- to reduce the width of a wall it is common to use plinth bricks or you could tumble them if the angle is between 45⁰ and 60⁰.
The worst method is to simply step it in each course.
Here you can see the Rolled Batter, by simply adding a curved wedge cut to each end to start the roll and then following the line. This is basically a free hand method, using the level for plumb and only on the lower, longer courses for level.
Absolutely first class rob , please keep posting these wonderful videos 🙏
If i won the lottery, I would employ you to build me a house. Excellent work
This man is an absolute legend in bricklaying hats off to you sir
Superb take a bow Sir

You are the epitome of the term, "Master craftsman."
Well done Rob, I have never done this. I look forward to seeing the finished result!
Great work
Nice job Rob.
Quality .
Brilliant going.
Your line you use, where you get it from ? Use too get the same type from a small local store close down now.
Can’t seem too find that type online anywhere, such a good stretch, last ages.
Thanks
Another interesting job again Master.
I do really like the look of the rolled batter. And the tumbling on the other work you have done.
Brickwork and the bricks looks really good. Do you if finish the perps and beds with a peace of wood or with a jointer
wood and pointing trowel to highlight the brick arrises
Tumbling in ? Oh i see slight difference
Hi Rob. So once you have your sides lined up on the batter, do you just then follow the bed thicknesses . As it is rolling
pretty much, yes lot of eye and level work
Reminds me of Winchester cutting
What is a Winchester cut? Thanks!
