Which is better: Devin or Github Workspace?

wait until GitHub Autopilot, indeed
Just tested Devin, myself! Honestly I find him not that impressive! However, I haven't tried GitHub's Copilot, yet!
Thanks, Matt !â€

Voice Cloning? Open Source? âïžâïž Wooohooo! Yah! A deep dive tut please! đ€đ€
Installer with a few clics inside pinokio.
OpenVoice tutorial, hell yea! Take an audio book of your favorite reader and clone it.
xtts did that already
@@240dbprisms5 There is no working voice cloning in Finnish language yet, many others though.
can you add chapters to your news videos in future? I already read about some of these issues so it would be better to be able to skip those segments
I think you might be underestimating the power of the Copilot chat functionality when it comes to working with large code bases at company. Super powerful for on boarding new team members to a project without having to be there to answer every single question that they might have.
yes he never used the github chat otherwise he would be differenciate because i think github copilot chat is the best even can beat the gpt-4 easily
Claude 3 Opus already gets 90,90% of its citations right when writing a scientific report. Is that already PhD level? I don't know about GPT-4, but that's impressive for a model.
Yes please do a deep dive video on using open voice
Definitely looking forward to seeing open source cloning tutorials. Can't wait!
I love both your video suggestions! đ
I would love to see the full talk with Sam Altman, super intresting stuff.
czcams.com/video/GLKoDkbS1Cg/video.html
Yes! Do an openvoice installation and use video!
Great as always, Matt, I love your news videos! :D
Also, a tutorial for openvoice (or several ones!) would be fantastic! :D :D
What good is AI when it learns from bad examples? This is something I learned in high school: "Practice does not make perfect. Correct practice makes perfect."
There's also a saying "Garbage in. Garbage out." that also applies to humans.
Goodevening matt, just grabbed my coffee.. lots of love from Zambia, Africa
This was a really jam-packed update. Very well done, thank-you. Rabbit R1 hack means that we can potentially use the app on a Rasbperry Pi. I love this jailbreaking of apps off their proprietary hardware. It's kinda like a liberation or apps.
How slow would that be on Pi? Just cos you can?
@@joythought I don't think the RPi are slow anymore, but arm64 architecture is getting common, was the point I tried to make.
Whereâs that phi-3 phone tutorial? đ
That it works for Visual Studio 2022? Net framework?
Would love to see a demo of Openvoice.
Always watch your video good work
Would love a setup guide for open voice but if possible can you provide instructions for windows as well as Mac?
Your music of the Sora music video was better than the original đđ
8:33 natural language driven dashboards is not new! Similar features exist in PowerBI, Tableau for quite some time already.
Matt I agree with you with the R1. Again price point, price point, price point. I am honestly stoked about the implications. Early on, yes kinda sucks BUT I like the fact I don't have to talk to siri or grab my phone to get a simple response. I think people are being over critical about this product and it s potential and at worst, you will be able to jail break it in the future and use it for whatever you want. Like you said this is about building the plane while you are flying it and if you don't see that then you are missing what is going on here.
To Count British as emotion what a time
Hey Matt, I'd love to see a video on MyShell-AI but better than just installing it would be piping it to an open-source LLM (like LLaMA3). I'm really interested in learning how to integrate voice functionality with an open-source model for TTS and STT. Essentially, I'm hoping to see a viable open-source voice assistant come to fruition. It seems like we're getting really close compared to a year ago! As a bonus, it would be amazing if it could run efficiently on a standard PC (without a GPU or just an iGPU) or through an API like Groq. Please make it happen!đ
Yes to OpenVoice video and yes to Altman's speech video
Sam Altman said that he never said he was looking for 7/8 trillion dollars, I don't know why people keep repeating that?
Exactly!
Yes on the OpenVoice video, pls. :)
Is there any Google cloud options too?
The part from 1:08 - 1:32 would be a good episode on it's own, with a guest interview.
There are some cool small projects been made where ppl are hooking LLM to ASR and TTS and get fully local truely smart speakers
Thank you.
love your work, and yes i would like to see a demo on the openvoice, can i ask suggestion ? i like your work and i watch your videos primary but for someone who is trying to write code on windows ( L plates) it is very hard to wrap my brain around your Apple commands while trying to remember and learn the Windows commands lol. i know its prob to much work for you but could u give brief description on Windows code differences, as you go through a walkthrough. often im trying to follow your tutorial step by step and get completely train wrecked not realising what part is the same aand what parts arnt. dont go into detail ( as i know its just more work for u) but just something like a heads up on walkthroughs that "this particular part will need a windows specific command along the lines of blah blah blah " :P
using AI copilots hosted on the cloud is like using an IDE you can only access remotely with fixed plugins. the future of copilots is local with some degree of specificity, whether thats fine tuning on datasets and to custom metrics or custom RAG/context injection. When Im coding I care mainly about understanding of my code first and code in general second. The best Ive gotten so far is an ambiguous "we train on your code snippets" and "project wide". that level of ambiguity is almost worse than useless when relying on tools for software development.
I think that's going to be the case for a lot of A.I. use, especially as they become more useful in a lot more areas, as I can't imagine many people and companies wanting data going back and forth to the online server, as it's easy to see how that can be a security and privacy risk as we have no idea what they are doing with that data.
Locally run models are likely the future as they are getting good enough and will continue to get better, without having any of the security and privacy issues, and they also have the advantage of not being as restrictive and can be fine-tuned for your given tasks.
Anyway, if this was just a year ago, I would likely say it was unrealistic for locally run models to compete with the online ones, but with how quickly A.I. is developing, especially open source small models, it's becoming less of an issue that for a lot of cases, we can use a locally run model.
The whole idea is to get you locked into a software ecosystem. They're also doing this with cars now. Next, companies will be pressuring you, the programmer, into one or another because the CEO has stocks in one of them.
@@WhyteHorse2023 this. local self-hosted open source models or nothing. I wont be a API rent slave.
This feels like a big ad. Sort of like sound plugin reviews, that eventually turn to marketers after they have a following
I love to see you do vdo about myshell next. Appreciate your efforts.
Need a tutorial for open voice for sure
Amazon Q apeared in november 2023, the only difference is that now went public
Can there be legal consequences for obtaining and utilizing the leaked/ripped Rabbit apk? Does the answer change much by jurisdiction in practice?
Yes please sir, love to see a tutorial for open source voice ai. Thank you.
Please do a voice clone tutorial. Also I'd like to see a reaction video of the entire altman interview. Thanks!
It wont replace you right now, today...because it CAN'T.
When its able to (in another year) it will.
Something that self optimizes and refines itself eventually will shoot past you.
I appreciate the effort made by these companies to try prolong the time in which developers are still..... well.... human. But I think the writing has been on the wall for quite some time. No company in their right mind will hire someone as a Dev when the right AI product comes along that makes us utterly obsolete. Somewhat ironically, the person who develops that app, will be the developer who puts all other developers including themselves..... out of work.
I feel so blessed actually, to be among the last batch of developers to actually understand code. Maybe that will be outdated soon too, like writing machine code, then assembler code, then higher and higher levels of abstraction. But now Devs will review code. When is the "don't need to actually review code anymore" coming ?
I think we're already there. It's just an iterative process of going back and forth with the LLM to get what you want coded. The upside is now you don't need a whole dev team to make a site like kickstarter, facebook, twitter, etc. But if you want to invent something new... like when bitcoin first came out... you're going to have to get your hands dirty.
Carpenters and painters still exist
Soon enoughâŠ
I wrote machine code on z80 processors. Why would we want to go back beyond having the capacity to dig in if really required or for kicks?
Want a video of You summarizing and commenting altman's talk, please
So I told llama 3 a variation of your benchmark: "how many words are in your next response?" (note, not "this prompt" which will trip up a machine, since it is not aware of what a prompt is, and is merely predicting the next word.)
with the instructions: "If you don't know the answer, just say that you don't know, don't try to make up an answer" - which it frequently does, it relied: "Sorry, I can't predict my response length."
what are you trying to say?
@@Marc-hn4eg that if you tell it not to lie, it won't
@@JustinArut it certainly is the type of prompt that could get preemptively answered... but didn't :D
I've also found the most common answer since using that prompt is "I don't know" - maybe the prompt needs work for the purpose of theorising
@@six1free If you ask it what does IDK mean? It also responds I don't know
1:20 or worse, the system might give you 1 to 1 code which has copyright on it which you can't copy/clashes with your own license/code !
My thought: the emergence of AI should serve to cause us to focus on human intelligence. All the hopes and fears surrounding AI also apply to HI. The future of the human species relies on the human belief system. The human belief system is based upon unsubstantiated opinion in many cases rather than being knowledge based. That is a problem.
maybe we need something like Github for HI. Like a way to trace belief systems since the beginning of thought and critical thinking. People review ideas like code..facts become verified. Kind of like X community reviews but with more structure..anyone feel like coding this up? I might have a go at it myself with all these new high level coders..
Now this is AI news, good Job
Simply do not understand the allure of the R1. It doesn't offer anything a smartphone can do and it's a phone. The idea of carrying 2 devices and having to keep 2 devices charged is a deal breaker.
please show us how to make openvoice V2 up dans running locally
What about Devid?
A note about the possibility to work from mobile: Australian companies are pushing for their employees to go back to work 5 days from the office but the rest of the world is ready to code over the phones.
Top companies around the world are pushing employees back into the office. And yes I am in Australia.
Do all the new installation videos, please.
I'm ready to sleep, already in my pajamas.

Tutorial on the voice clone open source please.
The rabbit needs to go to rabbit heaven already

What!! Rabbit got hacked before You gifted me with oneđ„¶
We want to see openvoice demo
please do a deepseek v2 testing, apparently they are better than llama3
I said it would be better as an app for the phone from the very beginning.
So many people said that about the Rabbit. But then the hypefollowers started foaming "you do not understand, it is LAM! That is ACTION model". To which most people just rolled eyes I guess.
when you say you still need to review the code, add at the end : For now.....
PhD level ai isn't a product, it's a partner
Please do a tutorial on open voice !!!! (And tips to deal with itâs consequences)
Na rabbit said we canât put this on an app it turns out they lied
"this" was referencing as-is, but what some people did was change it and adapt it to work. It's now "that", something based on r1's work adapted generic android ecosystem likely without the hardware specifics of r1. porting shouldn't have been too hard.
Let's see the voice cloning tutorial, please
Well, these tools won't replace programmers but make everybody a programmer, essentially replacing them. đ
Imagine the amazon Q is just several thousand asians coding for you.
Rabbit R1 sponsored!
if fewer people writing their own code, it becomes less creative copilot in future
I love open voice but itâs pretty scary when I cloned my own voice for my ai talking assistant.
Sam Altman talks in parables
I'd like a video on the voice generator from myshell please
If ai (an llm) understands english (or any language) send it to school and let it talk to teachers, scientist, programmers and any other intellectual people. And fhen teach it.
But thats easy for me to say, i have no idea gow all of this works. But it seems like a good idea. To me.
Stay tuned for more hilarious tech tales, and remember - in the world of Rabbit OS, expect the unexpected! đ©đ
"OpenVoice 2" tutorial please! #FeedTheAlgorithm
Is Sam Altman a Bot?
An "iterative approach" seems like he's stretching the definition given it's been what, 2 years since GPT4 came out??? Really, all that they've managed to do is add memory since then?
If sama want to know what the people want we just want what they promised to do, OPEN SOURCE.
How do I monetize the world's most powerful AI?
What an incredibly unenlightened question.
$200 for an app... good job nerd.
Well Devin got kinda debunked but since we can't test it yet it's kinda pointless to compare it.

"Let society tell us what it collectively wants from the technology" - Sama 15:12

Take a guess what Sama's lawyers would say to that?
Dude is grifter par excellance.
At least EM has engineering chops to try hard tech of energy.
Sama just rode the YC huckster wave.
Too early to comment!
So does this mean i can make a software and sell it đ„ș
When youâre an experienced programmer youâll find the easiest way to think about problems is by using the computer language youâre working with - I canât imagine trying to define a programme by using natural language - it would be kinda of like using âstructured Englishâ which was never detailed enough to define the nitty gritty. But youâll need experienced programmers to Shepard this stuff, and stop it writing a load of poor quality unmaintainable crap. I canât see it going down well in the serious coding community.
100%but once youâve thought through the solution why code it all when you can ask for it with everything defined and just edit the code
âunmaintainable crapâ Old school thinking if in future no human will ever again be in the position of maintaining code.
If youâre a coder youâll know that when you get into âthe flowâ, you are thinking and coding âas oneâ, you make decisions that will help you down the line, you known which parts of the code are going to be likely changed a lot, so you take care to make those parts easy to change. If you know, you know. My experience of coding assistants is they are only good for laying down boilerplate code - then they just get in the way with incorrect or bad suggestions that have to be read and disregarded - all spoiling âthe flowâ I mentioned.
@@tollington9414 now imagine compartmentalising all that in a modular system you can then upgrade with a prompt. I am a coder and ive gone from maybe 100,000 a year, to over 10million. my logic is still there I still feel the flow now, when walking too. ill chat to an AI about the problem walking doggo. get a spark send it to the system. when im home its waiting for me to demo! how is that not better? I still program myself but feels like wasted effort these days personally.
This really sums it up ⊠good for boiler code ⊠bad for anything it hasnât seen in the training set czcams.com/video/dDUC-LqVrPU/video.htmlsi=WeIqQPfAa-fm9J6U

"GPT-4 is the the "dumbest" AI model we'll ever use"
So it official they have something close to AGI .
And this is just one hinting quotes.
I'm not sure a better model, will implicitly mean "close to agi". Officially it's just a better model.
Or it's official GPT-4 is nowhere near AGI, which... yeah I'm gonna go with that one.
