Exactly. The quality of most of the Bollywood films, as well as Tollywood or Bangla movies are extremely low that it beggars description. But the sad part is that we're the one who watch these contents, thus encourage them to make more of these type of movies. Entertainment plays a huge role in our society in this century. Instead of watching these & giving them more money and encouragement, it's for the better if we give a bad response to making these type of contents.

When i was 11 years old...comparing muly age i actually has fuller body, curvy body...once during durga puja, on shashthii me and my mom were hopping pandals, eating street foods, but when we were in sealdah, we are as usual minding our business...we are walking in the crowd and somehow i felt someone was following me...i felt awkward, and then i felt someone is touching my butts sometimes squizing it too, i felt veey very awkward, embarassed, i turned BACK and saw an old man(sabzi wala), older than my grand father, was doing it...after seeing me turning BACK he somehow stopped for a moment (thought i was going to tell my mom) but keep going on again...its one of the most misarable moment in my life, i was walking with mom but actually feeling paralyzed inside...ofcourse at that age i was a naive, i couldn't figure out what the actual hell was happening with me...i told mom to walk faster... She was curious to knows why?...but i ignored that...i still saw that pervert was stalking us...but thanks to the crowd he lost our path...i felt so dirty, but at the same time I couldn't find out what happened...but now whenever I remember that incident I feel dirty always...I wish I told my mom...but!!! How can I..? Guys plz teach your kids about good touches and bad touches...it's very important...I don't want any other kid face embarrassment like me...these incident happened with me so many times... But alas! There was a guy who was staring the girls pretty badly (Girls were unaware of the fact as they were not facing him) and I confronted him by shouting "Kya kar rhe ho bhaisahab, bahut der se dekh rha hu" and he suddenly stood and paid for his tea and left.
One more- I went for buying groceries and milk in a mall with a female friend of mine. She was wearing short sand T-shirt. There were two guys whom I thought had not so right intentions were trying to be just behind her on escalator. While they were trying to approach her, I moved fast and stood behind her.

thank you guys for making this video about social awareness with sexual harassment back in india. i think its great that in your country this is becoming more aware and people are starting to care how women are treated there. but the problem is if an average woman were to be in that scene in the video in real time, most average indian individuals dont normally care to help a stranger on the street from being harassed by a random man a woman doesnt know or ever met in her life. its great that you guys are making scenario about it but it would have been more realistic to show a scene where there werent so many civilians protecting the girl from the harasser because thats not really the reality in india still with its people. im sure they know what a harassment looks like but are too afraid to speak up and help someone that are not their own friends or family members. the average indian people like areas in that video especially seems rural and are too stuck in their outdated mindset to help strangers. i think it would be more beneficial to come up with a scene showing how that woman can defend or protect herself from a male stranger in the most sneaky or clever way without not making herself look likeba victim as well a public cry for help maybe for a change?

I'm sorry but asking someone for a drink is not automatically sexual harassment. Maybe in India where even talking to a woman is seen as a crime, not matter what intentions (which is honestly quite f***ed up as it only builds more division between men and women, which in turn leads to even more sexual harassment as men are literally clueless about women and don't see them as equal human beings....) But in the West, and much of the world outside of India and the Middle East, this is literally how people get to know each other (both men and woman)... although this was creepy after he kept on insisting when she clearly wasn't interested. (No means no.)... But no. Asking for a chat and offering a drink is NOT sexual harassment.
I'm just concerned that content like this with "heroes" standing up to "sexual harassment" will lead to more incidents of moral policing as we saw on Kolkata metro where two people were consensually hugging and they beat up the guy. Or when police beat up legitimate couples for kissing. Or when an entire state passes a law preventing a certain community to love and legally marry members of another... In India it's definitely a slippery slope, and we have to be careful not to immediately react without taking in context and reach the wrong conclusion, but then again it's also the rape capital of the world so you can never be too cautious... I just wish normal healthy love and sexual freedom existed in the country - without creepy dudes, yes, but also without moral policing and vigilante justice where innocent people get lynched just for asking for directions to a group of students. In fact that shows more about your mentality than the victims - if you think talking to a woman automatically entails rape, and talking to children automatically entails kidnapping, it shows that YOU have a problem and are projecting your way of thinking onto others... I mean you can't immediately blame and attack a guy without knowing his intentions and without him actually sexually harassing a woman. You have no right to take law into your own hand. You are not a judge. There is yet another real life story of this when a man called Saravjeet Singh was wrongly accused by one Jasleen Kaur for harassment and lost his job and his whole life. He was acquitted and the women was found to have made up the story. Yet "heroes" like this happily paraded him as a rapists, demanded justice! (On the internet of course. No one dare does that in real life).
Yes we have to stand up to legitimate sexual harassment, which ironically never happens in real life in India because individual judgment is always overruled by mob mentality trying to enforce religious conservative (and honestly blatantly sexists) morals & behaviour. In reality it's a lot more fu**ed up than shown in this whitewashed skit. In real life rapists walk free and violence towards women is never questioned (when a husband beats his wife she deserved it, when a husband rapes his wife it's not rape because they are married), yet sweet love and legitimate interests between attracted humans is instantly shut down and shamed in an effort to prevent some sort of crime, probably a "moral" crime (sex before marriage? God forbid!... (I never had that, never spoke to a woman before the age of 30, and am in a shitty arranged marriage with a person I dislike, so you must suffer the same faith.)) which might never happen -- again, mentally backwards people projecting their dirty minds onto the innocent and liberally minded. Be cautions when judging. And stand up when you actually have to.
As India develops, becomes more integrated into the global culture, and as more people start urban lives -- it's values too will need to progress. Now is a good time to question where your social rules actually come from and whether they could be improved for everyone's benefit.
