Never thought we'd see John back in the band but even more than that I never thought we'd see him at an awards show and genuinely happy to be there. Seems like he's maybe the happiest and most comfortable he's ever been. All the boys are looking great, happy and healthy. Long may it continue

If you actually knew John at all you'd know he isn't comfortable speaking in front of crowds like this and does what he does for the sake of music, not praise or recognition. Congrats to RHCP for winning for Best Rock (Black Summer) and the Global Icon Award. Ever since I heard their song Under The Bridge on the radio in 2019 I believe, I became a huge fan. Also, it’s good to have John returning in the band, and I love the way he smiled😃 and seated a nice solid white button up shirt rather than a plaid flannel one

John brought this band back to life with their latest album Unlimited Love. Absolutely phenomenal guitar player and his backing vocals are iconic as well.

I'd agree with you about the guitar playing but his vocals really aren't that good. Some of his solo stuff's excruciating purely because his vocals aren't anywhere near in tune

So pleased for them too, they look so healthy and happy, I saw them live a few months ago in London and it was one of the best gigs ever, they still have a few shows left of their world tour, the've completed the European leg and have 7 or 8 left in North America iirc, so if you're in America you still have a chance to see them live!
Oh and they also head to Australia on tour (if by chance you're from there) in the new year at some point for about a month!! I'm really hoping they tour a bit more in Europe for the other new album thats coming in October, really want to see them again.

I think it's inspirational that they share their stories so their fans can see that there is help and hope for all of us regardless of who you are or what you have, it's really all about the people in your life and I wish John ALL THE BEST

RHCP has been my fav band throughout the years and Black Summer just doesn’t do it for me.
It does for me and others even more so, it's a shame it doesn't for you and live it's actually incredible, better than the album version. Whatchu Thinkin', The Heavy Wing, It's Only Natural & White Braids are often cited as the better actual album tracks and I agree with that.

Uma mulher que não conheço, depois Rick Rubin (produtor famoso), alguém importante da Warner (gravadora), agradeceu ao Chad (Flea falou um monte de palavrão pra ressaltar o quanto ele é foda e o som no vídeo ficou mudo), aí no final ele só comentou que se divertiram gravando Black Summer, que John levou uma mulher lá que não conheço nos ensaios e foi lindo. Basicamente isso (estranhamente eles não agradeceram ao Frusciante).

Anthony largely knows about John's uncomfortability being onstage and not playing. Even you can see Chad pointing to John after AK thanks Smith, like preparring for a huge thanks to Frusciante. But Anthony, with all the intention, preferred to mention and honored John telling he was the mastermind behind Black Summer instead of putting the whole spotlight on him. We can see they truly love and care for each other.
