  • FA Cup Final 20 May 1989 - Liverpool 3 Everton 2
This video has news reports and interviews from the evening of the game. There is some great footage of the Liverpool players drinking champagne from the Cup and singing Poor Scouser Tommy. It seems like something from a bygone age, and I guess it is.
The video ends with Ferry Cross The Mersey, the single released to raise money for the families of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster. At the time, 95 people had died, and this became 96 in March 1993 when Tony Bland died having been in a coma since the disaster. Rest in peace.
Thanks to distantvoices for this video.

With it being a Cup Final tinged with sadness. It was good to see Everton Fans being respectful to Liverpool Fans after Hillsborough.

Hi Dawn. I haven't uploaded the full 1986 Cup Final Grandstand, although it looks as though someone else has uploaded it all to youtube. My longest video of the 1989 final is this one (52 mins highlights): czcams.com/video/SRaXNsEnV50/video.html The full match is already on youtube. I have some of the build up, but not all. From memory, I think I didn't record the Everton parts to save space on the video.
