Thanks, and yeah it's slightly easier to film when it's not the peak of summer!

Love this part of Kent, always came here for day trips as a kid with family, then later on with friends/ex gf's at the time.
An ex of mine who I was with for 3 + half years still lives in Ramsgate-shame very recently the WHSmiths in the town has not long closed but at least it is being turned into something and not just sitting there doing nothing!

Nice walk. The view of the span of the sea is beautiful from the beach.

The town of my adolescent up-bringing. Had you continued up the hill a little, you would have encountered the splendid CHATHAM HOUSE SCHOOL (alma mater of Sir Edward Heath, Frank Muir, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, abnd many others).

Opposite was the electronics & component shop CTS. Knew it well as I used to call there repping in the mid / late 70’s.

@@EdsCafe I remember that! And there was a newsagent at the bottom of Chatham Street where - as a schoolboy - I would buy 'The International Times' and 'Oz' magazines. Gave me a good 'leftie' start in life; which has slowly morphed to small 'c' conservatism. Shame there's no Party to represent me!

are there public toilets? this is something that always worries me? it's beautifully grim and i actually think i prefer the beach when it's grey. easier to walk around. they really should have public benches by the marina.

Well there's a big Wetherspoon's. That's basically a public toilet in my book.

I lived there for years: beautiful town but awful people. A proper cultural desert

Could you elaborate on awful people please as its one of several places I'm considering moving to? How long ago did you move away?

@@tomnicholas_ignore him, recently a family from London, moved to Ramsgate they sold thir home in London and bought 5 bedroom, victorian house for £350,000.that was last year and they are very happy, and the locals are very friendly. After 37 years living in London is time to move to a better place like Ramsgate.
