Hearing that alarm nearly ruined my weekend
Hahahha
All part of having a job, yes?
😅
Me too fs fs
Comment of the year so far 😂 happy healing 🖤
Welcome to the grunt and groan show.
that alarm may give some people a ptsd
i have it and when my friend has it he says that
It already gave
At least it wasn’t over the horizon
The first time you hear it it's pretty chill but when you use it to wake up it is the worst chime ever made

you can go past 12,000 lbs on the steer as long as your tires are rated for it. Most states have a max weight higher than 12,000 on steers (typically between 16,000 and 20,000) but most companies teach that the max weight of steers are 12,000 lbs because after the max legal weight of 34,000 lbs on drives and trailer axle groups the max out of 80,000 lbs is 12,000 lbs for the steers. If your total weight is under 80,000 and both your axle groups are less than 34,000 each you can run your steers to either what your tires are rated for, or what the max legal steer weight is where you are going.
You can also add weight if you have a APU
I thought it was 12,500
Depends on what your tires and axles are rated for. I hardly ever move the 5th wheel.
Ive gone over scales at 14400 on the steers in washington, the tires and axles are rated for 14600 on my truck. all depends on what equipment and what state your in
You people are amazing
After a few years of watching you. I am know in trucking school and have my permit. Maybe one day ile see you in my travels. Keep it up Alex
Just remember trucking school teaches you how to pass the dmv test. Be sure to apply for companies that take new drivers, they will also test you there too
And never shake hands with over the road truck drivers cause you know what they're doing in the sleeper when nobody's watching.
That's another thing they don't talk about in trucking.
@@DrMidnight-oz1rk 😂 huh
@@bluemamba4239 beware what your team driver is doing in the sleeper when you're drinking behind your back.
Drivers should make the effort to take care of their business in the shower when they're away from the wife or girlfriend.🤔
@@DrMidnight-oz1rk okay my 1st time with a company my trainer was a weirdo 💯
Alex is great I’m also a truck driver and I love hearing his inputs on trucking.
“Alex noises trying to make it out of tight parking lot. Oh look a Burger King!”
Alex is so funny.
Haha that's why we love Alex!
Bro we Love your videos! Keep it up!
Love it when you post new stuff. You had some pretty funny moments in this one: your imitation of the engine growl, kicking the hand crank down with your foot when you had to slide the fifth wheel 😂and when you were sliding the tandems and "kenny" shook like crazy! Love your videos, man!! Keep doing what you do! 👍 Can't wait for the next one!
I’m glad my current truck doesn’t have a CB. Most truckers are toxic nowadays.
I know it was a pain but it was very interesting watching you balance your load.
As a bus driver in Europe I really appreciate you show us the other side of being a truck driver.
Be safe on the road!!!
Hey, I really like your profile picture and if you let me, I would make such an amazing mural out of it! If you don’t mind one of your post could be my inspiring muse for an art project i’m working on for a client. You will totally get paid for it as well as a bonus also get credits.
You came to my tiny little town in Michigan! I can't believe I missed you! :(
Great job 👏 👍
Hey Alex, and fellow truckers. I've been out of cdl school for over 3 years now, and I just wanted to say there's an easier way to move that fifth wheel. You don't have to keep cranking it until it unlocks. First part you did right, put the legs down, and keep cranking until you start to hear air out of your suspension. BUT, when you go back inside your truck to unlock your fifth wheel, drop your truck's air suspension also. Now there should be a gap between your fifth wheel and your trailer, and the big part of the kingpin should hold the fifth wheel somewhat in the air. saves a whole lot of time and a whole lot of cranking.
At my old job we used to coat a lot of castings from MTI and they’re eventually machined and used as truck parts for various parts of the truck and trailers.
Truckers do not have it easy. Much respect.
They monkey around in the sleeper at night.
Alex must be running low on supplies, I couldn’t see any apple juice in his truck … 🧃
You inspired me to get into jobcorps for trucking. So in about 4 to 6 months ill have mu cdl and be ready to drive for s company
This video is definitely peak Alex!
Alex you attempt to be very thorough at what you do so keep up the good safe attitude. We need more truckers on the road with your ethic, if we had there would be fewer catastrophic accidents.
didn't realize that was world wide technologies till i saw RKW
Gay turn? Going wide. Giggling. That's why I drive solo!
The reason he has a check engine light is because he has a paccar engine which is one of the worst engines for semi trucks right now
All modern truck engines are junk.
Should never have to move the fifth wheel Alex..only time is when you are super close to 80,000..been at it 16 years and think i did once..and if you have an apu you're allowed even more than that on the steers..with that gross amount you should be in the 6 -8 hole from the front..i can tell your tandems are back way too far
It's on the drives not steers the apu sits at the drives not the steers.... technically it's a grace between the steers and drives but mostly drives
@truckercowboyed2638 still could've just moved the tandems up with the weight he had on it..don't need to move the fifth wheel..he only had like 30,000 on the drives
His tandems are always so far back lol. Dude has no clue what’s going on
Need to find out if you truck steer tries are rated for 12,000 or 13,000 if you’re truck is rated for 13,000 for you steers you can haul 13,000 on your steers.
My KW T680 steers are rated for 13,000 and run that weight most of the time, because of my fuel tanks. By the way you might want to start pulling up to the speaker I. The Cat Scales also. The weight is correct that far back.
I appreciate your videos and the insight and entertainment you provide to us normies ✌️
Hey ALEX, I just watched your video from last year about your Bday 🎂 and noticed that tomorrow is your birthday if I'm not mistaken, So Happy Birthday in advance, and thank you for your service man 🤝🏻🎉🎉🎉
Your steers were legal, truck is rated for 12500 pounds all states allow 20k
Another good video!
What’s with the quarter curtain on the window?
The only thing I can't understand is: Shouldn't you take that serious when you have a "CHECK ENGINE" light?
When your a company driver 😂 hell nah probably something emissions related. If it rolls and stops then your golden. Now owning my truck, it's a instant aw dam here we go
@@scottmcmanis3121real 😂 like ain’t wanna go yo damn terminal or truck stop if it moves am good
@@ngabotuyishime7075😂😂😂EVENTUALLY you’ll roll into the terminal to get it looked at but in the mean time keep rolling

The bigger the gap the smoother the ride. Move it back before you back up to the dock.
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
🔥🔥Have a Beautiful Saturday🔥🔥
"Check engine" light on, what's up with Kenny?
Oh god that's the same alarm my grandma had
Most states will give you 13k on your steers
Check engine light is on my boy
Would having certifiable movable scales be more efficient so while you’re there loading up and don’t want to split the load you get the people that loaded it to reposition it?
A lot of manufacturers offer it built in to the truck and trailer that comes up as a display for each axle as well as the combined weight of everything
Saturday May 11th, 2024. I’m from Louisville Kentucky. Saw a GP TransCo truck merging from I-65 north onto I-264 east today around 2:30 pm. Would that have been you????
Im subbed :D btw hi from sweden
If you know how to plan your trip, you don't have to do that. Stay in a truck, stop . I do not stay at customers overnight.
Hey, what brand is that safety jacket you’re always wearing I like that where’d you get it from?

Same alarm I have. Startled me.
I have a trump alarm

You run out of air because you pull both brakes knobs out 😭 wish you would just read some comments man
Oof I sound so weird on the phone haha oh well nice to be on this video alex buddy!!
not them talkin shit on the CB at 7:54 "oh he's already screwed it up"🤣
😂😂😂
nashville tn traffic sucks it reminds me of california, yikes
I never have to move my fifth wheel.
That is not true.Your steer tires Every state is different.
You should film like 30 mins of u just driving on the highway
So the steer weight limit. Is it 12000 in all states? My company told me our trucks are rated for 13,200 so I never have to mess with my 5th wheel.
Certain tires can hold more, just look on the wall of the tire
It’s 20k in all states, but it comes down to your trucks steers weight limit
I used to carry a piece of chalk in my toolbox to mark whete the 5th wheel pins need to be, i hauled 50,000lbs of milk in tanker, i feels for ya Alex...❤❤~Stargazer~
You don’t have to worry about being over 12k on the steers as long as you are good on gross weight. Ive been well over 13k many times and under gross, they don’t do a thing.
You got the same one I have. 😅
What's up with all the moisturizers?
make-up removal...
Smart guy with big brains is the reason so many people gets into trucking to do CZcams.
Your videos are good tbh however, it's undeniable that this did influence 99% of the current industry flood, with (CZcams truckers)
The truth is, This job is not to be glamorized the way it's been done and it’s definitely not for everyone.
But on the other hand, which Human really care about how what they do affects the world? which goes to show why we here 😅
did he know that his check engine light was on
I keep two bottle of water/dish bowl and bring several wash clothes. Body Wash/Face Wash a must. I keep a wet wash cloth during my drive nearby on the passenger arm rest to wash my face. Morning/Daily/Nightly routine.
So here's the thing about your steer tire weights, 12,500 is the standard for your front steers, however u can go heavier if your tires are rated for it. Get out and check your tires sidewalls for max weight ratings, I believe you can have it upto 14,500 with most tires companies use.
Completely legal you just have to remember that ur max gross of 80,000 lbs doesn't change so u can't have 34,000 on both sets of axles of ur at 14500 on ur steers
Baby wipes are your friend when on the truck
Hi Alex, wo you know why your Check Engine light is on
Alex you can run 12,500 on your steers dot will not flag you for that they just really care about your trailer axles n drives
Retired four years now. Its fun to watch you go through all the daliy trials and tribulations on the road. I want to say i miss driving but .... NOT. Lol

Can you show a link of how to get a job
Go to his shots one of them will say it
That is not a check engine light.......... right........?
The amber one is generally for emissions related items on the newer trks. If you get a red engine icon (or the 'stop' light), then you have problems. Try doing a parked regen. Sometimes that will shut it off but, sometimes you'll actually have to hook it up to clear the codes.
Brand new truck, and already throwing CEL's lol. New trucks are just "so reliable" apparently.

Maybe he’s busy working. If you guys need some friends I suggest doing so on another platform other than CZcams 😢
This job is the easiest job I ever had as an OTR. I used to be a commercial fisherman in Alaska for 10 years on the Bering seat and this stuff is way easier. The only complaint I have is the lack of time I have at home cuz at least when I was fishing. I got 4 months on 20-hour days and 2 months off but the work itself is easy. About 95% of it is easy. Yeah, you'll give him some rough spots in like Chicago and stuff but that's only a small portion of your day
You have 600lbs allowance you can be over you get it for your apu
And it’s already daylight cmon you missing the best part. Get up early
Legit noob question...What are you allowed to do if you are literally so tired that it's dangerous for you to be on the road. Like to the point you don't trust yourself behind the wheel
You take a nap.
so you don't get in trouble with your company? So there's some leeway there? Like a mutual understanding of human conditions between employer and driver?@@tmo.48
