My favorite kind of GMMores are the ones where Rhett and Link are just chatting; my second favorite kind are the ones where the crew members tell stories about themselves. It's nice to have simple, laidback GMMores :)

I'm glad to see more people interested in stories. Honestly, it's the only truly human experience that's woven in to our nature. We'll never get tired of stories, or get sick of telling them. I just wish folks would read more. I mean, I like conversation, but pick up a book and apply your sight and mind to it. Get analytical, and/or use that imagination. Give your brain a left and right workout.
Never lose interest in the story, Sarah. Stick to it. I think there's a reason why you enjoy them so much.

I really do love how Emily talks and tells stories. She is so great at adding little details and describing how things happened. This was funny!!

In fact dead climbers on Everest are often used as trail markers. The most well known in probably Green Boots, a man who died who had, you guessed it, green boots on. Once someone dies on Everest, they're frozen quickly and can weight twice as much within a couple of hours and so can't be carried back down.
Also a lot of the bodies on Everest belong to the sherpas and guides. They're often hiking with worse equipment and often no oxygen and so are more likely to die in the climb than rich climbers

Matt’s story is the greatest. He had me laughing so hard while surrounded by my flatmates. Had to replay that part to show them what I was laughing so hard at - to the point where I had tears as well

Those who climb Mt. Everest actually use the various corpses as marking points as to how far up the mountain they are. Climbers literally know where they are once they see "Green Boots". Kind of disturbing but also helpful.
That is terrifying if not traumatizing.

Sadly the Green Boots body has disappeared. Apparently some climbers or sherpas may have rolled him over a ledge for a more "dignified" burial away from public view, but his whereabouts are unknown.
Green Boots is gone.

Sherpas die the most unfortunately. You get inexperienced climbers looking to check something off their bucket list who then hire sherpas to do the heavy lifting for them.. it’s a really sad and booming industry. There’s also a lot of waste up there now from such heavy traffic. :(

one time i tried to humanely dispose of a spider that was making a web on the inside of my patio screen door. instead of killing it, i wanted to set it free. so my plan was to take a cup and a piece of paper, trap it between both, and then release it outside. what actually happened was i panicked while trying to trap it, accidentally chopped off part of two if it's legs, got it trapped, took it outside, panicked again, and then tossed it from my third floor balcony.

Elli. Just to let you know. Even if you had gone a week or 2 earlier your passport would have been to old. I believe it is 6 months cut off where they no longer let you fly out of the country if you have 6 months or less left. They make you renew it. We had it happen to us before when my mom had 3 or 4 months left on her passport.
