- In January we completed 30 watercolor flowers for our 30 day watercolor flower guide! It has been a few years since the first guide, and I thought it needed a major upgrade.
But now what?
In this video I show you how to take the flowers you know how to paint, and turn them into beautiful floral compositions using my 5 step process.

These floral paintings practiced with you was extremely helpful! I love my 30 pictures in the watercolor flower guide, some were more successful than others. Your 5 step process is such a fantastic map to planning floral compositions! Thank you so much for sharing!
What a beautiful painting. Thank you for the composition lesson and I liked watching you work. Seeing how you move your brush helps me to see how someone with your skill level manipulates the brush to get the strokes you do. ❤
Thank you very much! I agree, when I was learning I think watching the movements helped me the most 💕
Do you offer any classes or do you have just CZcams content? I see you have books available on Amazon.
So lovely and thank you for every minute of this enjoyable series.
You are so welcome!
What a beautiful composition and tutorial. ❤ Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much, Kristin. This tutorial is exactly what I needed. Composition is an essential aspect that can make or break a painting and as amateurs we don't know much about it. At least I don't. ❤
This video is so inspiring! I haven't finish the 30-day flower paintings yet but the gorgeous flower arrangement you painted gives me something really special to look forward to. I have the Flower Colour Guide book and now I plan to save up to buy the flower arrangement one, too. Thank you so much for sharing your 5 Steps and your lovely painting in a step-by-step way.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m so glad you’re loving the series
Thank you for this lovely and relaxing video. Your composition is gorgeous. Watching you paint has inspired me.
I'm so glad! Thank you for the kind words 💕
I’ve enjoyed painting each flower in your chart. I’m so happy you showed composition planning…something I definitely need to learn. Thank you for the wonderful instruction!❤️

I haven't started yet to paint aquarelle but can't wait to !! Your tutorial is as much helpful than beautiful and peaceful to watch

Stunning flower painting!!!!! Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for making this tutorial…I was wondering what I was going to do with all the flowers I painted! Your tips on starting the composition was very helpful. I have both books so I will take a look and see where I want to go with my flower. Love your videos! Always look forward to what you post.
Glad it was helpful! I’m happy I was able to bridge the gap between the florals and turning them into something. Thank you 💕

Hi, Kirsten thank you for the excellent 30 day tutorial I just finished my last flower Bird of Paridàce and I was wondering what will I do with all the skills I have learned from you. This flower composition is a wonderful idea I would love to see more similar tutorials. Your an excellent teacher.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed the series. I think I’ll be doing a lot of these in the future 💕
Amazing job hopefully I will be able to do that some day 😊

Quick question: What is the trick you use at 8:56 with the backend of the bush? Did you dip it in paints and then use it on the paper, or are you simply using it dry to redirect paint?
Thank you so much for this concept video. I tried my hand at creating my own bouquet before our 30 days were up - it was fun but I felt limited in my understanding of the elements that would make it WOW! Your instruction makes your technique so accessible. Thank you!
Do you sell the watercolour books by Michael Putnam?
I am so glad it was helpful! I found the books on Amazon 💕
Amazing thank you 🙏🏻🩷 so helpful ✨🌞🌿🪷🪻
You're so welcome!
-- Hello! What do you do with all of the paintings that you create? Do you keep them, and/or frame them? Or do you sell them?
Could you please help me understand your brush size, I have 0 and it has very tiny brush. I see that you use size 2 for 30 day florals and on screen it looks bigger, checking you supplies list I am still confused. I am enjoying your tutorials and learning so much
Hi! Polina Bright’s brush sizes are very different, so her size zero is closer to a 6 or 8 in regular brushes. I prefer her style of brush though because they are long and springy
