Did the three ossions that the Fijian llost the ball over the line line, not have a bigger impact or the last play of the game where they dropped the ball?

I’m Welsh and I think we were lucky not to have a card we got warned 3 times Fiji make one mistake and they get a card seemed harsh, be a shame to see Fiji exit the tournament such a good team world rugby need to get the pacific teams playing more high level rugby, everyone’s been saying it for years, why isn’t anything getting done, it’s just going to enhance the game and world cups to come

Sadly many Welsh fans have gotten very defensive, even aggressive when people have simply called into question the bizarre officiating of this game by misconstruing it as hatred of Wales or the Welsh, which is ridiculous. Good to see people who put the game and fair play before allegiance. However, fair play Wales they did work hard, stick in there, bogged the game down against a more talented side and ground out a victory. I would like to see Wales get back to the exciting running style of jj Williams, John Dawes etc. I think everyone, including many welsh fans, are getting bored of "warren ball".

Fiji are not a bad side these days. Are people surprised that it was so close? they've brought wales close the last few times playing them. Wales played well for periods but shot themselves in the foot a few times with bad decision making. Well played to both sides. It was a spectacle to watch

Arguably Fiji got lucky we let them back in the game. Liam Williams with an EXTREMELY rare misplay right at the end offered them the chance but people overlook that in favor of the fumble at the end.
At the end of the day it was an incredible rugby match. It still amazes me to see the amount of hate Wales is getting when they went into this match as the underdogs and yet took the game to the Fijians, matching them physically, scoring points clinically (not just kicks but tries too), as well as putting up the most dogged defence I've seen out of all the matches thus far in this RWC.
This is a very YOUNG and overall INEXPERIENCED Welsh side remember....they are in a transition period. If they can do that now, on the biggest stage in Rugby then I certainly look forward to the future of Welsh rugby in the years to come.

Gatland not got the balls to put his hand up and admit they may have been a bit lucky not to get a second yellow. I've heard him moan about the same situation when it's gone the other way. I get that people don't like admitting or hearing anything said that takes the shine off a victory, but a little bit of honesty would be better received than just shrugging it off!
....and certainly not throwing 'eye daggers' at the journo who asked him the very question that everyone is talking about. Maybe Warren should be made to watch the Fiji press conference, and see if he's so steadfast in his convictions. Fat chance of that, unfortunately.

@@spaghettibadger647 Plenty of coaches before him have conceded that their team might have been lucky not to receive a card for any number of infringements. Doesn't need to comment on the ref personally. The Fijian coach had no problem saying it as it is, and he was right to.

Swansea born but raised and schooled in England and is an RFU referee. That doesn’t exactly suggest loyalty or favour to Wales. The same questions were asked about half French, half Irish ref Alan Rolland in the 2011 WC game between France and Wales. People need to get over this nonsense. He was inconsistent, no doubt about that, but it was nothing to do with his loyalties.

Yes we did deserve to win, only think we did wrong was bring on replacements in the 65th minute, our bench wasn't strong enough. It was poor of the ref to miss some of Fiji's infringements. The scoreboard counts and you stop acting like a big cissy.

The refereeing definitely needs to become more consistent, there have been numerous incidents in a lot of games that have been refereed very differently for some reason. Hope they get this sorted out before Thursday.
