  • Hello everyone!
I could not stay quiet after this! You can now buy spare batteries, controllers and motors straight from Future Motion regardless on where you are in the world!
This is an amazing day for everyone! Thank you ‪@Onewheel‬ for this change!
Onewheel is now an officially international brand.
Now that R2R is on the table. Which board will YOU get?

If only XR batteries/BMS/controller were there. I guess VESC is still the other option, dunno about getting battery packs shipped internationally from say Fungineers..

I did the math and if you want it all to be plug and play you need to spend around $1700 for the motor, battery, charger and vesc controller from Fungineers. That's without shipping and customs so as far as retail price goes, if you want to go VESC (plug n' play), Floatwheel and Fungineers are neck to neck. Depends on which platform you like better, XR or ADV.

@@p0rtugeek Yes I think I would need to figure out how to use the hypercore with the fungineers pieces to make it more tempting, hopefully not too complicated. I do love the XR with the WTF rails platform and I'm guessing the Floatwheel V2 will be $300-$500 more than V1.

@@froggerc625 They sell the male motor plug to be able to plug the hypercore to the controller box! I'm not sure how to do that though but we can always learn!

It's going to cost me a small fortune. Either pay an average $270 for three BMS's(all of questionable quality) or VESC these three boards that need repair. It's borderline criminal to not sell parts.

@@p0rtugeek That's great. I think the "XRV" kit from Tony/Floatwheel he chatted about today could be good too depending on $$.

    No BMS

You're correct! We can't but just the BMS for a lower cost than a whole battery module. Even so, at least the board would not be doomed forever. International riders sometimes are the only onewheelers in their area, having an option at all is wonderful.

nah we can Definitely talk about Why they did it, tf? they are tanking their credibility & good will in the community for Profit
& you cannot buy stock rails

How are they tanking it though? You can't be mad about any company not doing anything for profit. The goal of every company is to make profit. There are no onewheel charities giving out boards for stoke.

@p0rtugeek They're tanking it by being sue happy and having a choke hold on this sport's development. Its crazy how people can cheer them on for doing this but then ignore the ONLY reason its happening is because of competition from 3rd parties (that they're doing their damnest to keep down).
You only need to look at the history of snowboarding and what that first company that had a patent on boards to see whats going on here
