    For the United fans that are going to start trolling I just want to point something out.
    Liverpool have more major trophies than united. United have 45 Liverpool have 47 soon 48. Liverpool were the first English team to win a treble. Liverpool have more have more trophies than united bar the league (which they will catch up with) and the other the FA cup. (They both have 1 Club World Cup). Liverpool have 13 European trophies, United have 6. : )

    • @mancsishotred768
      @mancsishotred768 Před 4 lety +1

      u clearly dont know how to state ur points united are way better because
      1. It's 2-1 in Champions League victories
      Let's face it, Liverpool will always argue they trump United when it comes to Europe. Granted, five European Cups looks impressive in the cabinet, but looking at their first win back in 1977 they only had to beat Crusaders (who?), Trabzonspor, St Etienne, FC Zurich and Borussia Monchengladbach. Okay, the latter had some wonderful players, but they were not exactly Europe's traditional heavyweights. The year after Liverpool had a bye in the first round (a free bloomin' pass!) leaving them with a meagre four matches to reclaim the cup. Ferguson's first Champions League win in 1999 saw United overcome LKS Lodz, Barca, Bayern, Brondby, Inter, Juve and Bayern again in that dramatic final. Liverpool finally managed to put an end to 21 years of European heartache with their first Champions League victory in 2005, before United claimed their second in Moscow three years later, demonstrating their superiority in the modern era. Only an incredible Barca team stopped United winning three in four seasons.
      2. United have won the most league titles: 20 v 18
      After giving Liverpool an 11 league title head start, Sir Alex Ferguson made it his mantra to knock 'Liverpool right off their [expletive deleted] perch.' True to his word, the Scot delivered 13 league trophies plus another 25 major honours during his 27 years in charge. In 2014 the Merseyside men did come within touching distance of claiming their first ever Premier League title, only for a late slip by Stevie G to ensure the wait will last a little longer. Come back when you've won, er, one, eh lads?
      3. United have more history
      14 years prior to the birth of Liverpool FC, a bunch of railway men decided to form Newton Heath LYR FC, way back in 1878. That club would become better known as Manchester United. Meanwhile, in the same year Everton occupied Anfield and would continue to do so before an issue over rent resulted in the Toffees leaving for Goodison Park. So it was that Liverpool were formed to keep Anfield's landlord in ticket revenue. That's right, not only were Liverpool formed years after United, but they were a kind of proto-MK Dons. And Scousers had the cheek to moan about United's commercialism!
      4. United are considerably richer than Liverpool
      They say money talks, so the Stretford End would be shouting so loud it would silence Anfield even on a European night. With savvy commercial revenue streams coming in from every corner of the globe, the Red Devils trump their Merseyside rivals, bringing in £ £581m in the last set of financial results compared to Liverpool's £301m. Add to that a world record-breaking £750m Adidas shirt sponsorship, which was signed in 2015 for the next decade and it looks as if the trend is set to continue for the richest club on the planet.
      5. Man United won the best treble of all
      United went where no English team had ever been before in 1999, with that famous triple crown. Make no mistake, this was the greatest and most successful season any English football club has ever had. Liverpool fans may well remind us that they collected a hat-trick of trophies back in 2001, but we all know the League Cup, UEFA Cup and FA Cup isn't a proper treble. Ditto their 1984 effort (which included the League Cup - then known as the Milk Cup, which you just can't take seriously). Liverpool nearly won the proper treble in 1977, claiming the European Cup and First Division, but they bottled the FA Cup final, losing to… United.
      6. Old Trafford is the biggest club stadium in the UK
      While the Kop may have built a reputation for creating a bit of atmosphere over the years, with 54,074 seats Liverpool will need to do a bit more than rebuild their old Main Stand for Anfield to come anywhere near Old Trafford's huge capacity. With 75,731 seats the Theatre of Dreams is comfortably the largest club ground (discounting Wembley) in the Premier League, ranking sixth overall in Europe and making it one of the grandest football grounds in the world. The true giants of world football - Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, AC Milan - all play in massive stadiums. That's real stature. The Old Trafford faithful will probably tell you they have better songs, too.
      7. Man United are more popular than Liverpool
      Liverpool must be wondering which category they can get one over United in. The Red Devils are richer, have more history, more trophies in the cabinet, play in a bigger stadium and even come out on top in the popularity stakes - certainly on Twitter. It is a fact United have over 6m more followers then their bitter rivals at the time of writing, despite taking an age to sign up to the social network. On Facebook it's an even more comprehensive trouncing: 73.9m United likes compared to 30.2m for Liverpool. There's a reason why United are more popular - they're just better!

      @MANCS ISHOTRED
      1) imagine discrediting our 1977 European cup when you played the Malta champions (Hibernians), the Yugoslavia champions (Sarajevo) and the polish champions (Gornik Zabrze). You only played one team from the top 5 leagues (Real Madrid). Liverpool played the French and German champions. I’m not saying United’s wasn’t impressive but you have to understand that every team including united would get random European teams at some point. That’s how the European cup worked. You say that Liverpool only have one “Champions league” yet we’ve won two in the Champions league era (05,19). The European Cup and Champions League are regarded the same thing, which is why united have 3 and Liverpool have 6. Your points about having a bigger fan base world wide (ignoring the fact many of them know nothing about your club), that your rich and that you have a bigger stadium are all completely irrelevant to who’s the better team. The point that you have more history only because your a little bit older is also irrelevant to who is the better team, and Liverpool have been as consistent if not more at winning trophies than united throughout history.

    Ronnie Whelan, John Barnes, Steve Nicol, Bruce Grobbelaar were all still there until 1994 or 1995, and Barnes stayed 8 more years to 1997 before he joined Newcastle United. Hansen retired the next season, and then Ray Houghton, Steve McMahon were moved on by Graeme Souness and John Aldridge was sold on in 1991. Jan Molby even remained until 1994/95 season, and in 1990s, it saw team decline winning 2 trophies in 10 years to 1999/2000 including League Championship in 1990, reaching only 3 finals.

Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal I have watched that match and that stands out to me more than this Cup Final as beating Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield was seen as impossible by everybody outside Highbury
