...it was traumatic to the point I ended up in the ICU fighting for my own life within 3 hours of giving birth. Now I have been told I cannot have any more children and while I'm so grateful for my children the fact my last birth was so horrific has definitely left me with an odd sense of sadness.
Agreed its hard to get your head around
I’m on the same boat. I had a traumatic birth with my boy just last year and I still struggle with talking/thinking about my birth. I feel like I was robbed of that beautiful moment of my son being placed on my chest and skin to skin etc. the first person who fed my son was a midwife with a bottle because I was too unwell to be able to. At the end of the day me and my baby made it out alive and well and I guess that’s the main thing but it’s still hard. So yeah I feel you hon 💔 You’re not alone in your feelings 💕
Old labor nurse here! What happened to you those first few days is called “prodromal labor”…it’s your body’s way of trying to figure out the proper timing to get the baby out! I just want to say, I’m so proud of and so happy for you and this new journey you’ve started. It truly is one of the most magical things in life. All the blessings to you, Romy and Jack!
I’m sure I speak for so many of your viewers that have been here for years but it is such an amazing, emotional moment hearing you talk about this. So so happy for you all and sending you all so much love ❤️
you're the only youtuber whos birth story ive watched from start to finish. ive been a follower for over a decade now. this video made me smile ear to ear. i cant wait to watch Romy grow. she is an angel
Omg!! Your back!! Congratulations to you and Jack, on the birth of your precious lil, Romy!!! 💞💞
WELCOME BABY ROMY ❤🥹 You’re so loved by your internet family! We can’t wait to see you grow and meet you!
I’m so happy that you’ve ‘normalised’ an epidural during labour. So many times I’ve been told I took the easy way out as I had to have a c-section with both of my children. Keep doing what you’re doing! You’re an inspiration to many. Congratulations and best wishes to you and your new wee family x ✨
C- sections aren’t easy your cutting into 7/8 layers of muscle and other things, it’s not easy. You went through a lot
I never understand the C section being referred to as the easy way out. A section is a major operation. It's really hard recovering from that and worrying about your baby and you can't drive or lift your baby naturally. To me it's harder
@@Chloe299XxX damn right it is. My friend had twins and I could see the pain she was in. I had my son naturally because I couldn’t lose my independence I was out walking 2 days later like a old lady. I can’t imagine what a c section is like. It was like terrible period cramps I was dying. I fucking applaud woman who had c sections
@@brittbecka8552 I've had 2 C sections. My first C section was emergency and because I went half way through labour my recovery was hard. I had to take morphine. My 2nd c section was planned and my recovery was allot better. I'm currently pregnant with my 3rd child and I'm going to have a planned c section. It isn't easy especially with breast feeding, holding your baby, have to hold a pillow when your laugh or sneeze and having other kids to look after. But in my experience having as much help as you can makes a huge difference in your recovery🤎
I started an infection the day after i came home from a c-section. Had a fever of 103 and was throwing up all cut open like that. Worst pain i have EVER felt. I feel you, mama- c-sections are rough. ❤❤❤
I am a midwife and this was such a beautiful birth story 😭 Love you since so many years! 🥹Congratulations ❤️
My first pregnancy & birth was traumatic 🥺 I was 19 & thinking back makes me want to cry when I hear others having amazing pregnancy/birth stories. Congratulations to you & Jack!! Romy is perfect 🤍

I don’t know if it’s because I’m a mom or because I love you so much but as soon as you started talking about the first push I ALSO started crying lol. It really is so amazing! I have also have 2 songs that are so special to that whole experience and I dearly love them but it’s so emotional I can barely listen to them without losing it. LOL!! Congrats mommy and daddy and pups! I’m so so happy for you all! Welcome to the world Romy darling!
Me too lovely! I was so emotional watching! ❤

Never clicked so fast!! So happy for you and your family. Romy is beautiful, motherhood looks so good on you ❤️
Are there any videos with baby???
Thank you for sharing. I have had anxiety since finding out I was pregnant about giving birth and this was so refreshing to hear. Finally someone who has a positive outlook and doesn’t tell you all their horror stories that make you feel even worse. Ps.. can we have a look at your playlist?
Loved every bit of this. Watched you for years, watched you while pregnant with my little Violet, and to see you as a mama now. I am soooooo exited! Can’t wait for mama videos.
i definitely did not expect to cry watching this🥹but watching your videos for years and seeing your little family grow is so beautiful im soooooo happy for you 🤍🤍
Aw Jamie, love this. It’s so lovely to hear your story. Nothing in this world compares to carrying and having your baby the emotions and the depth of feeling all of it and I’m so happy you had a positive experience. Plus you look incredible too. Xxxx
We are all crying, loving, laughing and celebrating with you! Thank you for sharing your beautiful experience. It really was so touching to hear. Much love from USA ❤️
Honestly Jamie, this video just shows what a kind heart you have. Even through the most joyous experience in your life you are thinking of those who didn’t get to experience the same. My little girl will be 1 next month, I had such a traumatic experience which has totally convinced me not to do it again and I am currently receiving EMDR therapy to help me process everything. But even the acknowledgment that you are thinking of people who didn’t have the best of times really warms my heart. Your wee baby girl is amazing! And I also want to say that the Midwives (most of them) at the Princess Royal are absolutely amazing 🫶🏻🫶🏻
All these years I’ve followed you girl I’m just so proud to see you become a momma ❤❤❤❤ your going to do so amazing 🎉
This was lovely, I’m so happy for you and Jack. Your story brought me right back to my son’s birth 19 years ago, he’s still growing taller every day, sometimes I forget those first moments with him in the world. ❤
So much love to you and your growing family! It's crazy to think how long I've been watching your videos and how far you and Jack have come. I'm so glad to hear your amazing birth story! My baby boy just turned 4 months -- the time really flies by! Cherish each moment with lil Romy (as I'm sure you are) ❤❤

I had all of my labor in my back so I know exactly what you went through. I went into active labor on a Thursday and had my son on Saturday late afternoon. Congratulations she is absolutely beautiful
not pregnant and not planning on pregnancy for a good while but I couldn’t help but shed tears when you spoke about your first push. Such a beautiful human being and the most perfect family. Wishing you all the love and happiness in your new bubble 🤍
Hi Jamie ,Thankyou for sharing your experience thought this time . Congratulations on the birth of your gorgeous daughter. ❤ so happy for you both , and excited to see you back xx
Your whole experience was so like mine it really takes me back! The epidural really is magical and made my experience so chilled and positive. Also had smooth radio on, and even a year down listening to certain songs brings back so many emotions 🥹💓 enjoy every minute with your girly. The “baby bubble” is just the best xx
Crying 😭😭 followed you for ages and saw your video announcing your pregnancy just before I found out I was pregnant currently 35 weeks and been following you along so excited and happy for you!

Stopppp itttt, this made me so emotional! I feel so proud of you! You, Jack, Romy, and the dogs are the perfect little family💕💕 xx
What a beautiful birth story. It makes me so happy. I had my little boy in December and it was traumatic in many ways. As someone who researched everything extensively, and being a nurse myself, it really did not turn out well. Listening to your story is wonderful and I am so glad you have experienced such a beautiful thing. Your happiness just exudes. Love, from one mama to another ❤️
Congratulations! Glad you made the video to always come back and watch in the future and share with your daughter someday in the future the story is so special and the beginning to a wonderful life journey as a family 💜😘
Loved this so much! Congrats again beautiful!!!
Watching this was a little bittersweet for me having quite a traumatic birth recently and the first thing about birth I’ve indulged in since, but honestly it was so beautiful to hear of a positive and joyful birth and to see you beaming with pride and joy watching it! Congratulations xx
Same ❤
So many similarities to my labour. Back to back is no joke. I love those supportive midwives, that help you pass through it and reassure you. I'm glad you and Romy had a peaceful transition into the world, for Jack to be by your side too 😭😭😭🥰💕
It’s the best feeling in the world - the love you feel for your baby is amazing.♥️👩🍼👨🏻🍼👶🏻. Congrats and enjoy every second!
How incredibly precious!!!! You have had the very best attitude throughout your pregnancy and now the birth of sweet baby girl!!! I’m so so happy for you and Jack and Romy ❤❤❤❤
I've been waiting on this ❤ massive congratulations to you and Jack on the birth of gorgeous wee baby Romy ❤️ I'm so chuffed and proud of you for being so honest about your birth experience. Wait until Romy starts to develop, talk, walk go to school, dance, sing you will be an emotional wreck but in a good way. All I feel is full of pride and you will too. 17 years have gone by so quickly enjoy every minute. She's not only your daughter anymore she will be your Best Friend. 💕
Jamie,
I've been watching you for quite a long time now, listening to how you became a mama and how you brought your baby girl into the world, I kept catching myself smiling and tearing up the whole time! I've been really excited for you from the time I found out you were pregnant, it warms my heart so much for you because having my baby girl made me feel exactly how you've been describing. There is absolutely nothing on this planet that compares to the gifts of motherhood, and I am genuinely so so happy for you and Jack, I know you guys are amazing parents and are going to give that little girl the best life! Congratulations Jamie, my heart is so full of joy for you, you deserve this so much!!
Love always,
💜💜💜Kati 💜💜💜
This has to be the best description of gas and air ever. Love it. It’s exactly what it does. Such a great birth story. Brings me back my labours so much.
love hearing your story as someone who wants this so much and makes it less scary ! Congratulations, all the best for your little family :)
Congratulations ❤ I was waiting for this video for, well since your last one. I'm excited for you, Jack, and Bb Roame. Much blessings to you and your family. Wishing you all the best, and can't wait to see wee bb.
So happy for you guys! I was teary eyed on the train listening to this I wish you guys the best ❤
I was thinking about you the other day, I just finally finished my MAC × Jamie Genevieve lipstick! I remember ordering it on my honeymoon in Jamaica. I'm actually sorta bummed it's gone. Anyways, I was thinking I bet she's having her baby soon.. congratulations Jamie! I have been following you for years and you're just so humble and seem so genuinely kind, you deserve all the success in the world!! ❤
Loved hearing your birth story, it’s crazy how much detail you remember but not the actual pain, just that it was painful. I’ve had 2 kids and it was the same for me. I can recall the days so clearly even now and my eldest is 7
Congratulations to you and Jack on your little bundle ❤
Just amazing! I'm so happy you had a good experience. Lots of love xx
My husband walked in on me crying, listening to this. He was so confused. As a mom of 2 it's hard not to get emotional hearing about birth. It's so personal and unique for each woman. Wonderful work Jamie. Congratulations
Oh congratulations great video can’t wait to see Romy ❤❤❤❤
Lovedddd this so much! Congratulations ♥️♥️
Brought back all the feels for me and yes, so magical. So beautiful! I had back labour for a few days too and no sleep and the only thing that kept me sane was pacing and doing laps around my living room lol!! Definitely write down your birth story in a journal while it is fresh in your mind and then you can add to the journal monthly updates etc. ❤️
I soooooooo loved your story. I was glued to the video listening . So happy for you. I was smiling the whole time
