      @@ManuelRamsaier it would be great if you can make video of lattice optimization in this model. thank you for your reply

    Hey Manuel, what if, the error showing
    *** ERROR # 312 ***
    In static load case 1
    the compliance is negative or large 8.71101e+17.
    Optimization/buckling analysis cannot be performed.
    due to possible rigid body mode.
    FEASIBLE DESIGN (ALL CONSTRAINTS SATISFIED).

    *** SOME ERRORS WERE REPORTED DURING THE RUN,
    *** PLEASE VERIFY RESULTS AS THEY MAY BE INVALID.
    what might be the issue here, i followed all the steps, still getting the same error. Can you help me with that?

      Thats one of the classic errors - should make a video about it. It means your model is not constraint sufficiently or has loose parts which "fly away" under load.

    Hey Manuel, thanks for all the great videos they are a really fantastic resource to learn.
    Do you know if it is possible to use non-linear analysis for topology optimization in HyperWorks? I am asking cause it would be a useful feature for displacement driven designs with big deflections. I personally didn't manage to figure out if it is possible so I thought you might know:) Thanks in advance!

      Hey :) As far as I know there is no easy way to do a non linear topology optimization as for those topology optimization you need to have derivatives which would be very computationally costly if you would have it in a non linear subcase (each derivative would cause multiple function calls and the validity is limited as it is a linerization)
      It depends on which non-linearity you are referring to. But the basic saying is - optimization of topology with optistruct - only linear (to my knowledge)

      @@ManuelRamsaier Yes, I thought that would not be easy. Thank you for replying, I really appreciate it. Good luck with all of your projects and I am looking forward to watching more of your videos.
      Cheers

    Brilliant video. Do you have a video that details optimisation for a frequency response or modal run in addition to multiple static design cases?
    Also, do you have a video on geometry export of the optimised structure shape?

    • @ManuelRamsaier
      @ManuelRamsaier  Před 3 lety

      both are good topics. There is a video about a frequency response optimization. Geometry export there are multiple options so its difficult to squeze them into one video. But I think I covered OSSmooth in one video.
      Best regards

    Good stuff. Thanks for the video!
    A small correction, in the opening slide, below the heading, it reads "Part 3: Topology Optimization". I believe it should be part 2, no?

    • @ManuelRamsaier
      @ManuelRamsaier  Před 3 lety

      Part 2 was Hyperview which was included in the "Hypermesh FEM Model and Hyperview Tutorial" Video at around 17:29.
      So my intention was:
      - Part1: Preprocessing in Hypermesh
      - Part2: First Run and Post Processing the Analysis
      - Part3: Topology Optimization
      Hope this helps :)
