This movie was filmed in 2008. The first successful I transplant was in 2023. But the eye does not work that was transplanted. We haven't made it that far in medical technology. It took 140 surgeons just to move one eye that doesn't even work.
I read that in the film he donates his corneas which is possible and has been for years. But the eye color change is weird and suggests he donated his eyeballs which, as you suggested, is not possible if you want vision. If you cut the optic nerve to take the eye out then you can’t reattach it and have it function. I haven’t seen the film so maybe I’m wrong about what they say is donated in it.
Context with no spoilers: The black man insulted the blind man to see if he was a good person, worthy of receiving the ability to see. Spoilers below! The movie is "7 pounds", after causing an accident that killed 7 people, Will Smith tries to make up for it by saving or improving 7 lives. After donating an organ to his brother, he chooses 6 more people that will receive his organs when he dies, and at the end of the movie he kills himself to have his organs or tissues be donated. The blind guy here receives his retinas iirc, giving him back his vision.
Correction he helps most of them when he's alive, doing live donations, one isn't an organ but he gives his home to an abused woman and her children. However the last 2 Ezra and Emily he can't help unless he's dead as Emily needs a new heart and Ezra needs a cornea transplant. They are the last 2 he helps after death

I won’t say any spoilers, but Will Smith takes a bath with his venomous jelly fish, and the. donates his organs to people who need them. The blind guy gets his eyes. It doesn’t really make sense since the venom would most likely affect all of his organs.

This movie changed my life for the better. To bad Hollywood went down hill and things will never be the same.
.... What are you talking about!!!???
Hollywood didn't "suddenly" go downhill!!! Hollywood has always been downhill and evil!!! You and the rest of humanity have just finally started to wake up from our brainwashing to realize the immense evil hiding there under the glitter and glamour in the shadows all the whole time!!! One Universal Law is that evil has to tell us it's agen!!! Humanity has been kept in the dark about that, and have mistaken what they were revealing as nothing but fiction, great imagination!! Unfortunately, humanity has been very, very innocent and wrong!!!
Learn to separate the actor from the character and Hollywood would appear as it is, just a place filled with all kinds of people with some amazing talent...
Opposite reaction. I despise this film

@@emmeirrt last voyage of the Demeter I think
For any confused.
Will's character caused an accident that killed 7 people.
He now is finding 7 people and testing them to see wife they're truly good people.
He then commits suicide with the jelly fish in the background tank, and has specific instructions for which organs go to which people, to help improve their lives/help them recover.
thanks for spoiling it for everyone 😉
Why would you be going thru comments about a film with no context, and then complain about spoilers? Just wanted to complain today?@@bm-ub6zc
@@bm-ub6zcCry about it
@@bm-ub6zcThat’s literally the plot of the movie. How is that a spoiler. That’s like saying Peter Parker being bit by a spider is a spoiler
@@ceo_babyplum._.5485 but the movie unfolds it in the end like a big reveal. if you know the info in advance, it kind of ruins the movie. i was guessing, why Will wass doing all that stuff
Woody Harrelson is such a great actor. He smiles thinking Ben is breaking the ice and then his smile fades when he realizes he was being insulted and laughed at. Absolutely love how he shows this complexity.
Will, your line was "Hello sir, Im interested in what you sell"
Sir your line was: "I would like to have some steak delivered"
Will Smith played his true self very well
7 pounds was so underrated, good Fkn movie. Will and Rosario have such great chemistry 🧪🔥🔥🔥
“Sir your line was damn ill take 2 ribeyes”💀
The end always gets me 🥹
This was genuinely the most beautiful movie I have ever seen, absolutely broke me and made me smile all at the same time
agreed its amazing
Man Seven pounds will always be one of Wills best movies. Saw it as a kid and it hit so damn hard.
Everyone does things they really regret,,Mr Smith is just as human as the rest of us...and is a very good actor and musician

Good Lord.
It doesn't go "way beyond being human".
I think you're making a HUGE DEAL out of something that wasn't THAT big a thing.
This is literally my favorite movie, glad to see others loving it
Smith played that roll quite naturally I imagine lol
If you listen closely you can hear that this movie slaps

This is amazing love the story
One of those times when Hollywood peaked ! These are movies that defines humanity.
Dide, this film is shit. It only defines humanity’s awfulness, as the movie’s message glorifies suicide
It really sucks that all that shit went down with Will Smith because I used to love his movies and now I literally can’t watch them.
Why not though, I thought his only drama was that slap🤔 or there many more?
@@zir456 That slap just showed a very week side to him and his movies portray him as a strong character... That's how his wife treats him irl... Facts
That was some legitimate, top tier, heartbreaking acting from Woody. It was so smooth you almost missed it. So much was conveyed there.
I won’t say any spoilers, but Will Smith takes a bath with his venomous jelly fish, and the. donates his organs to people who need them. The blind guy gets his eyes.
It doesn’t really make sense since the venom would most likely affect all of his organs.
Just gotta suspend disbelief a little. In the movie, the jellyfish has a neurotoxin which causes minimal tissue damage. Yeah its not how any real jellyfish toxins work but yknow, its the fantasy of the script so just roll with it
I've already seen the movie, but that is a huge spoiler

everyone makes mistakes, yet somehow people still expect celebrities to be perfect.
We got Cletus Kasady over here 😂😂😂😂
I bet he is like this in real life.
Ask Chris Rock
Hush
I don't understand why so many people disrespect Will Smith when what he did to that pseudo-comedian was nothing less than stand up for his wife. That nasty "comedian" thought humiliating Will's wife, no matter what you may think of her, would be funny. It was not "funny." It was cruel.
I respect Will Smith for what he did. In fact, I think a slap was just enough to get his point across, though, I think the other guy deserved a more intense lesson.
God bless you. Any husband need and should stand up for their wives.

When this movie first came out, a good friend of mine, a real stoic/solemn fella, told me he cried like a baby watching this film. I love movies that break your heart and mend it all together in the end, it's quite the feat.
“Uh Mr. Smith do you think you could ‘freestyle’ those lines for us please?”
my favorite part of the movie is when he donates his palm to chris rock's face, all out of the hatred of his heart

It's easy for Will to play these parts because that is how Jada talks to him at home.
