4v4 my team losing badly, its over. My teammates spam the locate king button so they get accustomed to it. I snipe all 4 kings in a single final push

At 50:04 you see that blue placed his transport on top of the fish, just like T90 asked. So he was definitely streamcheating.
Or he was moving it to get it out of view of the other grey units, which he found out from t90. Either way he was cheating

I think you did really well, you stopped strong pushes, but with ffa snapping up the sea when everyone was occupied made it a steal for him. I think you really won your war despite surrendering to ffa at the end. Your enemies all died really!

I love these really really long games. So much going on and you really got to learn to know the players. You start to root for somebody and about halfway through any plans/strategies go overboard.

Hey T90! I've been watching a lot of your videos, and I really like the pilgrims regicide matches. Question, has anyone ever tried taking over all the starting islands early than dominating the water? I think that might be a viable strategy for someone if they could pull it off. Maybe with a small resource colony on the mainland if necessary.

yeah, I'm pretty sure yellow was happier with grey winning than with purple from the things he said later in chat.
What a game, this has been one of my favourites so far. So many swings and roundabouts. Your casting hasn't changed much at all in the last 4 years, it's good to see. Keep up the fantastic work!

grey wouldn't have gotten so big if it wasn't for blue's snipe cheat. after red got killed by blue, grey heavily invested in water.

I'm kinda mad that game ended. So many times we all KNEW what was going to happen, and it didn't....... like a live action fantasy war novel playing out. Ah well, I'll just have to enjoy another. By the way..... someone please tell me, as I am considering heavily returning to RTS games, that there is still a large community for this, and hopefully one that has fewer stream snipers, and more people in it for the game.
You should return! My "community games" on twitch average about 300-350 live viewers right now. Obviously my channel is still growing and my T90 Series 5 will probably have about 500 live viewers or more. So it depends what you mean by "large." It's not large compared to other games but it is a dedicated bunch.
Large enough to ensure a game pretty much whenever is all. I have no preset schedule, so i hop on from time to time, and soon, will be reinstalling. BTW, I hit a follow on your twitch before I crashed. Relearning the game through old tourny vids, and live streams as we speak.

Somebody HAS to remake an AoE 2 with a modern engine but excact gamestyle... They could call it (AoE 2) 2 !

AoE online wasn't a remake of AoE 2.. Think like what Bethesda did with Skyrim SE.
I am aware. My point is that the current way developers work is so much profit-oriented that this (unfortunately) will not happen.
To be honest, I'd rather have a remake of AoE 1. AoE 2 is perfectly playable on newer PCs, but AoE 1 can be a hassle. Not only because it can't handle big resolutions.
So, I never played AoE 2. But may I ask for what reason does there need to be a new AoE 2?

This game just goes to show you don't resign in ffa's early no matter what. I would even say don't unless it is down to a 1v1 and it is clear you are going to lose. I just had a similar thing to what happened to grey happen to me today. I was score leader so I got 3v1'd and was first person to get wiped down below 20 vills but then i just started building in various spots around the map (3/4 of my "refugee camps" were found and destroyed) but from the one spot that didn't get discovered i was able to reboom. One player got killed while i was rebuilding but there were still three enemies left and i managed to slowly overwhelm them one at a time with trash. it took 3 in game hours (2 hours realtime) so maybe it wasn't worth it but oh well.
On the other hand that's one thing to keep in mind if u destroy someone. Keep scouting around the map so you make sure no one can rebuild.
Yeah! Because in free for all and ESPECIALLY diplomacy, when you get so weak you might as well resign, or are forced to flee or even have a decent amount of stuff left but are consistently losing fights, the player(s) who are beating you will end up fighting other strong players and lose interest in you. Allies will betray each other when you aren't enough of a threat anymore. Other players could get knocked out/resign and lose their base, leaving a bunch of resources for you to boom with. Never give up for sure

i think yellow should have gone for heavy demolition ships. one hit and the king is dead.
The thing is he probably did not research that at all, and I don't think regular un-upgraded demolition ship would be able to pass that warships wall nor one shot the king without direct hit
while it certainly would have been hard to pass that army it would have been easier to do that, than defeat the entire army, maybe something to distract the army would have been neccesary, (how to write that word?)
the king has 75 hp. if i am not mistaken normal demo ships have 120 attack. they have a way smaller explosion range, than heavy ones, but in this context this is not as important.
I am fairly certain, that one normal demo ship would kill a king.
He really couldn't do much more than one ship though.

I've the feeling that blue AND grey was hearing the stream, but not sure. Just after T90 told that blue could be sniping and could kill grey's king, grey killed blue. But we didn't how that happened or why he waited that long, so I can't say anything.
Most disappointing part is, that nobody used monks. If Toom used monks to get buildings of red, he could easily leave grey alone with purple and let them fight. :D
Dead thread response: But blue's obvious-king-in-a-transport ship was in gray's LOS for ages like an inch from his new corner base, so I don't think a stream snipe was necessary. I think the real correlation in timing was that gray killed blue's king the same moment he launched his big cataphract offensive. I think he left blue's king alive as long as he did because having more players and less action from him helped gray keep a low profile. And then when he was ready to attack he didn't need to hide anymore so might as well take blue out.

It's been a long while since I last played AoE2, but I am curious, in this match, would it be considered viable if you snuck your king onto an already-resigned player's island and just hide it behind a dead player's houses? Kinda like a tree in a dead forest, that no one will search?
