    We can use sidge smash on stack to stop opponent from responding in goblin combo. Split second is not stop us from activating skirk prospect we can get inf mana that way

      At this point any land I would agree in exchange of the test of the banned cards ☹️

  • @fel_95
    @fel_95 Před měsícem +1

    Siege Smash is ABSURD in Goblin combo and might even be played in the maindeck.
    Split Second means, once you resolved a First Day of Class, you can activate Prospector's mana ability to sacrifice Putrid and go off with infinite mana, while opponent CANNOT interact with it, neither removal or activating a relic.

    • @davidroyale14
      @davidroyale14  Před měsícem +1

      ah, this is what the other comment meant hahahaha

    • @davidroyale14
      @davidroyale14  Před měsícem +1

      The timing is a bit off though. That scenario you are describing means already having all your combo setup and your opponent interacting with it by killing the Prospector. Usually, at that point, a well-versed Moggwarts player already 1) has ways to return the Goblin to the field when killed and 2) Knows how to play around spot removal. This is a cute thing to do with the combo, but it's debatable if it's better than just another copy of Unearth.

    • @fel_95
      @fel_95 Před měsícem

      Also plays around killing Putrid before First Day's trigger nullify the -1-1 counter.
      @@davidroyale14 This allows you to play around removal and relic, it's quite huge.
      Resolving a First Day and THEN playing a goblin, opponent has no priority as you can put on the stack Siege right as the goblin enters the battlefield.

    Whats the best way to get the commons from mh3, without having to buy 2-3 boxes of cards?

    • @davidroyale14
      @davidroyale14  Před měsícem

      One box would do, but if you can and all you care about is pauper, attend a pre-release event, draft the set a couple of times, and exchange cards for the commons you need. Usually, limited events are great ways to get your hands on commons.

    no love for sneaky snacker?

    • @davidroyale14
      @davidroyale14  Před měsícem

      I think if you mill it with mental note and then use brainstorm is the best case scenario right?

    • @wiloj
      @wiloj Před měsícem +3

      @@davidroyale14 It seems better than that to me since you only need to draw 2. Brainstorm, LR, and even cards like deep analysis all make sure this thing doesn't stay dead not to mention other colors having cards like deadly dispute and faithless looting to trigger it as well since it sees the first card you draw for turn. I can imagine a sort of 'izzet phoenix' deck becoming a thing in pauper playing 4 terrors and 4 snacker in either UB or UR to play burn spells as well or possibly a gates mana base to pump the snacker.

    • @davidroyale14
      @davidroyale14  Před měsícem

      yeah, I can see those scenarios. However it's far from Phoenix unless you do it at instant speed at the end of your opponents turn and then you would be relying too much on brainstorm as it etb tapped. I like the ideas though, just would like to see where it falls better. Note that it won't work on draws fourth onwards.

      @benwierchowski3496 Před měsícem +2

      @@davidroyale14 if you have it in play and use corrupt conviction, village rites, deadly dispute, if gives you the card draw and essentially cancels out the sacrifice downside cuz it always comes back. you can do that at the end of your opponent’s turn and on your turn… drawing two cards for one man’s at instant speed is pretty good…

    this will be a controversial take: I think cranial ram is probably the most manageable version of this effect we have had due to it being an easier to remove permanent type than ATG, being red and hittable with BEB and Hydro, and not giving toughness to a creature. Is it still insanely good, yes, but I think it should be given a fair 2 ish month chance chance.
    Unrelated but I am personally very excited to see the WB blade decks get a new toy. I think the orzhov bounce control decks will be really fun to play and not super OP.

    • @davidroyale14
      @davidroyale14  Před měsícem +6

      I agree with giving it time, I just think it's inevitable? My main point thought, regardless of this particular card, is that what would then the trend be? Get an affinity payoff, ban it? 😅 because that is how it feels. I like the card otherwise, it's just sad it will go away same as it's predecessors

    • @wiloj
      @wiloj Před měsícem +3

      @davidroyale14 this is fair. I really like the lands being in pauper for the usual cop out reasons of wildfires and the not broken affinity cards still being good but I'm on the fence about it

    • @TeaAddict1
      @TeaAddict1 Před měsícem

      Yeah I agree and I've been telling people this and do they listen? Nooo. Also honestly the familiar is a bit too good... that value is insane. I'd say it's even worth banning it if either set of artifact lands got banned.
