Love it man! A cornerstone of the community, this guy!
Falcon... I've been playing it since the beginning of the 90s and after every long break I have to learn the systems again :D Luckily I still have all of my FALCON big boxes (1 - 4) with a total of over 1000 pages of manual :D.
Very useful video! On point. Definitely sharing this with all the future BMS simmers I’m trying to get in the community 🙌
Happy New Year !
Exactly what I was lookingbfor
love it good job
Should be worth updating that BMS has updated to include a full-fidelity F-15C cockpit. It feels a lot better to fly than the F-15C Flaming Cliffs 3 module for DCS World, but obviously DCS World is going to look a whole lot better. If you're interested in flying the F-15C, this is worth looking into. It's also only $8 when not on sale; flight simmers are missing out if you're not at least checking this out.
Definitely a great sim, I haven't played it for a few years but its still on one of my HDs
It has been my main sim for a while. Make sure before you play you update it there have been quite a few over the years.
@@AviationPlus will do probably update it today
Yes!!!
Search for Falcon BMS HiRes mod. The cockpit is fantastic!
Thanks for taking the time to do this, and maybe get some new users comfortable with stepping up to this simulator. The $6.99 they spend on Falcon 4.0 will be the best buy of their simulator lifetime.. The true dynamic campaign alone in single and multiplayer is still untouched by any other simulator, and the upcoming 4.38 graphics will bring it up to modern graphic standards.
Is there infantry BTR’s or nuke silos?
There are tanks, BTRs, and people on the ground but it is hard to see them. Not quite nuke silos but there are SCUD missiles trucks you can target,
Soooo...TLDR; RTFM?
No TLDR; You get out the same amount of effort you put in.
What is tldr and rtfm???
TLDR: Too Long Didn't Read
RTFM: Read the F***ing Manual
I recently tried to load Falcon 4.0 dvd onto Windows 10. Wasn't a complete shock that it doesn't work. But hey, I still have that big ole manual that comes in the 3 ring binder. That might come in handy.
5$ on steam now
What about the Mirage 2000 I was intrested in that
This is needed. I want to fly F-15C. Need a single installer
There is one
i like how DCS community and some of the falcon bms community fights abouıt reality and simulation rightness even thou here i am, shit at both but still excited about everything about aviation
hello! today something weird happened to me in a bms mission.
I was doing BARCAP, i orbited around 30 minutes my last waypoint waiting for an enemy plane when a 21 appeared on the rwr, so i knew that it was a MiG 21 and locked onto it, and asked AWACS and it confirmed me that it was hostile, i ended up shooting down 2 planes that the AWACS listed as "bandit" but when i landed it said that i shot down a f16c and an A10. Can the AWACS give wrong info? or what could have happened?
When you declared the 16 and A10 might have been in the way or in a furball making the missile accidentally go after them. Did you shoot in STT and did you support the missile all the way to pitbull?
@@AviationPlus oh i think that is the problem, i shot it in stt since i dont know how to use other modes properly, but i think the moment i shot it i evaded since i got a missile warning.
Thanks for helping!
Is it possible to fly planes like Sukhois and Mirages? I wish there was this option even if the avionics are from the F16.
You can and yes they will be avionics of an F16 but some have the cockpit layout of the respective jet.
@@AviationPlus Interesting. Thanks!
@@WillianBRASIL BMS is for the F16. Everything else is 1000 times worse than the F16. Yes you can fly some stuff, but mostly nobody does - BMS is for the F16 and for the F16 only. And for its dynamic campaign too.
@@-_Nuke_- I understood. Thanks for the answer bro!
@@WillianBRASIL try DCS
Hi! Do you have a guide on how to control AI wingman effectively?
I don't but make sure you check out the BMS-Comms-Nav-Book page 35 explaining what all of the commands do.
Just saw this.. I fly a harrier in msfs. And acording to BMS I can fly the harrier in the sim as well. Do I have to unlock it through game progression or can fly it from start...
You can fly it from the start. Aircraft progression is something you don't have to worry about. The systems are not as detailed as some of the other aircraft it is basically and F16 when it comes to avionics.
@@AviationPlus wow thanks for the quick reply. Will you be doing any future training vids
@@nigelmorris4769 I already have hundreds on the channel are you looking for something in particular? Probably not regarding the Harrier.
@@AviationPlus was looking at basic flight first then the training missions from the manuel
havent played since the 90s damn back at it since retired
It's a totally different game.
@@AviationPlus it was a learning curve back then i hope it's challenging and haven't been watered down
@@kendyl814 It has not been watered down by any stretch of the imagination.
Does hotas t16000 work in it and do I have to download something else?
The controller will work but you probably won't have enough buttons to have a full HOTAS setup. No you don't have to download anything else.
@@AviationPlus Thanks for the information
How many Full Fidelity jets are there in FBMS? Is it literally only the F16?
There is the F-16 which is the highest amount of detail and recently there is the F-15C that is full fidelity just a few things that are not implemented yet.
There are other jets but they are very basic but have their respective pit like the F-18 AV8 and F-4.
The F-16 and the F-15 are the two best jets to use. The next best is the Hornet and the Harrier. Then after that is the M2000.
F16. That's it.
Sadly, there is no F-16D with fully functional back seat
Ya but the front seat is functional.
Is there any known release date for 4.38?
There is not a known date of release.
I Got Lost On The Last Update. Go Here, DL This, And Run That. Whatever Happened To Just One DL Or Automatic Updates
It has never been like that. However it is much more simpler right. Open up the launcher and click on the update icon.
never read manuel been flight sim 15yr
Flying friend or vfs team tech each other is best
15 years ago I started with the PMDG 737 and the manuals were the first place I went. Same goes for now with the F-16 and anything else that I fly. Your friends and team all get the information from the same manuals. Also enjjpt is not the place where people say they never read the manual.
Manuel 🤣🤣🤣
Hi.
Hello there
I wonder why poeple say that bms is the most accurate f16 sim
It is and it's too much to explain here in a comment.
@@AviationPlus may be you can make a video on that topic. I am not an expert but i feel the flight model in bms is a bit more simple than the dcs one.

Until they allow for modifier keys there is absolutely no way I can play it with the shitty HOTAS One I have. You literally need an F-16 HOTAS to play this game.
You can add a shift to double your button actions but yes a proper HOTAS is recommended.
The number of video tutorials and beginner-friendly guides for DCS is a symptom of poor documentation. 😉
That said, there's been an explosive growth in the amount of BMS content since 4.37 was released.
It may be poor documentation but I'm going to tell you that there are many people in this world, me included, that learns much better with Hands-On and can see pictures and stuff like that as opposed to just reading a book and then trying to fly the aircraft after reading about it. Some people learn much better without all the reading. I love reading and I read well I just don't learn how to do things well by just reading a book and then trying to do it I'm much better with Hands-On I can learn instantly
Neither can be replaced by the other so both must be used. However, videos will never be as detailed as documentation without literally following the documentation anyway. The issue is that most people would rather watch 5 two minute videos with bits and pieces of information than a 1 ten minute video that covers everything.
No, it's a symptom of customer care. Since BMS is for enthusiasts by enthusiasts, there are no 'customers' and, as such, we have what we have. DCS ingame scripted tutorials do the job of getting a man that's somewhat competent in the air very decently. And if that man later wants to improve upon that basic level of competence, there is thorough documentation to do so.
It's the best way to engage, since people don't need to do a read up just to start their engine and align their instruments -- their 'emulated IP' tells them how to do all that in the process while they are already playing. And that is fun, which is known to engage people (reading technical documentation, on the other hand, is not fun and engaging for total most).
For BMS, often the best way to learn something is not reading the documentation (often without any idea of what should you even look for), but looking for video manual from a player, which would act as an aforementioned emulated IP ersatz. He will do this job worse than a dedicated one, you will lose significantly more time, you will not be playing a game during this time -- but it's still the better way. Again, when you need to figure out some details not mentioned in the video -- at least you'll know what you'll be looking for.
All in all, I hope BMS will sooner or later support those tutorial features with cockpit scripts, control highlighting and all that, and people who are good enough with this will do series of similar tutorials. It will only help the project and the community.
@@ShadeAKAhayate Either way the effort put in is directly depended on the results coming out for a player. In BMS more effort is needed.
@@AviationPlus Sorry, come again? I'm not sure if I get this right...
This is not a game, it's a simulation you can't jump in and "blow stuff up." The F-16 is easy to fly around the flagpole but using it as a weapons system is another matter, not to mention landing it. You will die a million times and not understand why, you will get frustrated why you can't lock on, fire missiles, or drop bombs. Like the video said read up and watch videos. Full disclosure the simulation is too much for my tiny brain I only play the furball scenarios. I'll too lazy to put in the time and effort to learn all the systems to become a true sim pilot warrior. Also, without a modern HOTAS it's very hard to remember what does what. Damn now I have to get back in the simulation and learn this stuff. Liked and subscribed.
No offence but you are wrong about the planes you can fly in BMS, You can fly the F18, F15C, Harrier, Mirage 2000 and of course the Viper
I stated the Eagle and hornet have a good cockpit and are better than the others. The harrier and Mirage use viper avionics. You can technically fly a Flanker but it will be a viper pit.
Instructions unclear, ejected while taxiing.
Well don't do that
nah dcs is definetely the most realistic
DCS looks better, is the more casual gaming experience. But in terms of ultimate fidelity, realism, depth, and especially the virtual real world campaigns, F4 BMS is absolutley unmatched.
