    Wicked video given me thew ideas for my own setup. Definitely pushed me for a gyro already having the notch rook on one bridge. Love your guys videos. Must be wicked to have group of like minded people you can bounce ideas and tricks with each. Would be so sick

    Thanks for the video. Great ideas. .... just tying another knot in the bridge to make it shorter.... and using paracord as a hitch... simple! Thanks! Subscribing.

    I am interested in knowing more about the Ropeman adjustable bridge. If anyone has information on the attachment ideas for this setup please let me know. I am setting up my TM Pro saddle.

    Something to be wary of is the way the ropeman can cut the rope.
    In tests I think it started to cut the sheath at 4kN which isn't much.
    It's worth grinding a cross hatch pattern thru the linear teeth on the cam so that it can't cut the rope.
    I think Richard mumford tested it.

    Great video! I noticed the DMM Revolver on one of your bridges. Was just curious, what advantages have you found with that?

    I'm curious, are you still running an adjustable bridge? I was recommended against running an adjustable. You've definitely sold me on the camp gyro swivel!

    What carbiners are you guys using that work well with the camp gyro 3? All mine don't fit that well.

    Nice video. Might want to get the guys wearing lighter colour cloths so the harness kit stands out more though.
    Is this all adaptations you've all made? Just wondering if you've had any feedback from LOLER inspectors on changes to standard use?

    • @VisualClimber
      @VisualClimber  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes these are all our own adaptations and have used these setups for a long time now, as there so easily removed we do remove them for loler. However only adds a second redundancy to the bridge and doesn't void the knots at the end of the bridge. Just need to keep an eye on the cam based adjusters, however climbing everyday we can see how much wear there making, not that I've ever seen any.

      @@VisualClimber Cool, as an inspector I'd possibly be a bit hesitant of harness adaptations. Be interested to have a look one day to get a little more knowledge.

      @@tjbarb1194 hey thanks for the comment, there is an article where cams have been tested on rope bridges to test braking strains and if they are effected, outcome= the effects where so minor it didn't make a difference 👍

      Great video! Really hard too see some of the gear though it’s a bit dark. As a ‘Merican! I find it a bit hard to understand accents through the music. Cheers for your work! 👍🏽 The Petzl Adjust is a really slick device! (Works decent as a lanyard (strop) as well)

    What’s the wear like on the lower Ds with using the mechanical rope grabs? Looks like they would rub against them a fair bit?

    • @VisualClimber
      @VisualClimber  Před 2 lety +2

      Minimal, they just sit nicely again the D's no wear at all

    • @TheMegachump
      @TheMegachump Před rokem

      I’ve had some over a lot of use. It’s a bit of a trade off as a prusic you won’t get the wear but it’s not as functional as having a cam. It’s gonna be different for each cam and harness combo. DMM have solved the problem with their new harness to hit the market in the near future 👍🏽

    Is two line work positioning required in Europe?

  • @Craig_Flood

    How did that guy at 2:05 use cord to make that adjustable bridge?

    • @mightyconker3903
      @mightyconker3903 Před rokem +1

      He tied a knut hitch in paracord to each rope bridge.
      The bridges are tied together behind the hitch so a failure of the paracord would only result in a lengthening of the bridge to maximum.
