    How many thousands were there and in that minute's silence, not a single noise. I have never not heard no noise at- all when silence is held at any event. RESPECT ..R.I.P!😢😢

    What is also interesting, and never gets mentioned. Was that prior to the game. manchester united actually offered old trafford to the FA for this FA cup semi- final. Why did they say no?.....Also their had been multiple complaints from various fans about the leppings lane end of hillsborough stadium over the years too....So sad..x

    It's amazing to see the fences still up at the front of the terraces.

    This was more than an FA Cup semi final, I think it's safe to say

    I remember at the time watching the game I did not not know if I should be happy when we won or got a goal or not but it was the right thing to play on

    Aldridge ruined it and it's a shame Psycho Pearce didn't banjo him but at least Tony Adams put him in his place on the last game of the season

      Heard this a load of times and I genuinely think Aldridge meant it just to say hard luck, comes across wrong of course but I don't believe he meant anything by it.

      @@calmster nah mate seriously, first of all he was laughing and i remember Brian Laws saying he wanted to knock him out himself as well which he wouldn't have said if he was commiserating and secondly if you read Stuart Pearce's autobiography it turns out Aldridge had finally just apologised for doing something similar the year before a couple of days previously. I cant remember if it was the 88 semi or when they done them 5-0 in the league but it was the second time it had happened and that's what pissed Pearce off the fact that he'd refused to apologise for so long, finally did just before this game then does exactly the same thing again. Quite a few 1st division players had a lot to say about Aldridge as a person in general he wasn't the most popular

      @calmster Před 4 lety

      @@stephenm8898 that's fair enough mate, I haven't really looked into it further than actually knowing that it happened, it was the game after the semi where he apologised, a game incidentally I was at, the first home game after the disaster, bit of a shitty thing to do in all honesty if he wasnt commiserating with him.

      lol, ye didn't Adams ruffle his hair while he was sitting on the ground at the end? Although there was no way Barnes was going to miss that if Laws didn't intercept

    • @stephenm8898
      @stephenm8898 Před 3 lety +1

      @@waz3128 the issue wasn't what Aldridge did but the fact he'd only just publicly apologised for doing it to him before. Stuart Pearce was going to hit him but Aldridge avoided the players bar afterwards apparently
