Christianity was traditionally more Communist than capitalist pretty much up until Calvinist Protestantism took over The US. Calvin un-banned USURY for Christians, against the Catholic Church and Jesus' teachings. The more devout the Christian community, the more they shared workload and produce, with monasteries and nunneries being quite common extremes - although some nunneries took donations from wealthy people getting rid of mad/bad daughters.
