I'm dying at Link's "the place i'm thinking of isnt on this map" 💀
It wasent
What was sent
Give this man the Mars map!
When he said that, all I was thinking was they forgot New Zealand, again!
in his defense, Hawaii wasn't on the map
links intuition is so strong and is right 90% of the time, he just never listens to it. I’ve noticed this in the last few episodes and it’s so funny yet sad, listen to your heart man 😭
Personally, this seems relatable to quite a lot more than a few episodes. For whatever reason he let's Rhetts decisions or words influence him. I think they should make a rule to not "hedge their bets" like throwing darts in a general area "just in case" and when it comes to selections like this they should answer independently on like a marker board or something. I think Link would win a lot more often that way lol. Oh well.
It's all part of the game lol. Links intuition is brilliant but that's the depth of their friendship that Rhett can influence him. It's honestly beautiful to watch even if it causes chaos. Especially if it does I think.
since day one 😂 he even at one point admitted he had great intuitions, yet never listened to it
@75novaguy73 That's what Brotherhood does tho it's always the guy who has great intuition and the one that able to make the other ignore it
hes gotten wayyyy better watch old ones lol. peak leak will be unstopable
I love the crew’s bewilderment about scuppernongs and muscadines 😂
Same! I’m from NC and grew up with both.
We call them bullets in SC 😂
How have I never heard of them😭
We call em “scuplins” in Alabama (at least where I’m from). Scuplin jelly is great but scuplin wine, is even better lol
I'm from GA and have ONLY ever heard muscadines... scuppernongs is a whole new world for me 😂
As a puertorican I can tell you that you could literally make this episode solely based on the fruits we have here. From guanábana, corazón, pomarosa, quenepa and beach grapes.
i was looking for this comment
boricua!!
yes!! I was screaming "we call those quenepas!"
@@filmlovernyc yes!!!!! I was literally saying the same!!! I'm glad someone gets it. 😂
Well you couldn’t because if the answer was the same each time it wouldn’t be very interesting
@@filmlovernyc - lol! my family is Jamaican and I said -- GUINEP! *yummy*
Link's thought process is always so frustrating yet relatable.
Soooooo Markiplier mixed with Arin Hanson?
I'm sad Link didn't remember Rambutan from the episode where he ate the printer ink 😭
What episode was that?
@@halo7172 it was Can You Eat That, it’s probably like 7-8 years old at this point
I love that episode! 😂 I rewatched that part so many times because I couldn’t stop laughing
One of the wildest thumbnails in GMM history.
And back then they both liked it and said it tastes like grapes.
HOW DID THEY NOT TEST THE CACTUS FRUIT?!?!?!
Bro deadass came looking for this comment 💀
It was in the thumbnail and yet they never ate it!!
Yeah prickly pears are great too that's the real tragedy, it's like cucumber but more fruity
For the Pateron?
Tha cactus froot be tasting like seeds + sugar and it's good
I loved Link asking about cloves of garlic and Nicole just being like "It's... it's a clove..."
That was a legit question. He was looking for “bulb”
@@blobbyboy7478 no, he was looking for clove. he couldn't find it because he thought clove referred to the whole bulb and he didn't want to refer to the whole bulb.
I swear he asked this exact same question in another episode!
@@edianeh recently Link was the one who corrected Rhett for calling a bulb a clove and now he can’t remember lmao
@@edianeh It was on his mind because of the recent conversation.
I remember rhett and link eating rambutan in the “edible or deadible” episode 😂
Was just going to say that lol
Exactly
Ramatayan!😂😂
i thought stevie would’ve brought it up lol
I knew they’d dated rambutan before! 😅 But it’s one of my favorite fruits so I’m glad they had it again.
Stevie told them they could eat the rind and they immediately ate it. You can tell these guys anything is edible and they won’t even ask questions at this point. 😂
Re: Muscadine Grapes- If you've ever wondered why grape soda doesn't taste like grapes, it's because you've never had a muscadine grape. They taste EXACTLY like the Purple Stuff.
Rhetts confusion at the end as they kept handing him more stuff 😂 very dad of him. Also they picked the only movie reference Link has ever understood
Aahahahhahah
Rhett putting on the wig backwards
Good morning fellow insomniacs
god I need sleep…
Good morning brother
Y'all just like me fr
Good morning from somewhere that it's already afternoon
My back just hurts, otherwise I sleep real good
They literally ate rambutan before, I think on the "Can You Eat That?" episode where Link drank the ink cartridge. I know they eat a lot of strange things but it looks pretty memorable. Definitely thought they'd recognise it.
Omg i know! I can’t believe they don’t remember
I know! I was surprised they didn't remember that. It's one of my favorite episodes XD
rambutan is really good lol
Literally the first thing that came to my mind sjsj
THIS IS WHAT I WAS THINKING
I’m 99.99% sure they’ve eaten a rambutan before on the show
S7 E72 Can You Eat That.
Yeah I thought that how could they forget😂
I think they eat so many exotic things together that they just can’t remember everything…
Definitely was I was wondering if anyone else remembered
@@monicas2461 Or they are just genuinely not smart and cant remember anything...
Link makes me so mad when he guesses correctly but then changes his answer😂
My eye was immediately drawn to the Sugar or Custard Apple, since that is so common here where I live, and we have a couple of those trees in our garden. Loved this episode.
BTW, you guys HAD rambutans on the show before! A very memorable episode, in fact, when Link glugged a whole cartridge of edible ink!
It’s always the ink smile for me. 😂
yooo i have like 8 trees in my backyard too haha
They really don't look or feel anything like that over ripe blob they had displayed.
Thank you! Quite a few of those specimens were so over ripe, they looked like they'd get up and walk.
@@australiasuh9750 Yeees, but I'm assuming it's super hard to get the fresh kinds in LA. It's practically impossible for me in Sweden lmao, I just don't get these types of fruits anymore because they just don't taste the same as fresh.
Mamoncillos are called Quenepas in Puerto Rico, they’re delicious💕
Yea i was looking at it like whats a mamoncillos?? ..thats a quenepa. Lol ..but u not lyin they fiyah
I thought they were longans.
Exactly and best when they're ripe!
I’ve had them in the islands, and they called them ginnips or skinups.
And here in Barbados they're known as ackees
i always thought sugar apple was called custard apple, personally i think that makes more sense but hey
Loved this episode btw!
They are called custard apples as well :) it grows in India and we call it custard apple (when speaking English) here.
Yeah and in the Caribbean and especially Jamaica it’s called sweetsop and is used to make a drink with condensed milk
Fan from Malaysia, here! We have both rambutan and mangosteen and both are my childhood food. We would sometimes go to my relative's orchard and eat them fresh:) Am a bit sad Link didn't like the rambutan but to anyone else tasting it, I absolutely recommend peeling them and then keeping them in the fridge for a bit. It tastes absolutely scrumptious when cold:)
Don’t forget the sugar apple… we call them nona
@@Tinafaze UUU YES YESS!!!
I really like the personal maps since it prevents any cheating and influence on answers
I love being a North Carolina native and knowing, pretty much, everything Rhett and Link talk about. My Granny's had a Scuppernog vine behind her house forever. Such sweet 🍇
ScupperNONG.
Fun fact: in my country we call Mamoncillos, "Mamones" , and we call Rambutan "Mamones chinos"
Do you know where they could be found in the US? They are my favorite fruit and I have never been able to find them.
@@TheFlagnard2quenepas they tend to have them in Spanish corner stores around summer
thanks google translate
These fruits are WAY tastier when you have them more locally! Rambutan was DELICIOUS in Cambodia since it was sitting in a shipping crate for weeks!
They liked Rambutan the first time they ate it, maybe that one was shipped better
I don’t understand your post. They taste better when they are local but then why do you say they are better when they have been in shipping crates for weeks?
@@mip4422the fruit taste better if its fresh. That rambutan, mangosteen and sugar apple wasnt fresh at all
I can’t believe Stevie, Nicole, and the rest of the mythical crew haven’t heard of muscadines/scuppernongs! Here in SC they’re everywhere.
Same here in AL! I really thought the mythical kitchen crew would know about them!
I grow em up on NJ too they're just Concord Grapes. Ie grape jelly/ welches flavor
My grandad grows them in North Mississippi! Made amazing jam from them.
Based on the way they were describing and handling the horned melon, i wonder if rhett and link have ever eaten/seen a passionfruit...
They have
yes just like they have had horned melon before.
theyve had 80% of these on the show over the last 11 years
I thought the same thing!
Was anyone else hoping that there would be a durian fruit in this episode?
Whatever is exotic to an average American is just a normal, delicious item at an average Asian farmer market🤣😅 I love watching people trying the everyday foods from my culture for the first time, seeing their mind get blown away by something I take for granted (which I probably shouldn't) is so heartwarming and it makes me love my heritage more!🥰
Yes. I appreciate when they eat all the crazy Japanese flavor combinations that most Japanese don’t get to try because it’s a limited edition coca cola or kit kat.
Have you had muscadine grapes, scuppernongs, dewberries, huckleberries, chokecherries, juneberries, mayapple or elderberries? We have prickly pear too.
Food culture differs wildly across the globe, I'm pretty sure the US could offer up things that seem exotic to you.
@@bcaye not trying to burst your bubble, but... *yes* 😬😅
Some are imported fruits, but nonetheless, we got it, cuz fruits is a crucial part of the diet from where I'm at. So we love to try!
Also my original comment wasn't trying to talk down to Americans or anything, I'm just saying it's entertaining to watch foreigners getting surprised by normal items of Asian culinary world. It's not a competition.
@@valeria_sue777 .... Not sure why you saw their suggestion comment as them making it a competition, but ok lol
@@user-rx8mr4hb2r because their comment wasn't cute like that when I replied to them
I really like seeing their palettes evolve over the years. It's wholesome.
i completely agree.
Except for links... bland cereal for him all the way.... BUT he is more than willing to try new and interesting things even when his body says no which I have HUGE respect for.
As someone from the pacific watching these "exotic" fruit videos fascinates me.
Same. I get the same "exotic" feeling when I see grapes, peaches, and pears.
Rambutan looks like a lychee.
I think these boys should try every flavour of Jelly Belly
the sugar apple is also known as a custard apple. they are awesome. so is the Rambutan and the mangosteen. wish it was cheaper to buy in Australia
I had mangosteen in Hawaii once years ago. I barely remember the flavor. Same with passion fruit though I have a sharper memory of that.
Why didn’t they eat the prickly pear! Been waiting for something like this! Would love to see them try some Maltese foods like pastizzi’s or rabbit (fenel) stew pasta
They use the cactus fruit in the thumbnail, but don't actually show it being eaten and get a reaction from them.
I think because it’s commonly found all over North America and they might recognize it. It was just thrown in for more variety I guess.
So, a scuppernog is kind of green ish and is a type of muscadine.
I thought that was a sour apple. They taste like ice cream..
@@monsieurlimpet, Link actually said he knew what they were. I used to have a big prickly pear, tunas are a bit hard to process but they're sure tasty.
Oh i loved this! More episodes with exotic fruits please 😊
We did this sort of thing in my Kindergarten class. We had coconuts, mangoes, kiwis, star fruit and papayas. It was a fun way to introduce kids to foods from outside the North East US.
The sugar apple is called Pinha here in Brazil (you pronounce it like "Piña" in Spanish). I personally love it, but the one you guys got there was too ripe 😂
That’s how you get them in the United States if you find them because they have to be shipped overseas and they can’t be preserved perfectly in the process
I love it too! You can also find it in the Philippines and we call it Atis! I agree, this one is way too ripe. 😅 And a reason why you can't find it everywhere coz they're so fragile it's difficult to ship.
Aka Chirimoya, at least here in Chile is known like that
Chirimoya is what it is called in Cuba as well! My abuela planted tree in her house and it does really well in our climate in central Florida!
It did look extra goopy!
seeing rhett and link eat a ginep/bajan ackee is honestly amazing. My life is complete
And sugar apple!
Loved this episode and idea!!! Please do more
Definitely excited to see more of these episodes.
It would be extra fun if they had Durian. Link would love that. 😂
I'm pretty sure they had Durian at one point, although that might have been one of Josh's "food fears" episodes.
Given the sorry state of the other fruit they have here, I dont want to think about what a durian in that kind of condition would smell like haha
They had durian before. 1 ep they had blindfolds on (as you see, we can't) 2nd, they made it as a prop on how to clean a toilet bowl ep and food fears from MK.
They would have to order some from Year of the Durian so the fruit has a fair chance. I’ve heard that frozen grocery store durians are not good.
I think they're already well familiar with durian.
Their dynamic this episode was so witty and funny I smiled a lot
I need more of these! I would love an episode of them trying weird fruits from Miami Fruit (They ship!)
Yaaaaas sugar apple (aka sweet sap) and guineps! It's nice to have some caribbean stuff featured!
Or chenette as we call guinep in Trinidad and Tobago!
I'm from North Carolina and I knew exactly what Rhett was talking about when he mentioned Scuppernongs. My mom used to grow them!
same i got them in my backyard
Made my country self happy hearing them explain those
Yes! My grandpa used to grow them!
We have lots in Alabama too
We have muscadines here in MS!!
You guys should totally come to the Caribbean :)) I’m from Trinidad and Tobago and some of these fruits are my favourite fruits ever! Ofc we have sugar apple, but we actually call Mamoncillos “Chennette”, and you can even find Rambutan in grocery stores as well.
I’m from Barbados and I second that!
I hope there will be more episodes like this one :)
Sugar apple is also called custard apple in Australia. It has a cousin fruit called soursop. I grew up eating custard apples straight from my own back yard taste amazing on vanilla ice cream.
I studied abroad in Australia and got to try lots of awesome fruits but my 3 favorites were the custard apple, the soursop, and the finger lime. Until someone told me that if you eat too much soursop you will have brain damage and then I was terrified lmao. But I mess those fruits we don’t have them easily accessible here in the US
i thought the picture reminded me of soursop, though the picture they used looks much more appealing then the actual fruit on the table
That sugar apple is WAY too over ripe!😂
What a glowing review from Rhett "well it doesn't stink?"
It’s a reference to the post Malone episode 🤣🤣
I grow prickly pear and dragonfruits, as well as a whole host of exotic and tropical fruits! Love it!
It's so cute that Rhett is wearing a shirt with link on it. They are such cutie patooties
Man I’m happy one of my favorite fruits is here! “Mamoncillos” or as I know them “Quenepas” are eaten a lot here in Puerto Rico! Pretty sure this is my first time commenting too haha
i know them as quenepas too! they’re literally my favorite
Mamoncillos is what we call them in Cuba!
yass i was looking for this comment!
i was looking for this comment😂😂
I immediately want Rhett’s shirt
Yessirrr scuppernongs!! You spoke to my soul with that one.
Watching this makes me a better person thanks to the whole team everyone is doing an awesome job and are making the world a better place
Very interesting episode! Keep this format and maybe do the same thing with grounded up nuts/berries?
Mamoncillos are also called guineps in the Bahamas! One of the best summertime snacks.
I was just coming to the comments to say this! 😍
love seeing both of you
Always a good day stopping on the side of the road to buy quenepas. Makes road trips 100% better
i love this new style of episode. There are soooo many fruit options for future episodes.
We have muscadine wine in our wine cabinet that we got in Tennessee. It was a big thing there, so I’m going to assume it’s a Southern US thing. It’s delicious! 😋
Yes, my grandpa used to grow them in the South!
Yeah they grow in the south. I’ve got a random vine of them growing in my backyard. They’re a pretty nice treat!
I love muscadines! Hiking and suddenly getting a whiff of a bunch of ripe muscadines is a real treat.
I love that even in this Link will always go with Rhetts logic
You guys should get Emmymade to do a video with you! She is the Queen of Exotic fruits and recipes!
Oooh what a good idea!
Omg YES, that would be so fun!
Yes! I love her!
Mamoncillo is also grown on the Yucatán peninsula in Mexico, we called them Huayas , the sweet apple we call Guanábana and the cactus fruit we call Tuna.
The cacti fruit is called prickly pear in English. They also didn't just have any prickly pear they had a xoconostle, which is a sour prickly pear.
I’d honestly like to see more of these with other exotic fruits.
Love your guys videos !
As a person from the areas that the Mamoncillos (We call them genips) and Rambutans are native to, I find it pretty funny seeing them eating them and not really liking them when those are like some of my favourite fruits, We generally don't eat the nutty part tho, just the outside sweet fleshy part
Nah facts 😂 ginep is my favorite
Good Mythical and Wednesday Morning! \m/ and hope everyone have a awesome Wednesday
"What's a piece of a garlic clove called?"
"A clove."
Lol.
Love this video !
Rambutan and Mangosteen are pretty common in my country. Durian is called the king of fruits and Mangosteen is the queen of fruits. 😂
Malaysia rep
let me guess...you from Malaysia?
King and Queen. That's funny!
RAMBUTAN TU DAH HITAM KOT.. KESIAN DIORANG..
@@fakhrulsamli806 close. Haha. I'm from Singapore!
Loved this! Definitely need a part 2. Sidenote why didn't they eat the cactus fruit?
Right they even put it in the thumbnail and showed the inside
That's what I was waiting for lmao I grew up eating them as a kid, so good with lime and salt and chile powder or tajin!
omg please do more of these and try granadilla my favourite fruit!!!!
I dig this format.
As soon as Rhett mentioned muscadine berries, I immediately got flashbacks to Uncle Si thinking he was eating them and it actually being raccoon turds on Duck Dynasty lmao.
Rambutans are so good! I was introduced to them by this little Thai lady I used to work with! She got a lot of us addicted to them
Love you guys
I always love how, as someone who lives in the South, I always know what they are talking about, like with the scuppernongs. Used to eat those as a kid all the time! And they do make wines from them!
Best part of my day!
What you call mamoncillos is known as GUINEPS all over our beautiful Caribbean islands. They are tangy and sweet 😋
We also have Sugar Apples here in The Bahamas too 🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸
I swear Rhett and Link have had Rambutan before
my favorite part of the summer is just eatin quenepas in the car on road trips, so good.
You should do another one with jabuticaba, Cajá and jambo. All of them in Brazil
I lived in Brazil for 2 years and got to try all of those, jabuticaba is delicious!
Cupuaçu, biribá, bacurí murucí, jambo, ingá, taperebá e várias outras frutas (these are from Northern Brazil)
Good Mythical Morning everybody 💜💜💜
It’s a very good mythical morning
1:40 am
I haven’t slept
Let’s watch this ❤
So glad i got to see you guys back in 2017 in Dallas at your live show since I can’t make mythicon.
Scuppernongs are soooooo good! And the wine? Incredible
I remember them eating Rambutan in "Is it edible" episode years ago
Let's get Rhett and Link too 18mil!! 👏💯 Have a good night and day tomorrow y'all!! ✌️💯
Great episode
Mamoncillos are also called Quenepas I believe. If it’s the same thing I love these!
I love the play on ‘fruit scamander’ as in newt scamander.
Also LOVE learning about these produce!! More of these please!!!
As a Carolina boy I am proud they mentioned our state fruit! Keep representing home boys!
This one was really fun! I’ve travelled a lot and lived abroad, so a lot of these fruits were really familiar to me. I was surprised that the guys hadn’t tried some of these.
"OH it's like a muscadine! You know what I am saying? Well a scuppernong."
"What are you saying to me."
🤣🤣🤣
Scuppernongs are so damn good! Love them. Wish i could get my hands on them on yr round

My favourite duo,
Rhett and Charles
we had mamoncillos behind my old school, we called them ganips, and we would always go to the tree and just eat them during our free hour. They are so good, it really cool to see them on the show and be able to remind myself of some good memories.
