P&O Azura cruise vlog .... #4 Kotor Montenegro

- It began with a very early start , as I had been told not to miss the arrival into Kotor . It was very much worth the early alarm call as Azura neared the spot where she would drop her anchors .
Spectacular scenery and fantastic views greeted us , also the sun was shining and the sea was flat and like a mirror. It was a pleasure to be sitting on our balcony with a cup of tea taking it all in .
This was to be a tender port ,which offered even more opportunities to sample the stunning scenery . It also managed to conjure up a few problems for us ,If you watch the video you will understand .
For us it was a twenty to thirty minute ride into Kotor . Don't sit right at the front if the window is open , as you end up rather soggy . Luckily it was a hot sunny day so we didn't mind .
Kotor was beautiful lots of history , bars , shops and a walled fortification that you could walk around . Not quite as on par with Dubrovnik but a really nice and enjoyable walk . We stopped for Coffee . then an ice cream that you must try . Finally we found a small bar and sat and had a couple of drinks and people watched.
When it was time to head back to Azura we joined the queue for the tender boat . We waited about 20 minutes , which was fine .
Once back onboard we sat on our balcony and enjoyed watching the rest of the passengers coming back to the ship . With a glass or two of course .
That evening we had our dinner in the MDR , then headed back outside to watch the amazing sunset , and we were lucky enough to spot our first dolphins of this cruise . A fantastic port to visit and one that we would love to return .

Oh the joys of Tenders. I once had to queue at 6AM to get hold of family tickets for a Tender at 8AM. I fondly remember Kotor where taxi men were harassing us along the harbor walk.
😂😂 that was an early start for you . It could only happen to us 😂 thinking we were queuing for breakfast. What a sail in as we arrived in Kotor , one of our best I think . We didn’t have taxi drivers pestering us only a few people trying to sell us some excursions.👋
What a lovely place. Very small and quaint., love your necklace Pearl it reminded me of the heart of the ocean from Titanic 😊

Brian, you did a fantastic job filming your arrival! I so enjoyed that. I know you must have been aggravated, but you saw so much, and seemed to enjoy it. Thank you so much for showing all the spataculor scene. Hope all is well. We did finally get a little rain this morning, and I'm grateful. Didn't cool it off much, but it is summer. I'm excited about next week, and I hope your trip on the Queen Mary is going to be as wonderful as the two I saw recently. Pearl will love dressing for dinner. She has beautiful clothes. Evening Rene , thank you glad you enjoyed the footage of sailing into Kotor . We certainly did enjoy it , such a beautiful place. We are all fine thank you , it’s getting a bit hotter now ,in the high twenties . We know it’s nothing like the temperatures that you have to deal with. We enjoyed the QM2 very much , it was only for three nights but it made for a great experience.
Yes it’s Pearls highlight of any cruise, getting dressed for dinner. Hope you and your family are all well, and that you are not suffering too much from the heat . Kotor looks like a definite one for the list and again looked like a nice stop off for a drink or 2 😉

What a pair of plonkers we literally had no idea it was for tickets for the tender . All we were doing was moaning that they were taking so long to open the restaurant.😫 Kotor itself was beautiful, we had heard good things but it was even better. Morning folks ,,, bellies before brain, lol , we went to Kotor last year with Marella but the ship docked so didn’t have the upheaval of the tender. True it is a beautiful place if memory serves me right we went on a glass bottom submarine,, which was a boat , once again you gave us a chuckle , I’m off to work now , look after the pink salmon, spawning season is upon us , have a great week. Fabulous sail into Kotor, Montenegro, absolutely stunning 😍 Kotor is very pretty loved you showing us around. Could definitely stay there a few days to soak it all in. Got to be the prettiest tender boat ride ever. You captured some amazing footage and even some dolphin wildlife. Your tender ticket breakfast story has had me crying with laughter 😂 Loved this episode ❤
Thanks Guys , it really was a magical sail in , absolutely stunning views where ever you looked . Although we made a right pigs ear of breakfast and getting the tender boat , it was worth it in the end . You certainly get the chance of some different views on a tender. Nice place..Hope you had a "Tender" breakfast. We did similar once, lined up for an hour for tender tickets...I had number one, felt smug until they called out 1-50 can go now...🤨.. I think your ice cream was smaller, unless you ate more before filming..
