I don't think they will relase Athos as a legendary, i'm sure they'll give him the mythic treatment.

My guess is that Emblem Corrin will receive Yato since she can't turn into a full dragon in Engage.
Yeah, I'm honestly sick of this dragonstone saturation, especially since that wasn't the fun aspect of Corrin's gameplay.
I assume because they're pretty much the only Dragonstone Lords besides Alear and every other Lord is almost always a Swordie. They probably feel like it's more unique.

This is so true but what mythic? Light, anima, or astra?
In FE7 he had the Aureola S light spell and the Forceblaze S anima spell, so if they give him the legendary/mythic treatment it should be Light or Anima, but after Nergal's release I fear he will be a normal red or gray unit in a banner with Wallace, Renault and Marcus.
Nah, I think he fits more as a legendary tbh, maybe even an ascended hero too.
But at this point I don't care what they make him, I just want him in lol

I’m glad it was M!Corrin since he deserves it for getting baited out of a legendary alt for 4 years. That PRF special is insane, it’s like E!Ike’s levels of wall text. Although, I’m really disappointed he didn’t come with Blazing Yato and I.S. gave us yet another legendary omnitank dragon, which I’m honestly starting to get annoyed by.
Also, Athos is more Mythic material than Legendary, but seeing as how Nergal got into the game as a fallen unit, I don’t have any high hopes for him being a Legendary or Mythic hero. Very worst case scenario is that he ends up as a colourless demote or a GHB unit but with no prf

Not sadge at all, as a main character, this guy has long been waiting in priority for his legendary version since the legendaries were a thing, even his female counterpart got her refine before this. Also we finally have the Hoshidian outfit.
Funnily enough, on the New Year's banner video I mentioned stockpiling orbs for Legendary M!Corrin or Ike's next alt and swore that one or the other had to happen this year, always jokingly, so def surprised that both have now happened. I didn't even read M!Corrin's skills, it's an instant summon 😂
I think the only thing that I was hoping for was for L!M Alear to return as well. Still this banner is hella fire.
The Dr in his special is probably unpiercable. I just assume dr in a special is unpiercable so long as they don’t clarify it

As some others have said I think Athos would make more sense as a mythic hero like his fellow heroes of Elibe Bramimond and Elimine (and maybe even Roland and Durban in the future).
If IS is now doing a legendary, emblem, mythic pattern with these banners then Athos could be the mythic in July as he would work as either a colourless tome or staff as he had access to all magic weapons in FE7 and the colourless pool in July is currently the strongest by miles as he’d be sharing with the first reruns of legendary M. Alear and mythic Loki.

I honestly can't complain, I've been waiting for M!Corrin for such a long time, he's a sweetheart (and Cam Clarke's voice acting really helps convey that). I'm sure Athos will be a Mythic Hero.
I like that it was Corrin, but I'm mad that he's a Dragon unit and not a Sword infantry. I have been waiting 6 years for a new gen Yato alt to see what kind of support Corrin could provide, but no, just another dragon unit...
He is good, though, both as a unit and as fodder, and the art is decent too.

Why no Yato IS
For me, Athos does kinda feel like an Mythical figure that was somehow still alive in FE7, but at the same time he is litterly the living legend and 1 of the 8 legends. But there are others from said 8 that are mythical in heroes. , Bramimond and St. Elimine, but hose do also feel really mythical so for Athos both fit i think. Also Athos is light, and Nergal darkness in the game, so light might fit and is not used by the other 2 from the 8. Or an fire legendary because of Forblaze which slot Corrin takes this time😅

Okay so I am very tempted to pull on this for Legendary Male Corrin and a Legendary Female Alear for her C Skill for my Legendary Marth, but the July banner has Legendary Elincia and I really want her. And maybe a copy of Loki too.
So I'mma have to say that I'm skipping this banner, as tempting as it is.
TBH, the only thing that makes me sad is he isn't water or wind. Definitely seeing some great potential teaming him up with Ike in AR offense.
I'm tempted to summon to get Gullveig and E!Marth but I'm saving orbs for Attuned Caeda & Ascended Merric re-run, so I'm gonna skip the banner.

I feel like you've had less trouble understanding more convoluted skills than that special which was a bit amusing to witness. At least i understood it quite clearly but perhaps that's just me. Beyond that not sure why you think the special is piercable. %dr doesn't mean it can be pierced plus only one special was ever made piercable as far as i recall.

Hoshido Corrin, firstly lacking the Yato, secondly being a Green Version of the Female Counter (Robin did it first, but better IMO)
Orbs, down and out due to the Fallen Banner and Bridal Banners going rough, with a capital "Ruff" (TLDR - No Focus on either Banner before spark, still going on Fallen cause of 2nd spark for Nergal)
And also, thought next month's Legendary/Mythic Banner would have Ike / Marth, so as much as I want merges on them, I have to pass.
And soon enough, we'll have the Midpoint story banner.
So, we're just f√¢ked all over and over and over.

Nah, there are a few points I could bring up as to why he should be legendary.
1- He's a playable unit, unlike Bramimond and Elimine
2- He's literally introduced as "The Living Legend"
3- Mythic heroes are typically reserved for OCs and Gods/Deities. Athos falls more into the category of just really strong person, like Myrrh/Fae/Tiki
Also, I don't really care that its Corrin. It could have been Myrrh again for all I care lmao. I've checked out years ago
Hard pass on this one, i been wanting a omega yato corrin for a bit now
i already knew that games gwet worse and worse and writing basic sentences to explain basic things but what in the world is that special. what it wants to say is that if you outresses by 10 will you get 40% dr when the special is pre charged and 30% when its not but why in the world be this convoluted. just say res diff * 4 max 40 as that is clearly what they intend this to be with times pulse 4 slaying in the weapon
and also why is high dragon wall just up to 40% when every single other tier 4 dr skill goes up to 50%.
the choice of unit, the absurd way of writing skills, just questionable choices all over and they knew what they did by putting both emblem heroes on to bait pulling from those that don't have them.
Athos is gonna be a demote colourless with no prf. And if he's not, don't act like anyone will summon him. 😊
