  • This video is part 1 of my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 scrambler build. In this video I am installing front LED turn signals. In order to make the bike a scrambler it will have to be completely modified. I really want the bike to have a custom look so I decided to use bar end turn signals but I mounted them in the same location as the stock indicators. I did not need any resistors or relays for them to work correctly. In my previous video I installed an LED headlight. The headlight modification and the turn signal upgrade is good for touring. I will do more touring modifications later in the build. I would like to start racing the bike so I’m going to do a few mods to improve performance. The bike is a new 2022 model Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. The color is called orange crush. This bike has amazing build quality and it’s a great foundation for a custom scrambler build. In my next video I’m going to do a handlebar change and I’ll show other upgrades as the project goes on. I’m going to install S&S high compression pistons, an S&S high performance camshaft, and S&S forged connecting rods. This should really improve the performance of my Interceptor 650. I decided to upgrade the suspension with the YSS front fork upgrade kit, and YSS coil-over shocks in the back. I am also installing a scrambler rear fender and a comfort seat. I will decide what I’m doing with the wheels and tires as the scrambler build progresses. I will eventually change the exhaust on the bike too. I really like this! I've got a continental, was thinking about getting these to put on the bars themselves but am skeeved about drilling through my bars and doing all that wiring... This is a great solution! Another reason I'm skeptical to put them up on the bars is because it ultimately makes a need to replace the headlight bracket unless you leave it looking partially disrepaired. Thanks

    Thinking about getting this bike and reviewing different videos on CZcams. I found your channel and just binged almost all your videos. Great stuff on mods and maintenance. Love how thorough you are. Keep it up and thanks for your time doing this.

    Very cool. Have you had thoughts of working a second pair in to the back?

    Nice job and video! Where you bought the connector for the new turn signals? Thanks!

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  Před rokem

      @JOSCAJU I didn't use any connectors, they're soldered in. You can use the stock connector but you have to put it on after the signal is mounted because the connector is too big to go through the mounting nut. Thanks for watching.

    Greetings! A few weeks ago I bought an Interceptor, which is my first bike as week, however I don't have the advantage of off-road experience. What a lovely machine. I am curious, did you also fit the same signals to the rear? Also, because these shine 360 degrees, are the front signals blinding or disturbing to your vision? Thanks!

      @August Newkirk Thanks for the comment. Congrats on the new bike. Super stoked for you. I have not changed the signals on the rear yet. I might use the same signals when I do but I have a few parts I want to get on the bike first. Mainly the new taillight and scrambler rear fender. That will give me a better idea of what I'm looking for. The turn signals actually don't have lights all the way around. There is 1 small LED in the front and 1 in the back. So, Yes if you have the light angled wrong, like I did at first, it can be a bit disturbing (blinding). I angled them down lower and they shine on the tank (Not my face). They don't bother me at all now. I really like them so far. Thanks again for the comment and thanks for watching.

    Is the soldering necessary? Cause I don't have a soldering gun....The signals look fantastic on this bike!

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  Před rokem

      @Michelle Friend No, soldering is not necessary. Simple wire connectors will work just fine (crimp or twist). I'm super happy with the way it turned out. As always, thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

    Can you demonstrate soldering or is there an easier method?

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  Před rokem

      @radchills I would honestly just use some crimp on connectors. Put some heat shrink over the connectors to dress them up if you want to. The connectors will work just as good as the solder joint. Thanks for watching.

    Hello I change the turn signals with led lights and its works with the original relay but when I put the led relay its work too fast, i dont know if its ok

      @my-enfield612  Před 11 měsíci +1

      @daniellopez2917 Thanks for the comment. You're right, the front signals work with the original relay. But, if you change both front and rear signals you will probably need the led relay. Put the original relay back in for now. Thanks for watching .

    hi there, isn't there a new relay for the indicator necessary, since its led? thx

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  Před rokem +1

      @ Toni Padua Thanks for the comment. It will depend on the LED you use. With these LEDs up front and stock signals in back, the flasher speed is normal. But, with LED's in front and back, the flash was way too fast. So, I did get a LED flasher relay from Hitchcocks. You can see how I install it here. czcams.com/video/XAg1PiE0Ctk/video.html Thanks again for the comment and thanks for watching.

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  Před rokem

      @Marcelo The old signal is the stock signal. I don't have that part number. The new signals are Motogadget m-Blaze Disc Bar End LED Turn Signals. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

    you only changed the front turn signals? shouldn't the rear ones be changed so they match?
